Great idea. Especially for those with poor neck mobility (something i will need one day for sure).

I’m usually anti technology on bikes but this worked well, and it can’t leave you stranded. Win/Win!

I’m the same, been fine without this tech, shoulder checking makes for a better road user.

Is it normal pressure on gauge? 3.5 Bar? Or i missed something? I got same pressure gauge, but front tyre is 2.4/5 and rear one 3.0/3

Interesting to see how it will go with all the road grime and crap on a wet ride…

Being able to tell a car you just passed from one passing you is interesting, but why? Other than less annoying beeps, how is that needed? I already know if I am passing people or not. The light coming on when I am does not give me new information, but it doesn't confuse anyone by doing it either. So by not coming on, nothing changes. It seems to be a feature for the sake of having a feature.

Most blind spot monitors (that I’ve experienced anyway) will activate when a vehicle moves into the blind spot, doesn’t matter if you passed them or they are coming up behind you.
This mean one only works when they are approaching you.
I agree, if I’ve ridden past someone I know where they are, but there’s plenty of situations where someone eg: will change lanes into a blind spot behind you.
Rather than it going off all time every time someone is in your blind spot this on only works when a vehicle approaches from behind.
I thought it was a clever distinction.

Charles Darwin is shaking his head. Coddle the people, let the electronics do your job. Sorry Steve I respect you and appreciate your videos but stuff like this isn't helping people to be more vigilant, it's doing the opposite. Many years down the road we'll see young guys stopped on the side of the road because their third eye stopped working and they don't know what to do. Ahh probably not maybe I'm getting to be a cranky old fart?

I agree, I see too many lazy drivers and shoulder checking makes for a better rider / driver. Having said that there are probably some riders this tech will help. I used to think CanAm Spiders were a joke until I saw a war vet with one leg riding one, it gave him access to the open roads so I changed my attitude.

@@BigBikeAdventures Yeah you're right. My father couldn't check his blind spot anymore as he got older so it makes sense to have some tech for that. I just don't like the way some stuff is going, bikes with all the electronics are already way more expensive than they used to be, and I get it. Where does it end? Will an Africa Twin end up costing 60K? I just hope people still get the joys of riding you know, being in your own head, man/woman and machine. Cheers mate.

@@CRFLAus 100%. Over use of Tech in a bike is not the right direction. IMHO.

I always do shoulder checks and mirror checks before turning. But even then Ive had unexpected close calls.
Sometimes cars or other bikes are just moving so fast they "appear" before I can react normally.
No accidents so far, but I count true close calls where I didnt react as accidents . XD

This is just a lazy device. You have mirrors on your bike and you have a neck you can turn to the sides hehe.
    Waste of money really :-)
