    This is one of the reasons why I think the Attuned Leather pants are underrated. They can work well for any build and I like them best in the DoT builds. There's usually a artifact that is slightly/definitely better but if you don't have the time these are the go-to armor artifact. I use them in many builds since I don't want to spend the gold/time to upgrade every artifact, especially now since I have started over.

      only reason I use featherweight over attuned is the fact im a healer and I want as much armor as I can get on light build . Cant heal if im getting one shotted 🥲

      I have 3 heal builds, Wizard hat, Feather and the Attuned Leather pants, With the pants you can go 350 foc 200 int 100+ con, The 200 INT makes healing so much easier with the free mana every time you Crit, you cant really do this with the other 2 builds unless you go with 50 con so I use pants 90% of the time.

    since the musket shot counts as a light attack, and musket enjoyers should always run attuned leather pants, 25 STR node is a must have.

    Nice video, a few questions:
    1. Is there any way to see your total crit chance and crit dmg?
    2. Does crit chance/dmg also affect abilities?
    3. What are the different ways to improve DoT dmg (e.g. bleed dmg)?
    Thanks!

    In PVE where 5 up to 50 con gives you more points to play with, i see people running 500 strength playing hammer or 500 dex playing bow. XD I will share your video. Thanks for the video and keep up the good work.

      Nothing necessarily wrong with running 500 points in one stat, specifically single stat weapons. You can run 500/100 without even having particularly optimized gear. Points in your main stat give you bonus damage 100% of the time.
      Hammer sounds ass as a dps weapon though, I'll say that much.

      for this very reason i have a build with 300 dex and 250 int for my nature bow and musket build, at 250 int you get +30% dot duration, if i shoot a poison arrow into a crowd, the damage stays ticking for soooo long with the extra duration for poison on my ring too, the bleeds from my keenly jagged perks last such a long time too

    Duke probably silly question . I know from the past that in pvp the weapon crit damage multiplier shouldn't be less than 1,30 if you want to crit or play with vicious right? But if you put 25 int points that gives you 5+ crit damage, does that make it higher? For example greasword from 1,25 becomes 1,30 crit dmg multiplier?

    • @ab3240
      @ab3240 12 дней назад

      It works, but it really depends on your build. If you want high damage specifically for your bow, 450 dex would generally do more than 350 dex 100 str and also apply to things like explosive arrow (and also let you use a split gem to get around resistances in PvP). However, if you are also getting damage for your offhand from str (ex. hatchet, spear, GS), then taking a small hit to your bow dmg for a large gain to your offhand dmg makes more sense.

    • @JesterJack
      @JesterJack 12 дней назад

    been doing some testing with boltcaster bow and Im curious if 50 strength is worth it over just putting that 45 in to dex. From what I can tell the dex comes out better. Also I dont do much light attacking with bow so the first node doesnt hold much value. The other thing im a bit confused about is the fact that it does lightning dmg but still scales with dex. so will I also get more damage with lightning harness on armor and lightning damage on amulet?

    • @crinch841
      @crinch841 15 дней назад +1

      Lightning Harnessing, Lightning Runeglass, and Lightning Damage (Ring Perk) all count towards your Lightning Empower Cap. Amulet is defensive, not offensive.

    • @ab3240
      @ab3240 15 дней назад +1

      Put it in to dex 1000%. Hitting dummies with autos is a nice toy example but it does not really give you enough info to make a decision. Attribute nodes in other stats do give you some benefit, but they do not give your entire kit damage. Ranged DPS are not killing things without giving increased dmg to their abilities. Strength nodes will do nothing for your abilities on boltcaster.

      And for boltcaster/rapier a common split is 350 dex 150 int 150con.
      With attu pants 725gs
      25str
      350dex
      150int
      150con
      If you don't care about rapier dmg, u could go 50 int 150 con, rest dex. (With attu at 725, again u can pick up 25str)

      @@blackteq2341 Last time I checked, the charged bow attack is classified as a "charged light attack", rather than a heavy attack, meaning it shouldn't benefit from 50 STR. I know there was some back and forth with its functionality with that passive back then, so you might wanna double check if the damage is even increased at all from 25 to 50 STR, not sure what the current state of that is. As for the damage perks, crinch has said everything that matters. ThaCousin knows what he's talking about, the 150 int split is popular due the ele dmg increase. But more dex is absolutely viable too.

