Both Sapphire Cards are great but since you can only have one, will you be getting the Preferred or the Reserve? 💳 Preferred: www.dailydrop.com/credit-cards/chase-sapphire-preferred-card 💳 Reserve: www.dailydrop.com/credit-cards/chase-sapphire-reserve
Great videos as always! Personally, I started with the Preferred and eventually upgraded to the Reserve. I personally feel like I get the most bang for my buck via the lounge access, especially since I primarily fly out of LGA and JFK which have Chase lounges (they are fantastic). My wife and I plan the lounge experience into our trip and each of us can easily have $30-$50 worth of food and drink per visit. So covering the $250 of the card fee (subtracting the $300 credit) is not a problem. Apart from that, the point multipliers are excellent. I’m luckily able to recoup expended points relatively quickly.
I just took advantage of this at the Denver airport about a week ago. Unfortunately I had to because the Capital One lounge was closed due to airport construction/maintenance issues. Fortunately I currently have both cards.
@@ryanccc777 yeah, that kinda sucks, but that was only the second time I’ve used it in the past eight or so years (used it once before when CSP offered many of the same benefits now offered by CSR), and I wouldn’t have even used it if the Capital One lounge would have been open.
I literally opened up my Sapphire Preferred card today 🎉 I’m not a huge traveler but I am looking to do more this year and next year. Thank you for your side by side. I may upgrade to Reserve later one day 😊
it's worth noting that if you're active duty military or spouse, sapphire reserve is a no brainer because the annual fee is waived whereas capital one is not so generous
The Venture X and Chase Preferred is the exact combo I’m running with right now. I was strictly with my AMEX Gold but I’ve racked up a good amount of points to sit on and try to build these up.
Thank you so much! This means a lot. We use Final Cut Pro to edit our videos, but also have some that have been edited using Premiere Pro. Both are great!
I have both the CSR and Venture X. I’m comparing their benefits over the next year to see which I’ll decide to keep. I like the expansion of CSR’s lounge network and its protections, so I’m leaning toward keeping the CSR, but if VX significantly expands its lounge network, I’ll definitely reconsider-somewhere along the lines of Chase trifecta with CSP and the VX and Savor One. We’ll see.
Both are great cards, but if you are still struggling to decide if you want to keep both or get rid of one, we also have a Venture X review video on our channel that could help with weighing the benefits of both! We will be curious to see how many Chase lounges start popping up soon, though.
If you applied for the Chase Sapphire Preferred card say May 2024 to get bonus can you apply for the IHG One say August 2024 can you get bonus ? it says if you have applied for a bonus in the last 24 months you won’t get bonus?
Somebody wanna give me examples of "Grocery Stores" that AREN'T Target, Walmart, Costco, Sam's? If the CSP doesnt work at those, specifically, does it just work at places like Asian Markets, Carnicerias, maybe Market Street/Whole Foods?? Genuinely curious as I already have the Amazon Prime Visa with 5% back at W.F.
By the way, for the Chase Sapphire Preferred, there is an in-branch offer for an additional 10,000 point welcome bonus if you spend $6k within 6 months
I just confirmed that with my local Chase branch. I’ll be going in today to apply for a CSR. I’m excited to get a mid-tier card instead of using my basic CC I’ve been using since I was in my mid 20s
Unfortunately, a lot of the cards that did offer this dropped this benefit at the end of June. There are some very niche products, but this benefit is pretty few and far between. Thanks for the great question!
The videos are usually great but it’s a little disingenuous not to call out the CSR is losing the restaurant benefit very soon especially when you push referral links

Why can you only have one of them?
Never mind. You answered it later in the video
Great review and this might be a timing issue with the recording, but the CSR is getting rid of the priority pass restaurant benefit as of 7/1/24.
I just took advantage of this at the Denver airport about a week ago. Unfortunately I had to because the Capital One lounge was closed due to airport construction/maintenance issues. Fortunately I currently have both cards.
@@DicksonMaimouth glad it worked out for you, but it’s unfortunate the PP restaurant benefit on the CSR is going away in a month and a half.

It’s not a timing issue as they could’ve added a note in at the end of while discussing the benefit. It’s a little off putting.
@@mtuze8356 agree 100%, I think the fact that the CSR is losing PP restaurants is pretty well known in the credit card space at this point.

Woohoo 🎉 Awesome to hear! Be sure to let us know where these points take you on your travels.

Venture X and Sapphire Preferred combo hasn’t let me down yet!
This is what I was thinking 🤔
Amazing combo! 👏
Great minds think alike 😉

Absolutely! A great way to thank those individuals for their service!
You mentioned you would upgrade to the reserve, however 5/24 gets in the way. There’s no 5/24 in upgrades.
Would love to see a video comparing CSR to Amex Platinum.

Have you done a video on the Capitol One Venture card with Chase Preferred combo?
Yes, we have a video on our channel called “Why I Chose THIS Two Card Combo” which compares two different combos. Check it out :)
I just applied for Sapphire Preferred yesterday. Can’t wait to get the card
Amazing 🎉👏
Thank you for all these awesome information and comparison! 😊

Nice vid. Also, do you edit your own videos or do you have an editor?
Thank you! Both. We work with an editor for some of the videos, but then edit some on our own as well.
Lol “minimal effort” to use transfer partners. 😂
(Except to Hyatt of course)

Great video! Thanks for getting into the details to help make this decision.
Our pleasure!
Can you still get the bonus points for the reserve if you have the preferred?
No as you can only get one Sapphire bonus every 48 months!
Good info. That's my goal for 2024, CSP, then hopefully a CVX.
Awesome!
Why would I have to wait for 4 years to reapply for Sapphire card? I thought you’re eligible after 48hrs. Please correct me if I’m wrong! 🙇🏻♂️🙏🏻
I believe the four years relates to when you are eligible for another sign up bonus
You're eligible to reapply for another sign up bonus for the card (either Preferred or Reserved) 48 months/4 years after your current card was opened.
@@ytvanessa❤
48 months not hours. You are trying to be funny.

Whole Foods, ACME, Hannafords.. think of stores that don’t offer cards. You can possibly call them and tell them the transaction is at a grocery store
@jadeekinz Alright, thanks! Never heard of the latter 2, but I've got the Amazon Prime Visa with 5% back at Whole Foods.

I have a question, How do I get the perks of Venture X and Sapphire Preferred., when all my monthly expenses can be covered by one card?
Are there other cards that offer access to PP restaurants?
