“Something Beautiful!” is my specialty! 😍
With all the despair of recent world events, what a respite it is to visit a place where planting orchards, meadows, and butterfly gardens is the business of the day. Thank you Aaron and Laura for offering another much needed perspective. Because of you, our little lot in the middle of the suburbs holds promise of a little GA whimsy.
God bless your sweet family and the work that you do!
Well said Sandra! My yard is certainly brighter because of Garden Answer. Also in GA!❤️
I could not agree more :-)
So well said! Always excited to see what these two are up to! They are a joy to me.
I was just going to say…👆🏼👆🏼👆🏼👆🏼
👏👏👏Well said!
Benjamin on his own little tractor was just about the cutest thing I have ever seen and when he was racing His Dad, well, I thought what a great life for a child to grow up with! Don’t care if you are planting trees, antiquing or cooking, all your videos are interesting, informative and downright enjoyable! Blessings!
He is adorable!
Aaron has come along way... yrs ago he never spoke during the videos... And now he's giving you sass! yay Aaron 👏🏾🙃🤪
I was thinking the same thing, lol!
Back in the good old days !!! Sorry to easy 💃
Yes it’s so nice to see real virtual friends
Yeah, and it would be great if Laura surprised him with a man-cave...something him and Benjamin could enjoy doing together and make their bond even stronger. Because truth be told, this is all Laura's dream, she should really do something special for him for always being so patient, willing to help and sacrificing by paying for any and everything Laura needs.
After I retired I went through a “lul” time sort of bored but not really. Then the nasty virus and life changes. I started watching Garden Answer and became inspired. Both inside and outside the home. I now approach everyday projects with Laura enthusiasm. And I feel good about what I can accomplish…… like all the carpet cleaning I did yesterday. So thanks Laura and Aaron for showing us how to enjoy life even through tough times and busy times!
Laura enthusiasm!
Janice, I love it!
Amen to that!!
Same here!
Ooh Janice.... me too. I feel Laura and Aaron were called by God to encourage us through this mischievous era. I'm thankful to watch their Garden of children grow into productive beautiful beings just like the plants they tend. So very encouraging...
The joy on Benjamin's face when he's racing you back up the lane. Priceless! 😍 Won't be long before he'll be driving the real thing!
Benjamin is a JOY to watch anytime 🥰🥰. He's so adorable 😌
that was the highlight of the video! but also I love those tree's! Good job Aaron!!!! Love you guys!
That was the best part!!! Him and Daddy racing
Laura, don’t be silly! We could probably watch you sitting in a chair (especially in the Hartley 🤗) and enjoy it! It really is a pleasure to see everything you do and watch your space evolve in real time!
Only Laura and Aaron can make weeding look fun😂 “time me”😂😂😂
I like to weed when I need a break from work, etc. It's satisfying to see a section of my yard weed free. I use the Fiskars stand-up weeder when there are weeds with very long roots. I've pulled some weeds with roots over a foot long. There's no way I'd be able to pull that up by hand. It is easier when the soil is damp and weeds with deeper roots.
I love it!
Gardeners NEVER get tired of planting videos!! It’s especially nice to see you use so many different types and varieties of plants because so much of what you put in the ground is versatile for so many different zones. It gives us all something to covet and look for at our local garden centers!
We could never get sick of all the planting. Drone footage pleassseeeeeeee
Would love to see drone footage too.
Yes!!!!!
same thoughts here!
Drone footage... YES!
We won't get bored. We all signed on for the journey. I wouldn't want to see just a before/after shot of a project of this scale. Here's my take away for today's video: I have a hard time seeing your future vision as you describe it. That's not a bad thing. It just makes me realize how when I'm doing a project my helpers may not see my vision either and that's why I have to be careful of what I ask for. And finally, I'm a big picture type of person. Drone shots would be so helpful so I could orient my thinking. Love this journey!
Y'all are hilarious! Aaron saying "but you gotta clean it up, GO GO GO!!" I admire the way you cheer each other on😊
You two are So freaking cute. 🥰
Yes, love the banter between those two, hilarious!
