I think rather than grinding down the fitting I would try putting some washers between the pump and the base. While the pump is loose I would thread the fitting on to the pump.
Hi Will I know this is an old video, but I have just followed the same solution that you had, however after mounting the adapter and ball valve the flow of oil is less due to the small hole from adapter.Have you seen same issue? What will be you recommendation?btw did not grind the adapter it did fit well without obstruction 39G HF Compressor
The capacity can vary from 16-22 fluid ounces, and oil weight can vary from SAE 20 to 40, depending on which revision of this compressor you have and how much you are able to drain. Check the manual on the HF website. Or, buy at least 2 quarts, and slowly fill the pump until the level is spot-on in the site glass.
I’m a day late on asking this question but is it possible just to get a male to male m6 pipe that’s just 1” long? Or am I even asking the correct question

It's certainly possible to make! If you gin one for sale please link to it here.
What is the capacity ?
Message it??
What if you caress it??
Maybe make one on a C.N.C Lathe... If you had access to one at work.
Yes, wouldn't that be great! I'm amazed no one has started making a quality part/solution for this and sold it for $19.95.
What thread is the oil drain adapter? M6 -1 or M6-1.5? Thanks!
Mine was an M6-1.0. I would recommend bringing your plug to the hardware store to verify though!
Ok Will, thanks a bunch!
4:13 That’s what she said 😂
can I ask you how many hours you have on it. I'm looking at buying one of those tomorrow. My 23 year old Craftsman finally gave up the ghost today.
If I had to guess, maybe averaging 1-2 hours per month for 5-6 years. I'd buy another one if it died tomorrow, or upgrade to the 60-gallon 2-stage.

Awesome im buying that adapter lol
