Aaron mentioned a blind spot when using the Bobcat to pick up stuff, have him angle a camera on it with a monitor in the cab. We are farmers and have done that with some of our equipment.
I just came in from moving overgrown hosta plants to an area that has become shady over the years. I’m 78 and still trying to do the digging in this rootbound, clay soil. I resorted to prayer when the shovel nearly broke. The idea to lift the whole clump and then split it with a saw yielded success, and I am still here to tell the story. Praise the Lord! Now I am enjoying the ease your tools afford you two in transplanting those huge trees.
Laura, this was such a joy to watch the tree planting process this morning… It made me happy to see how happy Aaron was with his new toy! And to see Samantha Grace having fun with her project on the Gator 💕 do you have any plans to take us along with you and Aaron when y’all go pick out more trees? I'm working my first garden this year and Laura's approach of, "If you don't like it or it doesn't work, just move it!" has given me a ton of gardening confidence. I love that they don't wrestle with every decision, just get it done!
I pulled out a huge rose of Sharon tree from in front of our kitchen window. It was beautiful but previous owners obviously didn’t think about its size when placing it there. I was going to do it last season and put it off. This year I thought the same thing…Laura says if you don’t love it, get rid of it. I really tried to save it to plant elsewhere but couldn’t get a good rootball without breaking my back. I felt so bad for killing it but oh my goodness the space looks so much better. And now I can plant something I love there. 😃
I just love the big smile on Aaron‘s face when he talks about all the planting he gets to do today. He reminds me of a kid on Christmas morning oh how sweet he is.
He is very sweet. He has picked a lane, the tree lane, and has learned so so much.
I'm 60 years old. I've raised two girls of my own, and I'm not one to drool over children. Samantha actually made me squeal with her dandelion cuteness. I just cannot with how adorable she is.

Whenever I see little ones with dandelions, or picking any wild flower like that, it's brings me back to fond memories on my grandma, placing little flowers behind my ears, tucked into my hair. Samantha is indeed a cutie.

I did not want the video to end. Love watching the planning, actual planting, machinery, sweet sweet children and all the things. Aaron is in his element. Samantha is your little girly girl, that doesn't care in the least to get her hands dirty. I had wondered where Benjamin was and he finally showed up. I can see him one day soon driving the tractor. Beautiful day to make a beautiful property.

You could smatter those sayings around your web site. 🙂😆There is nothing like having the right tool for the job. I love Aaron's face of pure joy! Samantha reminds me of myself as a little girl. I would don my best dress and run outside to help my dad on the tractor or in the garden. My mother would be so aggravated with us. 😂🥰I love your positive parenting. Benjamin and Samantha landed two great parents.

30 years ago a planted 48 forsythia bushes, I have a six foot wall of yellow every spring. It makes me so happy
The people behind me planted a row of evergreens about 30 years ago. They're now 50 feet tall or more and competely screen out our properties. They can't see me, and vice-versa. I am grateful every day! I've added about 15 trees myself. Hope someday someone thanks me, too.

I can really see the future of this land. So great to see little "Vanna" Samantha Grace and her flowers! So much in this one, Aaron and Paul using the new Bobcat. Aaron was like a little kid, don't blame him made it a lot easier. Also, even Russell got in the show. He is going to have to get used to the new land, I wonder how long it will take Douglas or Cheddar to discover it. The kids really seem to like the wide open space to play in. Y'all have provided such a great example for land development by being patient, and methodical and allowing your vision to evolve so that you aren't "stuck" with something that was well-intentioned but not beneficial.
My late husband used to tease me about growing plants on pallets bc I wanted them moved so often! He would have loved Aaron’s equipment!
My husband and I love watching all of your videos. It's our evening ritual. When planting your trees, we hear you reading the tag for the size and then basing your planting on this. We know from experience and especially the information we've received from Iseli, the size they list is a 10-15 year average size. Nothing stops growing. If it did, they would be dead. We just don't want to see you having to rip things out, years down the road. I hope you find this useful and encourage you to talk to Iseli about the sizing they state on their tags and website.
Samantha is living her best life. I’m living vicariously through her right now lol I have MS so I don’t go outside much. I am so happy for your guys progress. It’s been a pleasure watching you grow.

That Bobcat was a great purchase. Its going to pay for itself in knees, backs, and hands. The three spots arthritis likes to live. Its a game changer for Aaron and Paul, as well as Laura and Bethany. Its going to free up so much time to do other projects.

Aaron was definitely in his element. The trees look amazing. Wow. That was the first time I seen that close to the neighbors on that back part of the property. You 2 are soooo kind to your neighbors. I see you getting Samanta used to spiders and creepy crawlies. You are a wise Mom. You might want to let Aaron in on your plan, he let Samantha see how he doesn't like spiders. This reminds me of a plan that the owner had at the daycare I worked at. She let us all know how much we liked beets before we served it to the kids, so they would keep an open mind about trying them. It worked well too, most of the kids tried them and liked them.

Have you thought of adding a sand cherry, they are gorgeous, spring flowering with burgundy leaves, vibrant fall color (reds), fragrant. The hill where you plan to place rock or mulch... that would be a great area for nut trees with bulbs underneath ... rather than give the bulbs away every year you could create yet another masterpiece with a lane of bulbs winding in between the nut trees. The extensive bulbs would make incredible wedding bouquets! ❤ I'm so happy for all your blessings. Miss Samantha is simply JOY! Thank you for sharing with us.

Nice of Aaron to share the fun with Paul. They make a good team. It all looks so good . Here in the country in Iowa we would have to put a fence around each tree to keep the deer from rubbing the bark in the fall.

I thought I was going to kill over my chair what a cutie and the two different color shoes she’s a fashionista the trees are magnificent. They are so beautiful and they’re gonna make it not just a border they’re gonna make just a beautiful small force that area, absolutely love it thank you for taking us along in your journey thoroughly enjoying it!
I find it hilarious that Samantha Grace loves wearing different shoes! My daughter always wore different socks, from a very young age, and still does to this day (and she's 40!).

Ok, if Aaron starts a tree channe-I'm there! We planted so many trees high in our clay last year and they are all doing great. The low trees from 2 years ago are not. We replaced the low ones last weekend and they are loving life. Garden Answer with ALL the Answers🤍🌲🤍