You’ve invented a whole new format. Timed competitive weeding. Really funny!!
We love all the planting and updates Laura. Never doubt that! It's coming together so nicely and we love sharing the adventure with you! Did you ever think your family would be apart of someones morning coffee routine! Hugs to all!
Oh my.... never a dull moment watching y'alls videos. Never ever think that way again. Your successes in that beautiful Garden of Eden are heart-felt by not only your family..but all of your viewing family. How could we get bored of watching you, Aaron, Benjamin, Baby Grace( what I call her), and Cheddar???... We all learn so much and we don't feel stupid for asking questions. All we can say is Thank You Guys and hope you know that we mean it...
You’re so lovely. I’m sure we would love watching you just driving around talking the whole day long. It’s your kind heart and sweet nature that add to the joy of all that you create in the garden. Do what you love and we will watch and wish you well.
YES!!! She’s lovely!
💯% YESSS! This family brings me so much joy!
Yes they do bring so much joy.
We NEVER get bored watching you plant! Trees, plants, shrubs…it’s all good! It has been awesome to see the space take “shape” and to see your vision come to life.
Aaron is so funny, its nice to have you in the videos!
Laura: Oh I just heard a branch snap!
Aaron: nooo.. that was... something else?
When he said that it was something else, my mind went to, “OH NO! His back just broke!” Because mine would have!
@@laraemitchell9064 Lol!
I wish i could show you my plumbago bush, i found 2 of them 4 weeks ago at a lawn and garden center, they looked dead. I gave them lots of love and they're flourishing! I've never even knew they existed! Blue blooms! Laura, i think you'd be proud of me!
Good evening everyone from Lockdown day 200, Victoria, Australia .xx
It's the 4th wave of covid in srilanka. Our daily death count rises rapidly. And yet the government refuses to lockdown the country despite the requests from health sectors.🤕
Hi Donna, I'm here too, stuck in Melbourne, lockdown capital of the world.
Ugh!! I am so sorry. Here in Philadelphia, PA we are going back under mask mandate and now vaccination requirement.
I’m here tooooo!! Thank goodness for great u tube vids like Laura!
Praying for everyone, we must all hold on to what we have in our 4 square walls. The world is in turmoil. Every day is a blessing.
Not boring! Your channels are a mix of gardening edification, family fun times, and a lifestyle magazine! I personally love the variety. Oh and an example of what positivity can bring!
Laura, dont ever question your content. Clearly your people love watching what you do! Its always an education and so amazing to watch how the park and gardens are coming along. 😘
Isn't it amazing what "little by little" accomplishes. Your persistent daily endeavors to add to, or maintain something, in your garden, or yard, is paying you back in spades😉 with beauty that lifts the soul. In time, Laura, it will become your work of art. Thank you for inspiring and blessing others with your gifts in this area of expertise.
I'd be willing to watch an hour long video of you just pulling up giant weeds with that weeder. So satisfying to watch!
So many people, like me, that just love to see the progress and adventure of your sweet family and community. How you share more than just plants, you share every aspect. The food storage, cooking (meals, dips, drinks, ice cream, treats), flower arrangements, gifts, novelty items, you truly show that there is more than just "planting" to the spaces we design. The heat here in Utah has killed my back yard, but watching you I'm looking forward to the fresh possibilities. So much more than you can imagine, you both have kept me saine. Love love love seeing everything ❤ THANKS don't stop.
Good morning everyone! Laura we could never get bored watching the two of create this wonderful garden! I’d personally watch you do whatever you want for an hour straight! You two start my day and I can’t wait to see all “the things” your new garden brings! This is much fun to watch daily…Love you guys! 😊
Never ever ever get tired of your planting videos. Those cypress trees are gorgeous. And the best part of the video….Aaron and Benjamin racing down the drive. 😊
Watching your videos is one of the bright spots of my day!!! The interaction between you and Aaron and Benjamin, too, is so special and sweet!! And even the ordinary things you do like pulling weeds and planting flowers and trees becomes an event that is so fun to watch!! Just doing your everyday things is so much fun to watch! Boring?? Never!!!! Please just keep doing what you do and I'll happily watch!!! A million thank yous!!!
