We've checked it from our side but no such problem was found. Here's the full command that We've used in the Video: -i "path of the video" -i "path of the srt file" -c copy -c:s srt -metadata:s:s:0 language=eng -disposition:s:s:0 default "path of the output file with an extension" If you want your output in mp4 format then after -c:s type mov_text and keep the extension of your output file in mp4. You can open the SRT file using WPS office or any other application. However what's the Android version of your device? And what is the application that you're using to play the subtitled video? Have you turned on the Subtitles track option in the application?

For that you have to convert the srt file to ass file. I can patch a sub to a file using ffmpeg!

The problem can be resolved by hardcoding subtitles in the video. So you have to hardcode subtitles using ffmpeg.

We've checked it from our side but no such problem was found. Here's the full command that We've used in the Video: -i "path of the video" -i "path of the srt file" -c copy -c:s srt -metadata:s:s:0 language=eng -disposition:s:s:0 default "path of the output file with an extension"
If you want your output in mp4 format then after -c:s type mov_text and keep the extension of your output file in mp4. One more thing, if your subtitle language is not in English then instead of writing language=eng, write the three digit codec for your language. Hope it helps. Thank You.
do ffmpeg cli works on unrooted android device? i tried to used both the command line you shared to burn subtitle to a movie..both for the mp4 and mkv, but sad to say the output still have no subtitle..

there's no error as i run the command/code..what's to check with the srt file? sorry, i have no idea its my first time to use this app..i downloaded 2 srt file for that movie from 2 different site..but nothing works.. :(
You can open the SRT file using WPS office or any other application. However what's the Android version of your device? And what is the application that you're using to play the subtitled video? Have you turned on the Subtitles track option in the application?
im using an android 7..and just using the default video player in my mobile..thank you, ill try to download new media player and try it again.. :)
@@BisanksUltimateGuide i downloaded a new video player from playstore..i played the movie and enabled the subtitle option, locate it manually and it runs no problem..i tried again the command at ffmpeg and played the output video, still the subtitle did not hardcode..
anyways here is the command line i input at ffmpeg:

For that you have to convert the srt file to ass file. Here is the command to do that: ffmpeg -i input.srt output.ass
Now follow these steps to change the size of the subtitles: drive.google.com/drive/folders/11SgYFtxY1-I8izfGb7kxe10NGDyUJiFC
Now you can follow the same method shown in this video to add subtitles. Just replace "srt" with "ass" in the command.

Download/ the vidio -i "/storage/emulated/0/Download/ the srt text -c copy -c:s srt -metadata:s:s:0 language=arb -disposition:s:s:0 default /storage/emulated/0/Download/output.mkv
Replace language=arb with language=ara and see whether it makes any difference or not.

Just search for the srt file of the Drama Videos on Google. For example if the name of a video is ABC; search for ABC srt file download. And download the srt file. Then follow the steps that We've shown in the Video.
