- One of the best voice over artists has to be Sterling Holloway. His voice was constantly being used in animation work, during the 1950's, 1960s & 1970's.
This is an animated ad for Peter Pan peanut butter.

Cricket himself - took over. Some people thought Sterling Holloway voiced Jiminy,
and this is probably why. Eventually, though, Disney stopped animating TV
commercials. (I would guess if this ad was to be made again, Jim Cummings would
step in for Holloway.)

I wished SH would show the peanut butter in person and he would react to Tinker Bell
Derby Foods, the makers of Peter Pan, was one of the original sponsors of "DISNEYLAND"...and this commercial was originally seen in 1956.
Sterling Holloway also was narrated Mickey and The Beanstalk (TV Version) in 1955 and 1985
Sterling Holloway is best remembered of course as the voice of Winnie The Pooh.

This commercial was made around the same time the 1953 Peter Pan movie was released. And this is how Disney promoted it.

I have to say, I never would’ve thought that SH was a part of Peter Pan.
I think Sterling Holloway would have been good as Randolph Duke in Trading Places. Randolph Duke was played by Ralph Bellamy and his younger brother Mortimer Duke was played by Don Ameche. I also consider Sterling Holloway another actor for Randolph Duke.

And they actually tried to sell you the features/advantages/benefits instead of manipulating your triggers and emotions.

And it was an anachronism. Because Disney's TinkerBell existed until 1953. And the story of the movie supoused to be in 1947.

I had Peter Pan Peanut Butter once
I didn't know peanut butter jars had that thing you peel off when you first opened it back in the 50s. I thought they started doing that in the 80s when somebody was poisoning Tylonel bottles.
This really is the best peanut butter though.

Actually the product was named Peter Pan Peanut Butter almost 50 years before this commercial was ever produced.
@@jkrolak7978 Yes. do you know why? Also, I love Peter Pan Peanut Butter, especially honey roast! They say vegans aren't supposed to have honey, but I'm not sorry, I am always going to eat honey.

Pond Packing Company stole the name to cash in on the Broadway play and book fame of the character counting on distance (An Atlantic Ocean's worth of distance) to get away with it.