It is extremely enjoyable to watch you planting. It’s especially nice when Aaron comes along. It seems more like it is work for your family that you all enjoy. Benjamin looked so much older driving his tractor. It is a preview of the teenage boy “tooling” around the homestead in the future.
Aaron, I do believe Benjamin beat you in the race. Y’all are making every day so much more pleasant with planting, sharing the big and the small. Thank you SO much!🥰🌳🌱
Never boring. Love seeing it evolve.
I just rewatched the video where you guys first purchased the "new property" so I could remember what it looked like...and wow. Just. Wow. I love seeing every choice and its reason, every planting decision - all of it! Gives me hope that anything can get done...and we all need a little extra hope right now!
Dang Mel Bell.... did you realize your comment reads like a poem...or Ode to Laura's Garden? Beautifully said....
Love seeing this space develop so much! Laughed at the sass comment. 😂 Would you show us where the grass paths will be again in relation to where you’re planting? You have a strong eye for design and I’d love to hear you explain why you’re planting where you are. I assume you’re planting with seasons, texture and foliage color in mind…and lower plants in front, but would love to hear more about your thought process. Your channel brings me so much inspiration and happiness!!!🌿🦋
The key to that weeding tool, is that you must make sure the side where you step, (at the end of the pole) is pressed to the ground. If you push it in and the pole is at an angle, it will not grab the weed as well. We learned from experience. Be sure the block end of the weeder is pressed down to the ground and your pole is fairly straight! 😊
Thanks for the hint! Hubby just bought me one for my 60th birthday! 🤣 Well, he got me a purse that I love and use every day when we went to Red River and Taos NM over Independence Day weekend. It covers all the giftings for the next year!!!❤️😮❗
Anyway, I'm still excited to get this weed plucker. (My name for all weed getters) I've never had one that I won't have to bend over "much" and I am excited!!!
@@mariankay6482 I honestly wondered where this thing had been all my life! Hahaa! I mean, like Laura showed, it still doesn't quite grip some of them, but in the short time I've had it, I'd say that it has pulled more than 75% without me having to bend and pull them. I just drop the weeds in my popup bag and keep moving! Happy belated birthday!😊
@@Sun-Soul Thanks, birthday is in Oct. It's an early present. ❤️🙂
Happy gardening!!!😘
Good morning, Laura ☕️ Those Cypress Trees 🌲 are gorgeous! You and Aaron should be so proud of your progress! And, NO, we’re not bored with watching you plant! You are my inspiration for all I’ve done in my garden! You’ve taught me so much and I feel as though I continue to learn more with every video. I am excited to see your flower shed! Have a Blessed Day 😊🐈
The new property is beginning to look good after all your hard work. Here comes the Benjamin cavalry, so cute.
Too much planting, you ask? Noooooo! After being afraid to plant things for fear that I would kill them and just waste my $$, you guys have taught me just about everything I have needed to get my small yard from basic patio to planted oasis. You gave me the courage to plant shrubs and annuals, strawberries and blackberries, understand the value of and transplant some perennials out of my neighbor's yard that will undergo renovation, install drip where needed!, and just generally have an appreciation for the landscape. 🥰 Thank you!
Who could ever get sick of you guys planting so many beauties? I love everything you guys do, it's so inspiring. I wish you could do mini tour around the country and plant mini gardens in all the different zones.
I can imagine Laura and Aaron redecorating the house. “Aaron, can you move the couch 3 ft to the right. No, no, back one foot. Hmm. I think I like it better where it was. Don’t you sass me!” 😁
First off we will never be tired of watching you and your family planting, antiquing, designing, weeding, laughing! Thank you so much for it ALL! Second I loved Aaron’s comment of picking up the weeds!! You can keep as many weeds as you can carry! 😂
Third, are there any under ground utilities that you have to worry about as the tree roots develop and spread out? Or have you already planned it all out?
