- In this tutorial, I show you how to install a Command hook on the wall. These Command Brand hooks are amazing because they literally stick right onto the wall; the installation doesn't require any drilling or screws, and doesn't require you to make any holes in the wall! I outline the entire process from start to finish.

Yeah package instructions - nah!
OMG thank you !… my daughter cannot understand why I find it so complicated !… She uses them all the time I just don’t understand how not to have that tab sticking out above my pictures 🤔
The hooks are the easy ones .. why doesn’t someone show us how to best hang a picture !? Every one so far has been how to hang the hook … how can I remove the strips when I want to take the picture down unless I have the tabs sticking out from the edge of the frame ? … obviously don’t want to see the tab
LOL, thank you! I was a little shy to ask someone how to use these, and you explained it perfectly!
!. I cant believe that I looked this up
2. I cant believe I looked this up and learned the RIGHT way to do this.
3. I cant believe I'm adulting .
Cosmos Princess this isn’t adulting
Me to but I was doing it wrong 😅
Excellent directions for someone with ADHD because what was most helpful was the visual part of it especially even though you didn't say it in words I was able to see that I had placed the back on the wrong spot of sticky side I needed to leave the tab part just underneath it at the bottom and then after I stick it on the wall and put the hook on top of it it'll actually cover that tab up whereas The way I was doing it was having it placed on the sticker way too high if that makes any sense and therefore it would have never lined up as nicely as yours did and should and I learned so by watching you do things for me visually step-by-step kind of a hands on person definitely not a reader so read in directions Doesn't work for me the video again was excellent for me as an adult with ADHD nice work! Thanks again!
sound like saul from better call saul
Same
but he sounds like the dude from alpha m.
look up a video from alpha M and play this guy video the voice is same :O
LMAOOOO
I was thinking more like Baxter from Breaking Bad.
Omg yes he does
I love Saul
Sad I had to watch this too
Still messed it up
Your instructions were exactly what I needed. I’d like to add that all surfaces receiving ‘sticky’ should first be wiped clean with rubbing alcohol.
I followed the instruction back of the box but fell down 2 times wasting the strip but after watching ur video I was successful in installing the hock which is study in holding items

Great video this 78 year old grabbed the concept from the package but just to make sure I watched the video and really appreciate the help.
I was on the struggle bus toooooo long trying to figure this out 😂. Thanks for the video. Very helpful
You would think that would be more simple than it was. I was having a very difficult time with the instructions so I looked up your video. Outstanding job man. Simple to the point and it’s all good. Thank you.
*you really made the 2x playback speed button looks so attractive 👀*
1.25 makes it sound normal
Hi you do explain very clearly but it’s also important that you mention the surface should be cleaned prior with something like rubbing alcohol or methylated spirits, not other types of cleaners which might leave a slippery residue, plus wait for the cleaning substance to dry thoroughly before placing on the back of the hook.
Uh-oh somebody did't clean their area with alcohol first! OOOoooo!
Had to look it up as the instructions to the shower piece to hold the shampoo bottles was misplaced!!! Thank goodness! It saved me a trip to the store. 😂
Cool dude! Very helpful - thanks!
couldn't make a mistake after your explanation. thanks!
Thank you, clear concise and direct! 👏🏻👍🏻
Thank you, found it very helpful and far clearer than on the instructions
Very informative and helpful, especially how you said not to put anything on it because I wouldve put something on it right away😂 thank you!
Thank you!! That was so easy to understand. I am assembly challenged, LOL, but you made it so easy.
Thank you! I wish I would have watched this before I wasted two strips. The instructions on the box were confusing.
Thank you this was very helpful! In the instructions they didn’t say to pull it out so thank you
I just pruchased one of these and let me tell you it worked really well and thanks so much for the instructional video....🥰
This guy is getting me through college👍
Do you have to use rubbing alcohol like the instructions say??
