    James cooking the fish with 20 minutes left just so he could say that he contributed a lot to the dish reminded me so much of Jamie making the meringue first just so he could win the meringue badge 😂😂

    In relay challenges, you should move the people that finished to a room with a video feed so they can see the next person derail their idea and record the reaction.

      @@khristianidica1463 in some ways, but by that time they already know how the dish came out. I figured they would be a bit more attached to their concept while it was being changed in front of them.
      Also Ben made the comment that by going first he gets to relax for 40 minutes. I figured this would give him something to do during that time.

There have been a number of times where it is clear that what they are making is a boring everyday dish and you can almost see Barry's wheel turning "can't have that, this is a fun YT video, we have tutorial videos, this is not one of those"

    It's hilarious to me that this is arguably one of their most successful and cohesive Pass-It-Ons, but they rated themselves so much lower than usual and questioned themselves the whole way through! 😂

    I love pass it on, it's so fun and chaotic. This was such a good idea because, like Janice said, whats nostalgic to one person is not always nostalgic for another. I love how they knew that the animal biscuits were for snacking so they just opened and started snacking on them.

      @@SortedFood and you know it was nostalgic for everyone because you all knew what you were doing and what the plan was. I think this is the best pass it on for team work without writing anything and it is 100% a pass in my books. I don't want to say it was the animal biscuits but they weren't there before.

      @@SortedFood That took away a lot of the suspense for me. Janice says something that's nostalgic to one person is not necessarily nostalgic to another, and then the dish turns out to be fish and chips, which strikes a chord with everyone. No wonder you all gave it a pass.

      It's also astonishing how much Ben got done in his ten minutes compare to everyone else. Sure, he didn't have to go through the "have to figure out what the f***'s going on phase" (which sometimes eat up more than five minutes for the normals), but he essentially got every element that was in the final dish all set up in just his time alone. (Got the fish prep all set up except paneing/frying, got the tartar sauce set up, got the syrup started for the ketchup, and placed the peas there)

    This is one of my favourites, they had a good base of fish and chips, then no one went mental and decided to make a cloud egg or turn it into a dessert or blowtorch a pepper etc, everyone just added their own part and improved the end meal. Spot on guys

      James might not have crushed it during his 10 minutes this go around, but he definitely crushed it in the roasting department. As savage as his "I'm going to bring in Jamie, not necessarily 'cause he's going to do a great job..." quip was, I think the most brutal was when Janice was mocking Ben's age at the beginning. James was in the background, nodding in agreement with a casual, unsurprised, "Yeah, that's accurate and fair" expression on his face. 😆

      You get the feeling that b/c 4 of them went to primary school together, and were allowed to munch on nostalgic snacks, whilst making a nostalgic meal, that they all just settled straight back into their old school project group and subconsciously tried to make it work. James (who didn’t go to school with the others) was definitely the most sassy in this one... :)

    I like it when Ben goes first. I feel like I rarely see it, and you get a real insight to the leader's head in these, because they start from scratch. Also, when Ben does go during the later end of pass it on, he is very, very good at saving any train wrecks if they happen, so Ben going first can lead to chaos if they do have a train wreck on their hands.

    I think the mission was accomplished it was safe but the theme was nostalgia and I think fish fingers is nostalgic and the twist of flavors was inventive. Love Jamie's face when he realized the pot noodles had no real curry left in it 🤣

    The last leftovers relay seemed more like a fridge staples relay. I would love to see a true leftovers relay that utilized meals and leftovers from meals made previously in the week. I hope that makes sense. I love to see the creativity people use to transform leftovers that they have from throughout the week and I think it would be really cool to see that in a relay.

    A couple of ideas for future pass it on: 1.unexpected twist( use ingredients and equipment in the most unusual way possible). 2. Camping( you can only use basic camping equipment to make a 2 course meal) 3. Left Behind(use ingredients that are really hard to use like durian or canned fish to make an amazing dish) Great video as always guys

    I feel like this pass it on was almost relaxing by comparison to others. With the nostalgia theme that was quite fun. Definitely sounds like you ended up with a simple tasty dish

    I miiiiiight have a recommendation for a Pass It On Theme.
    Camping.
    With dried, tinned, and long storage foods as the primary ingredients, and the individual memories of camping of the Chefs and Normals, I think it could prove an interesting challenge.