I'm so amazed with what you guys have achieved in such a short space of time. If you get a chance I would love to see an end of summer garden tour.
Bored? Never, ever will we get bored of planting videos!! You just don’t understand how much you have inspired me to plant during these times. Please keep planting, we need you…
Laura gave me knowledge and I am now armed with power tools. I use the same drill and auger that she uses for planting bulbs when I go after weeds and tough seedlings. Works like a charm! Those tap roots have finally met their match! Power tools baby!!!
I’ve seen other gardeners on YT using augurs since they first started. These two are great teachers.
I need a drill and an auger for bulb planting!
More planting videos please! I like all your plants and knowing why you plant them. Thank you.
I will never get bored of watching you planting. It is so satisfying to watch someone else plant and see the progress of the different type of plants that you would not be able to plant on your own property.
Never get bored watching your progress as the two of you together are quite entertaining,,,,lol And seeing Benjamin is too cute 🥰
Hello Laura and Aaron. It’s all looking awesome.
Just wondering after watching today’s video, how close are you to your original plan that you drew when you first purchased the extra land. Have you strayed away from that plan, have your ideas evolved as you’ve gone along or is it as you drew it?
Aarons water feature with rocks sounds good by the entrance.
Laura, we love watching the space evolve. Heck girl, you could be planting popsicle sticks and we'd love it!!! You plant joy in our souls.
Here at the perfect time ❤️
Seeing the dynamic in your family, the comfort, all of it is so sweet and a novelty for me. These videos put a smile on my face without fail. It's just refreshing to see your family being a family. ❤️ Such positivity! Wishing you all loads of happiness. 💖
I could watch you two doing anything from popping weeds to watching paint dry !! Your interactions just tickle me !!
You also inspire me
You inspire me to tackle bits of my yard as often as I can
The new space is really starting to fill in and looks amazing! I think keeping mulch inside of the cut flower garden will provide a nice contrast and be easier in the future with the fountain and benches in that middle area. You give us all such inspiration and are a true joy to watch! ☺️
Never bored watching you plant. The transformation is wonderful! Love listening to the two of you urge each other on. You give me so much inspiration! Keep doing what your doing! We love it!
Never bored sweetheart. Benjamin racing daddy; So, very cute .A good fly over with the drone would be so satisfying. Just to see how it's all coming together. Love you guys so much
NOPE, never get tired of you planting. I love what ever you do. Love seeing Benjamin on his tractor 🚜. Too cute 🥰
Has Laura given an update on her tomatoes and the staking system that she was trying out? So cool to watch your videos, Laura! So glad I found you!🤗
I hope you realize it’s not just your gardening we enjoy, you have become our calm mornings with our coffee. Your family has become our family and you incorporate so much more into your videos than just gardening. I think I follow you more now just for your optimism in life in general. The way I see you with your children and your immediate family is so heartwarming. And we all want that relationship with our own family. It makes me want to strive to be a better person snd steward of Gods creation.
This is probably the most fun, satisfying, and exciting video. Love to see Benjamin in his little tractor racing with dad. So satisfying to watch Laura pop those weeds out and I'm excited to see a rock/water feature in that area. ❤️
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these planting videos. They are my favorites. I injured my knee on Sunday so your videos give me a taste of gardening that I can't do at the moment. Thanks to you, Aaron, and Benjamin!!!
The rock feature would actually look really nice like an entry to your property. Maybe have an iron rod Garden Answer sign that lights up at night
Laura your new property when finished is going to be a sanctuary ! It is just so beautiful with every plant and tree you so expertly place. Your knowledge of gardening, and humor working with Aaron is so refreshing I love it!
I’m I the only one saying and waving good bye to Laura with a big smile on the face at the end of every single video 🤗🤗. It’s a wonderful feeling isn’t it. You bring us so much joy, thanks for sharing your garden, your passion and your family with us.