Excellent! I was going to use its it on my basement wall. It's cinderblock too. Now I know it will stick.
Thank you it help me a lot

This is the best video on youtube. Tysm!
The actual 3m RUclips page has the guy showing to have the tab up, so you actually see it. Your way of doing it makes more sense and you don’t see the tab sticking out, thank you so almost installed it wrong
Thank you you made it so easy 👍
Thank you so much.....so well explained
Thank you so much, helped me twice!
I’m installing some hooks for backpacks and I had no idea I was about to meet my old driver instructor! I thought I was done with you!

Well done sir!! Helpful and informative! Just right!
Thank you man, the instructions really looked confusing
Short and sweet ! Thanks for the explanation!
Wonderful explanatiojn, concise and well done!
Thanks! This video was extremely helpful.
Helpful because I was reusing my hooks like this, bought some new adhesive strips, but didn’t remember how they went together 😜
Thank you sir for this video it helps me to understand I never new how to install it but kept thinking for more then year.😅
But when u want to remove it doesn't sticky part stay on the wall ?how do u remove that ?
I think u need new sticky thing to place it on another space.
Thank you, short and straight to the point.
Thanks bro your video is very helpful. 👌
Great video.
I would warn anyone - these things work but small - but sure, percentage fail over time.
I would not hang anything that if the hook fails and the hung object hits the ground - is irreplaceable, has high value, great sentimental value, etc.
Yes, I had one to fail after a year or two although I followed the directions. Don't hang anything irreplaceable on them. They are very handy for most things, though.
You've helped alot of people
Thank you!! This was so helpful
Awesome video dude easy to understand I was doing it wrong before
Thank you. - A widow in need -👍
Thanks so much… didn’t want to make a mistake , aren’t you supposed to wash wall with alcohol, first and let that dry and then do what you did ?
Lmao 🤣 I can't believe this was in my suggestions when search how to make diy command not how to install lmfao 😭
THANK YOU SO MUCH! This is priceless!
That was very helpful thanks!
Thank you. Well explained.
Hey thanks man. It was very well explained 😊
Thanks for this. So is the point of the non-adhesive tab hanging down for when you want to remove the hook from the wall?
Awesome vid u have saved my life ❤️
This was Very helpful, Thank You. I'd like to add that you really don't have to take the back plate off of the back of the hook. This extra step might make this simple task more difficult for a person who has no idea how to use them. I am not trying to be rude. I am Just saying this to let others know that this step is not a "must do step" but was most likely done for a better view of what was being explained. When you shorten the steps others understand things better.Especially for those who have trouble reading, listening 👂🏻 or simply following directions. I, however, found it easy to follow along with. But if I had a learning disability or If American English wasn't my first language then it might be a little more difficult.
MUST DOOOO
if u already knew this then why are you here?
Thanks for the demo man 👍🏻
Thank God. I looked this up.
very simple and useful!hello from Russia :))
Great video , thanks made it real easy for me 😊
Thanks SO much, this was such a huge help!
