Thank you for this video. I have recently been playing flame thrower and I enjoy it. I don't know how I feel about the changes to the tick speed though. The change to attunement damage also concerns me. I run light 200 con and I still get slapped by great axe after a stun, so I am not too thrilled about flame thrower damage being slower now. Melee already had me pretty good. I really feel that this entire game is an uphill battle when fighting melee, unless one is aimbotting with a musket or bow.
10 fortify as a light armor player is a increase damage TAKEN. the 2% extra dmg ppl get from invig punishment ring vs you is more than the extra tankyness from 10% fortify
When I attack with FS heavy or light it seems there is an animation delay for me before I can move but it doesn't seem to affect you . Am I missing something?

Hahaha no no hear me out, we now crit more, we just do less dmg, and there's no perk our there that will increase the dmg for both basics and abilities. Specially abilities.
I hear, but you only dealt a critical hit 3 times out of 20 hits! (starting at 3:50), so not sure about "more". KJ works for everything (KE too), and on top of that, bleeding prevents the enemy from clearing stacks of burning
@@alexeyalexandrov8511 i counted 5 crits in 23 hits but, but u aren't always hitting 1 target, in OPR, Wars, Arenas u are constantly hitting several targets, while keenly jagged is very good is single target and i would recommend it more for the flamethrower build, and keenly empowered is also good, but vicious is a more reliable dmg, and yes in live version we have 4% crit chance on the FS, in Season 1 we will have 10%.
You could 100%, just know that I'd fighting a grp you won't be able to reliably spam pillars and if you are fighting another mage with pof on staff they will be using it more than you due to the CD reduction so just have that in mind.
you mention that "watch it burn" is now mandatory on flamethrower but did you actually test if it works now? because on live currently it does NOT work with flamethrower and incinerate (since they already apply a burn by default they will not apply an additional one on crit...) would be rly cool if they fixed that on ptr

i been playing FS with 200 con since the very beginning, and i have won every tourney and beat 99% of the player base, 200 con is the safest place for a mage since we are medium range, we get hit by bow/muskets/mages and also get hit by melees, and with the changes to fortification having 200 con is now better than ever.
Yea but more crit chance cant cover that difference in dmg? Like the final dmg output wont be same or better with more crit chance? 11% crit is kinda alot and it works for all skills and auto attacks. Did u maybe try to check amount of crits when u used staff with keen and without?
@@elokurffy3577 oh 100% i think a full crit build will be really fun, and i honesty think it can preform really well. so if you go with keen on staff and on ring is 24% + 10% from staff + 10% from skill tree totaling at 44% and that's a lot, if FS is the main weapon i would love a full crit build, but since i use BB on the side, BB doesnt benefit from critical at all, so is better to go full fire dmg for me. Now if you are playing FS/IG with spike you can totally go with a full crit build.
Yeah if you go into a melee boy u might get hurt, but if you play it smart on a stammed out enemy u can burst them down super fast, or also on a distracted range like healer, musket, archers.
Yes sir 100% just gotta use your rolls to avoid attacks instead of gaining distance, it might be a little difficult at first specially after playing light

The thing about keenly jagged is that is single target. So if you crit several ppl only one gets jagged

Yeah, you will actually see Fortify benefits in medium specially if running it with shirking fort

The one I recommend, net shot/KE/attunement, the KE could be replaced with jagged or enchanted.

oh you defintely could now and spend those 2 points into something else, i just really like the explosion at the end it adds style.

You could. You will just be doing less dmg than if u go full fire dmg. The difference is between 100-300 dmg, so it is more of a min max thing.

Free 615 staff with 2 of the good perks, nice for new players
Is bb fs good in medium?
Super strong, it just needs some getting used to, especially coming from light
