The collar behind the jaw front is a great idea. I use one for my worm screw and i'll make one for my tower jaws next. I've made a variety of these candle holders. nice job.
I just got a couple of nice pieces of Hawthorne that I found on a walk through a nature park. I figure it's better to show off the figure than to let it rot. I wish I could share pictures of the raw material with you. Very nice wood. I've set up my freezer kiln, and it's working overtime.
All my tools are available to purchase from my website (ship within UK Only). You need to see my videos on turning bowls to see what I have used. Too many tools to recommend only one or two. I can't recommend what you should use. www.ukwoodcraftandcarbidechisels.co.uk
Just bought you a coffee, for what what ever the reason is it listed me as "someone bought you a coffee" The name is John St Pierre. Grate work on the vids
Thank you so much John. We wondered who Someone was. We have given a shout out a few times to thank you in videos. Now we know. Glad you are enjoying the videos.
@@glennteagleofukwoodcraftca5308 Since there's no rules in wood turning please alert me when you plan to hollow a form with a Spindle Gouge. I really want to see that!
You do know that wood burns. When the candle melts low enough, it will catch fire. Even those little tea lights will get hot enough. Ask me how I know.
Yes, I do know wood burns. Obviously you didn't. So did you leave a lighted candle unattended? Or did you just sit there and watch it burn down and catch fire? Tea light holders do not come with common sense, that you have to apply yourself. SO. How do you know this ?? Please tell.
Not my cup of tea, but I see the artistic and quality of your work . Just one thing please don't move the rest while the lathe is on, i only ask this for younger and less experienced wood turners.

Great Video, thanks! One question, what is the "Finishing oil"? Boiled Linseed? Or is it something different? Thanks
Thanks. You will need to look up Chestnut Finishing Oil ingredients for that.
I like that one.
Glad you enjoyed it.
Very cool. What finish did you use? Thanks
Remember boys and girls.....turn off the lathe before readjusting the tool rest...😂
Thank you for watching. Glad you enjoyed the video.
Very nice.
Thanks Jonny
You mean I can't fill the candle pocket with JP4?
Wakodahatchee Chris
You can can fill it with whatever you want. Your wood, your workshop. No rules or laws in woodturning

He had to make 2 videos because “they” can’t get enough of these. 😊

Losing your mind Michael I'm afraid. 2 totally different shaped tea light holders. The mounting process was the same.