I really hope that you two do a drone video of this space one year after the first planting. The video you did where it was nothing but showing where things might go, and then a year later showing all the progress and what it looks like. I would REALLY love to see that. And I’m also SO looking forward to garden tours in this space too ❤️
I couldn't imagine getting tired of watching planting videos or any other videos you put out. "To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow" & I think we all need that right now but not just a tomorrow but a better tomorrow. Thank you for your continuous inspiration.
Weeding can be both the bain of every gardeners life but also the most addictive thing ever!!
Best video moment is Aaron and Benjamin racing the trucks, my little ones are all teens+! Now and I miss those fun moments cherish them 💗💗💗
I enjoyed the short riding tour you gave of the future grass path and cut flower garden, at the end of this video. It’s made me think maybe a long riding tour of your garden would be a nice way for you to film, and give us a different perspective.
Each day with each planting, the land is transforming. It's so wonderful to watch.
Benjamin is adorable!
Thanks for sharing.
Cutest thing ever is little Benjamin driving his tractor beside his daddy on the big tractor!! Such a confidence booster for a young boy and that breeds the fertile emotional stability necessary for all aspects of development of the human psyche.
Well done Aaron and Laura! This is half of why I watch you guys… you’re just awesome. Whatever your weaknesses are, as I know you have them, you’re both incredible together and it’s grand seeing two littles being raised in that kind of environment.
🤍💪🏻✊🏻💪🏻🤍
I personally enjoy watching you plant. Especially when you share your thoughts on why you planted what where. I’m currently redoing large sections of our landscape, and hearing your reasoning helps me think things through too.
I love watching absolutely everything you two do! (and all the stuff with your mom
Just keep doing what you are doing!! I just look forward every day to your videos, you inspire me so much and I'm learning a lot being a new gardener. Thank you so much❤
Be still my heart! Aaron and Benjamin racing side-by-side!! Overall good video and always love the planting but the highlight was Father and Son sharing!
I love seeing this space develop and fill in!
In regard to getting bored with planting videos: it's no longer the subject matter, it's you and your family as you've opened your lives to all of us. E.g., so charming watching Benjamin driving alongside his dad.
Get bored? Never. We love watching your property develop from nothing but dirt to a place of beauty and tranquility. You can keep as many weeds as you can carry! That cracked me up. 😂🤣😂😆😸
Your homeplace is amazing. Never boring. I have learned so much from you and Aaron. I can just see you guys at 70 yrs old riding your gater around a fully mature garden saying "oh remember when we did this or we did that". It's lovely.🍁🌹❤
That weeder is a hoot…I have one that I inherited from my father. He had it from back on our farm in Indiana from probably 1950. It is a bit simpler than yours but is very effective on dandelions in the lawn. I use it frequently.
In the crazy world that we are all living in at this time, watching Laura and Aaron develop their property is not only a treat, but it reminds us that there is still beauty, peace and simplicity in their part of the world! 🌍
Thanks, Laura, Aaron, Ben, Samantha Grace, Russell and Cheddar!
And let's not forget about Laura's mother! The mother we all wish we had!
you can post a day in the life doing nothing and I'll watch it, I love the energy you give and these planting videos are very interesting it's nice to see them, it feels like we are a part of the process and we are enjoying it
Laura, just so you know, I wait all day until after work and dinner just to sit down and watch you plant something and talk about flowers. It's my reward for making it through another tedious workday. So no, your videos are never boring. You're living the dream many of us have and it is so rewarding witnessing your excitement and sharing it with us. In a small way, I feel like I'm a part of it,
What a great team you and Aaron are! My husband and I also enjoy the entire process together - from planning, browsing the garden centres and planting. Don't get me wrong, I experience my share of "sass" too, but the fun and satisfaction of working together on our home far outweighs any spats. Team Laura and Aaron!
I always love watching your video especially when little cute boy is part of it. So good watching him learning about plants as a young age.