    • @ab3240
      @ab3240 12 дней назад

      Generally speaking 100 str and 50/150 int are the only nodes you can look for if you want damage on your skills from attributes that your weapon does not already scale with.
      The more consistent option for classes that are more ability reliant is to just pump more attribute points in to your primary damage stat, assuming you are playing a single stat weapon.
      This is a big part of the reason why it is so common for int based DPS to play around 400 int, often times more.

    I know it's not related, but I made a point about that same thing with attuned leather and void blade in a BABOONBANANA99 video x)
    Since you can profit of absolutely all 25 passives and still are going to invest in at least 3 attributes.

  • @ab3240
    @ab3240 15 дней назад

    Why do you STILL do these "tests" with no tree? Strength points on bow are worthless unless you're going bow/hatchet and want to have offensive pressure with the hatchet. Comparing your damage increase with points in dex compared to points in other attributes WITHOUT a tree will almost always favor the points in the other stat because of how the damage formula works. Points after 350 experience diminishing returns. However, points in other stats also experience diminishing returns because they're giving you base damage on top of the rest of your kit, which (IF you use a tree and actual gear, etc) already has a TON of base damage in it.

    • @connordungan9792

      @@connordungan9792 The weapon perk tree LOL? In what world is your attribute distribution a "tree"?
      When you actually play the game, you try to proc as many of your damage bonuses as possible. When we decide to put points in to this attribute or that, or to take this perk or that perk, we should consider how it changes our damage when we play the way we would normally play... Not how it changes our damage while we intentionally try not to proc anything XD

    • @seatorio
      @seatorio 15 дней назад

      If his base damage is going up then all damage would increase. That’s why it’s called BASE damage if he did this same test with a full skill tree you would still see a damage increase(probably slightly different however). During tests it’s more beneficial to test with the least amount of variable possible. That’s why he is only testing the base damage.

    • @ab3240
      @ab3240 15 дней назад

      @@seatorio Thank you for your equally clue|ess response. I do not blame you though, none of this is explained through the game. You can literally calculate the numbers in this video if you want. I will show you.
      15% from light + 5% from the 50 dex passive + 4% from his enchanted perk on a 610 GS bow (lmfao) = 24%. This is his base dmg bonus with no tree. Going from 1.24 -> 1.29 yields an "actual" damage bonus of 1.0403. Multiply his initial LA dmg (2131) by this value and you get his 25 str dmg value (~2217).
      If ALL you did was equip Boltcaster and STILL not use a tree, you'd be going from 45% initial to 50% after 25 str bonus. This is now an "actual" damage bonus of 1.0344. This number would deteriorate further and further if you took talents, like the long range one (+10% if further than 10m), the finishing shot one (+15% if enemy under 50% HP), or the mark one (+10% if enemy is debuffed), or the surprise attack one (+15% if you have not hit enemy in 10s).
      Now, if the bonus is so small, do you really want to take STR on a bow build when you could just take points dex and benefit your entire kit?

    • @DukeSloth
      @DukeSloth  15 дней назад +3

      @@ab3240 This isn't a bow dps "test" video, this is a video demonstrating the general value of split stats in some situations for new players - and I said as much. No "tests" were done here, just a few quick examples. If I was to do tests, it would be for specific builds and with bis weapons. I don't know why you're obsessing over a video from a year ago and bringing up Boltcaster when it really isn't relevant to the conversation. We get it, you like playing bow and don't like the (very popular) 25 STR loadout. It's ok. Play your way. No one is taking that from you. There are situations where STR splitting is better and others where it's not and it'll forever be impossible to test for all of those variables at once when you also need to factor in various kinds of mitigations and reductions for a realistic scenario. Plus with Attuned, this is barely an investment to begin with. If you genuinely believe your stat split is superior to everyone else's in all situations then congrats, you have an advantage over the competition at all times!
