  • 1992 F350 part 2 - Door hinge pins and bushing replacement
    This is a fairly simple way to change door hinge pins and bushings on the OBS Ford Trucks. Even easier with the fenders off in this situation but can be done with fenders on if you are careful

    Thanks for another great video. That truck is in amazing condition for an Ohio truck. I've seen 2012 trucks in worse shape. Good to have you back on the tube. PS don't put that plow away just yet 🌞❄⛄

    Nice repair - seen so many old Ford with floppy doors :)

    Good repair. Good tutorial. I sure wish the newer vehicles had good hold open hardware like this truck. Most of the dang things won't hold open on a downhill slope with a tailwind!

      I don’t know why newer vehicles don’t have much detent in the hinges...

    Nice video!!! I got lucky with my F-650. The entire fiberglass hood flips out of the way.

    My f350 hinges are shot after doing this 4 years ago.Thought about having some bushings made from oil lite like I bought for my ski doo control arm bushings.

    You pin popper you. Lol. I have new bushings and pins for my Firebird and I would guess they probably come apart and go together the same way so thanks for the how to brother.

      This style is probably one of the easier ones. The GM ones like yours have that spring to deal with

    Those new bushings don't last long! 2 to 3 years later I need another set.

    Is eastwood paint good to use?

      I have never used their topcoat paint. Only their internal frame coating and cavity wax. I have heard it is a budget type paint so take it for what it is worth

    • @bigmurph1447
      @bigmurph1447 6 лет назад

      Velvethamma ok thanks what type of paint would you use to paint a truck with

    • @Velvethamma

      Depends on how long you want it to last. I use DeBeer and Valspar mostly. It also depends on budget for your project. Some basecoat colors can be overwhelmingly expensive and the clearcoat too. It’s common to have $1500- $2000 in paint and primer material for a restoration job using top shelf products.

      Velvethamma it's for my work truck. But I don't want it to be faded in 5 years. What would you use or do. Where can I buy the paint at

    • @Velvethamma
      @Velvethamma  6 лет назад

      big murph
      Probably the best thing to do is go to your local automotive paint supply store and see what they carry. I’m not a big fan of mail order paint. I like having the support of an actual local supplier.
