I think this was around the point Disney outsourced the animation for these commercials to a company named FilmFair. Before they did stop motion shows for the UK, they had a unit in Studio City devoted to making commercials. Commercials from this unit include big named products like Starkist, Rice Krispies, Frosted Flakes, and Bank of America, and less-as-known products like Eastern Airlines and Mr. Bubble.
