    Kobe schooled Lebron? If I'm not wrong, LeBron and Kobe, in their 17 encounters with one another. Lebron is 13-4 against Kobe. So who's schooling who?

    • @DavidPavlovich2
      @DavidPavlovich2 11 лет назад +11

      First of all i agree with you kobe never schooled lebron in his prime, but you cant compare victories, its a team effort. Personally i dont think its even right to compare them. i mean kobes on the verge of retiring and is well past his prime. so this rivalry is pointless.

  • @Dragotarify
    @Dragotarify 11 лет назад

    Agreed. It's always like people forget that basketball is a team game and MJ is not the one who won these rings by himself but he was surrounded by two hall of famers and a great bench. Patrick Ewing was another great Center who never won a ring. Kobe on the other site doesn't appear on most lists of "Top 10 greatest off all time" although he won 5 rings. He is just being seen as that great cause he still plays. It's just that easy. And many seem to forget the doctor ...

  • @mvp5316
    @mvp5316 11 лет назад

    You're absolutely right. Look at the Lakers this year. Kobe had to do everything just so his team could even make the playoffs. What made that story so sad is Kobe got injured right before the playoffs and Lakers lost the series bad and got eliminated. James had to do what was best for him and he wanted a title sooner than later. He had every right to leave because he was a free agent, but what i found disrespectful was that he had to make a whole TV show about him leaving the Cavs.

  • @temski89
    @temski89 11 лет назад

    Lebron said he came 2nd in the defensive player of the year vote and right after that, Ahmad commented that his efforts at the defensive end may have been underappreciated. Wich would suggest that him coming 2nd in the league in the defensive player of the year vote would be underappreciating his defensive efforts. Right?

    exactly, and 1 mvp is a lot cause he always depended on dominant big man to win championships. In other words, he was a role player with a superstar tag.
    (centers draw double teams to have kobe or fisher open)

  • @Jplayam0n3y
    @Jplayam0n3y 11 лет назад

    The game is so much different now as compared to back than. Today's players are a lot more faster, stronger, and taller, making that shot not as effective as it was back than. It also takes an amazing touch to make the shot as lethal as when Kareem was using it. Also, now a days many players don't play with their back to the basket. So much of basketball is played with driving, slashing, and 3pt shooting.

  •  11 лет назад

    last year in the playoffs made me respect his game he put the heat on his back and won a ring not that he did it by himself but there were games where he came up big. The Celtics game prime example anyways he will go down as one of the greats.

  • @jparkerez23
    @jparkerez23 11 лет назад

    I disagree at the "much more close" statement. Kobe is a five-time NBA Champion with two Finals MVP's. he's also a two time League MVP and a two time Scoring Champion. Lebron is a one time NBA Champion with one Finals MVP. He's a four time League MVP and one time Scoring Champion. Let's be realistic, it is a "much more close" race than many people think!

  • @junjierocks
    @junjierocks 11 лет назад

    That's where you're wrong. He's good not only because of his physicality, but also because of his skills both on AND off the ball. He can shoot, he can pass, he can rebound, he can dunk. Add that to his defense and this is why he's one of the best. Oh the irony of your username.

  • @KrizH3
    @KrizH3 11 лет назад

    I agree with your ring theory, but i believe Bill Russell is greater than MJ. Even though you can't compare them, because they're not playing the same position. Like come on, Bill Russell was arguably the most dominant center off all time.

  • @acealex123
    @acealex123 11 лет назад

    Not only was Bill Russel the most winning-est player in NBA history, but he is the best rebounder and arguably the best low post defender of all time. He might have a height disadvantage, but he would destroy most bigmen of this era.

  • @manb4war

    Lebron doesn't owe Cleveland anything. They were fortunate to have him after the way they treated him during his high school career. Him and his hs team were putting more butts in the seats than the Cavs and they were trying early on to bar him from playing if you rememver the whole Hummer incident. I think it was cool that he still showed them love. He is the number one player with that comes options and flexibility...he wasnt made...he earned every dollar

    Well if you're going to bring that up, bring up the fact that Dwight Howard was playing though a shoulder and back injury nearly the entire time, Steve Nash was hurt for most of the season, so was Pau Gasol, Steve Blake, and Jordan Hill. Even Earl Clark was hurt for a while. Not to mention the new players and new coach. Please don't try to make it look like Kobe getting the Lakers into the playoffs was a small thing.

  • @Alex18PR

    Kobe average 21 pts, 29 pts and 26 pts during the playoffs in his 3 championship runs with Shaq. In the finals he average 15 pts while playing with an ankle injury against the Pacers(After Jalen Rose Intentionally Injured him in game 2), he average almost 25 pts against the Sixers and 27 ppg in the finals against the Nets. Was he really a sidekick??

    You know why people, especially young people, keep comparing other players to Michael Jordan? Because defensive highlights aren't as popular as offensive highlights. That has to be it. That being said, Hakeem Olajuwon is the second best player in history in terms of having dominance on the BOTH the offensive and defensive side of the ball; THEN, LeBron is third in HISTORY. That's pretty impressive actually.

    He is actually averaging more points in crunch time than any other player over the last i think it was 2 or 3 seasons. He has a better % on shots in the last 24 seconds than Kobe... iam not saying he is better than Michael Jordan but i think he is closer than Kobe at least on the statsheet. Not when you realize the reason there were less teams. Not as popular as it is when magic, larry, mj, now kobe & lbj played. If less kids idolize basketball less kids want to play basketball professionally. Why do you think nba, nfl, mlb focus on commercials for kids? So they get the best athletic talent possible. Less teams(not popular at the time)->less kids with athletic talent wanting to play->less $ into nba ads->people dont spend time creating and updating nba plays like today w adv stats.

    Would have love to see Pippen on his prime years defend Lebron now. If Lebron tried to pass him to go for the dunk like a running back.. Scottie would take a charge out of him every time. He would be in foul trouble all the time with Scottie defending him and shooting jump shots. Scottie was so quick to move his feat and draw charges.. he was the best at it...and if you add his long arms.. I don't think Lebron could score 30 on him, not one night.
    Nobody seems to sacrifice their body now.

  • @Fllemingo
    @Fllemingo 11 лет назад

    You're only looking at stats. James brought the Heat and Cavaliers up to the playoff games for over 200+times in clutch situations. He's lead the league in assists too so scoring titles don't care.

  • @BornToLove331
    @BornToLove331 11 лет назад

    Kobe wanted to left because the management could not get him Jason Kidd or whoever he wanted, until Pau came. On the other hand, Cavs gave everything to Lebron. Even Mike Brown had to listen to every word of Lebron. I think the team is doing good enough. Look at his "Decision", he is hurting people, regardless of fans' feeling.

  • @BornToLove331
    @BornToLove331 11 лет назад

    so you mean superstars should get together in one team? Ray Allen was making 3-pointers every night when he was 26, KG was getting the rebounds and turn around shoots when he was 26, did they complain all the teammates stuff at that age? ... I've never seen any superstar join another star's team when he's in such a young age. Lebron just wasn't brave enough to keep fighting, he just wanted a shortcut to success.

Don't say "oh Kobe couldn't blah blah" He didn't average his pathetic 17 points or w/e while healthy. He was like No.3 on that team that finals. Then he went against the youngest finals team, and now he's finally going against a team which was half(Since their way older,and few injured) as good as the Celtics Kobe went against.