AGREED
My hook has no lil window in it , just a raised line about a fourth of an inch high…so I have to mount the whole thing onto the wall , then then pull up to to release hook off , then press down on the wall sticky part to adhere it to the wall, pressing like 30 seconds…m then slide hook over that wall - placed sticky tab… and then wait an hour or so…just get busy doing stuff around the house and the time flys by ! Then hang up your painting on the hook, links like painting will be one inch or so lower than might want … but hey.. it is on the darn wall ! I had washed the wall with pure alcohol and let it dry overnight …was so worn out shopping on streets of Cairo in some heat , but recovered enough to perhaps do my best shot at finishing hanging my 7 paintings, here in his Moms old apartment and these walls are pure cement , then painted over..no walls like in America, these walls are very smooth , that is a good thing…I am 72 and will wait for husband to help me hang up last one up higher than I can reach.. no need for a broken leg or back trying that on my own , out here Egypt has no health insurance for us !!!!!!! Great fun is your how - to video ! Very valuable , God bless you , son ! We are from Texas , both Muslim and visiting relatives and seeing some sights, and as much as an old couple can do , he is more fit than me he was a champion body builder weight lifter here in Egypt when he was in College he was approached to be in the Olympics , he said no , he wanted to finish his college first ! He is 76 and still has abs !!!! He uses 5 lbs dumbbells and does many things with those… he is on special, nutrient diet as he became a nutritionist in trying to solve my diabetes…our dr. Told him to get his formal degree as he knows stuff even the dr. Doesn’t sent understand ! Usually people resort to a drill to hang up anything out here… leaving huge hole and broken parts of the wall…the drills are old fashioned and very heavy …not light weight like in America…So May God bless my attempt and success in hanging my art work that is professional as I am a professional painter…see me at Amina Carrol Kishk Artist on face book….I am from Colorado born and raised Christian by my family and never ever thought I would ever travel,or see the pyramids … but never say never, cuz here I am …. We lived here for 17 years to get our kids into colleges we could afford ! it worked! they are notified by America called educated abroad …..looks so cool,on a resume ! people are impressed ! You get hired ! But the homesickness was the price to do all that…we left Egypt as the revolutions started and the economy crunch ruined out real estate business we made by scratch by whole family helping…sad, but we got back home to America where all our children were born…I met him when trying to get a job…in California …pray for the husband you want and need , God will absolutely give you what you prayed to especially of you believe ! THE END !
You never had trouble meeting the word count on your papers.
Thank you for this, I needed it! :)
Thank you for this!
i love this guy
Was very helpful..thank you
so helpful thankyou!
Thanks! super helpful
Perfect thank you
Are there guidelines for different sizes when hanging pictures? Is there a size/weight of picture that is just too big?
When it takes 3 minutes and 51 seconds to explain something that should take 30 seconds to explain,
Thanks buddy
Great thank you so much.
Perfect, I am to lazy to read instructions. I love tutorial videos for almost everything. Thank you so much. Just make sure to clean the wall with alcohol
Thank you! who would have thought!
what about the hooks that don’t have a window in the middle? I can’t get them to slide back down onto the holder once the holder is attached to the wall.
This guy is everywhere
What do I do if the hook sticking side has cracks in it and the protective paper fell of while touching it? 𝙸t’s useable?
I'm about to clean up the glass from my picture that fell off the wall. These have worked so far for two smaller, lighter pictures (1-2 lbs) but I won't be using them for anything heavier. In fact, I've thrown out the rest of my hooks. I followed the instructions except for washing the wall at the contact point with alcohol but the wall was clean and dry.
i APPRECIATE THE HELP.!
Very clear explanation, helpful. thanks
Thank you so much for showing me how to do this...to me, the directions were NOT clear! LOL Judie
I've used Command Hooks, but they don't last. Things I hang up come crashing down sooner or later. I think that the adhesive on them, if not dried out (which it tends to be, on a number of the strips), is pathetically inadequate. I am, however, open to suggestions on what to do.
Thank you, a good video straight to the point
Really good! Is this available everywhere??
Great video
Wow great.
thanks man!
Thank you for your explanation, it was really helpfull for me.
Thank you.
Super helpful
great video thank you
thx you helped heaps
All i can say thanks a lot
very neat and simple
Boy, I'm just not getting the "separate the two pieces" procedure. Mine seem so stuck, nothing slides. Are you pushing in on the other side?
Bless you!
Very helpful
Would you use command strips to hang a 11 pound 33x28 mirror? I will be doing it by myself so looking for something easy? The mirror has D rings on the back bur rather remove them and just use the strips. Would that be wrong to do?
@Michael Hackney I was told to not to use them for a mirror. Asked about the 3M Claws for 45lbs and was told they would work. Haven’t had time to hang the mirror, kind of hesitate because I’m by myself.
Great job! Thank you for sharing.
