I didn't even know you could upgrade non-artefact items. This is something I really hate about NW. There is so much the game doesn't even mention once. Many systems are confusing and probably created by a junior designer on their first day. Absolutely great video, almost essential for a new player. Thank you.
This whole system just highlights that AGS never had a defined gear progression system. Change after change have left everything with a convoluted and confusing system, that just isn't bad but also unintuitive. For the next big gear system update they make (Next expansion?) they should just make ALL current pieces of gear invalid, and introduce a new GOOD and fleshed out system that is scalable for the future in a way that makes it easy to both use and understand.
No evidence that this game isnt in management mode. If they weren't just milking the players with a relaunch then you'd think a road map would already be out. So expecting any real system reworks is just prepping for disappointment.

Thanks to this video, I learned something. I can't see the difference between the real thing and the fake one, so I just buy the fake one. But if you want to buy it in the future, it is better to invest in the real thing. But now I am still considering buying a fake one within the budget. I have been waiting for kislux for a long time.
What about crafter? Can you talk about that as well? I am leveling armor skill, but not sure what it takes to craft 725 gear (can I roll with 2 perker with less resource, or more resource with 3 perk BIS)???
Most use Onyx/Opals for armor and Opal for weapons (or diamond for healers). You can use specific ones to resist slash/thrust if those damage types are more prevalent in pvp, but then you're vulnerable to all other damage types. Of course there are also runeglass versions for rich people. I run 5 Onyx and 3 Opals as a lifestaff healer because I find physical damage more oppressive.
Can you make a guide on territory standing? As in the most efficient or quickest methods. It takes so long and I wonder if I'm doing anything wrong or if I'm oblivious to some mechanic etc.
Could you cover/experiment how to change the perks on an already upgraded 725 Artifact item? Does the non-coconut recipe downgrade it to 700? Does it stay 725? Do you need to spend a coconut every time you want to change a perk on an artifact?
Ahh this cleared up a question I ran into. I farmed a shield for my tank because it had some really good perks. But I could not upgrade it so it must have been under the level cap.
Question. When I take my Odo to upgrade it has 2 lines, one for 700 and one for 725. If I do the 700 one can you still do the 725 one in the future. Is there any benefit of doing both? Or should I wait to get a coconut and only do the 725 one.
Came looking for this answer too! Am I missing out on something if I skip the 700 upgrade and go straight to 725? Can’t believe this baggins guy didn’t go over this?
Great video but I do have a question- I have two inventories full of Named items I have collected - most of them I would never use but I kept them “just in case” I ever needed them. Should I just go ahead and break them down now since I won’t be able to get them to 725 or do we think AGS will change their minds on named items ? Thank you !
A 700 GS item with 3 great perks are better than a 725 GS item with bad perks. The only time I would break down those 700 GS items is if you have a 725 GS with better perks to replace it with.
Any clues on why I’m not seeing “Named Item Crafting” as an option at the GK? I have a few things that seem to be eligible for upgrades but the kiln doesn’t offer me the option to upgrade them

Was disappointed that I couldnt upgrade heart of anhurawak. Its such a great ring, but its only L55 required. Weird since it drops off a L70 in an elite area. I guess Ill be camping the synchretic ring.
Hey, great video. One question though I don’t have any items to be crafted for dark materia. I want chest of frigid dawn and there’s no named items to be crafted why is that? Do I have to drop it one time and then it can be recrafted?
I wish AGS would simplify upgrading gear easier in that they should put an indicator on a piece of gear/weapon showing it can be upgraded. You get so much gear its overwhelming at times and also needing to have the item in your inventory or not being worn at the time is sort of odd, why can't you store an item in a storage shed in the same town as the kiln and able to see if that item is upgradable ? or standing at the kiln and I have a ring or amulet on and being able to see if I can upgrade it then either go get the item out of storage or unslot the item and upgrade it ?

Just don't salvage Deckhand's promotion earring as you won't be able to ever get it again and it's a very strong 'illegal' (it's an earring with weapon gem in it) item.