Laura I'm not good at seeing long term vision of a space being created... But it's really a Joy trying to view it from your perspective and experience it with you really appreciate the time with you in the morning.. It's really relaxing watching your channel first thing in the morning... I love your planting videos... I have learned sooo much from you.... Thank you 😊
Oh Laura, we watch you to see you plant, to see you create, and to enjoy your space with you. Never apologize for it. We absolutely adore you and your family.
This is a great docu-series so that a few years down the road you’ll see how each area grows.
I've had a similar weeder for years. It's great for dandelions. "Shooting" those annoying weeds off is SO satisfying!
I love the planting videos, especially on the new property! It’s really fun and interesting to see how the space is filling out and shaping up!
Work smarter not harder! At least you remembered the weeding tool! It looks like it works good! The trees are beautiful! Love the bark! Love Benjamin and his tractor! My grandson had the same one! He loved it! The orange smoothies are a beautiful color! The new property is looking so good!
I enjoy seeing and hearing your gratefulness while reflecting to your more humble moments 💜
A true gardener will never grow weary of planting anything. Rise up and plant on Laura. I love it, and from the looks of all the post we all love it.! It's the creativity of what you are doing, and showing and also teaching others that it will all be worth it whether your property is big, small, or a nice acreage. When I touch that soil it brings nothing but healing, peace and calm. "Keep Planting" 😎
Good morning everyone!!! Laura, we could watch you & Aaron plant all day & never get bored! First thing I do, is check how long your videos are & the longer the better!!! The added bonus is when we get to see your mom & the kiddos!!❤️❤️
In years to come we will be able to see mature plants and be in awe of the vision you had with each plant so carefully placed. My biggest challenge is keeping all the bloom times, height, and color combinations in mind when placing plants in my landscape. Your videos are very helpful in that. Thanks so much
You can keep as many weeds as you can carry ! Very funny, Aaron 🤣
I absolutely LOVE the more natural planting out here! Don't get me wrong, I love a pretty formal garden too, but this is going to be so restful and lovely.
Can we please get a fall tree tour? I would love to see how everything colors up!
Also, Forest Pansy Redbuds definitely do not hold their purple color all year. They start to green out in summer before turning their gold fall color.
A Garden Answer video is what I search for 1st thing. With everything else going on in the world, we need this type of therapy: whether it’s your planting a tree or a flower, whether it’s your harvesting of fruits or vegetables, whether it’s your shopping or canning with your mom, whether it’s your showing Benjamin how to plant in his garden, or whether it’s seeing Samantha’s sweet face-you are a joy to watch. So don’t ever think we get bored of what you do. You are garden’s perfect teacher and I’ve learned so much from you and your channel. Thank you and Aaron so much for making my garden so beautiful. Because of you, I’ve earned “Yard of the Month” twice. Again, thank you and your property is going to be spectacular. A water feature will definitely set everything off.
With the grass coming up it looks so much bigger ! I can’t wait to see how it changes over time, I would love seeing aerial before and after as you go along. Keep that sassafras coming Aaron!😂
We are beginning to see the space fill up! I can actually find my way as if I’m on the gator too. All the trees lined up there shouting, “take me! Plant me!” We don’t get bored watching! Really!
Omg no I’d never get bored of you guys planting , it gives me the insensitive to take care of my garden. I Really love how you guys have placed everything in the new area it’s really starting to look good , I can’t wait until I see more !
Love, love, love all ALL the planting videos! Those trees are GORGEOUS! You both made planting them look so easy! Love Benjamin and his John Deere! My grandson has one and adores it! Better be looking for one for Samantha Grace, won’t be long before your family will be out there all together working on projects!
I was thinking the same . When you had the jazzy weeding tool, you still went ahead and hand pulled them in the last video . 😅. Better late than never
I think most of us are in awe watching as your space develops and grows. Sometimes just a couple plants at a time is perfect so as the space fills up and flourishes we get as excited as you do. We don't all have the space that you do, so we can pretend we do as we watch you tweaking and changing your space. I've learned much watching you. Thank you.
