I understand Heather. But this happens all the time. Irresponsible parents can be devastating to the family and I guess before the kids suffer the great-grandmother would rather take the children and on protect them as best as she could.

She said she had to rescue them. Toxicity somewhere... . Then, no one wants to split up siblings. Problem probably was: Who in the family could take them all? Zero. And probably, because it's kinship care, she's not getting any (or much?) help from Child Protective Services' budget. Social Security only stretches so far.... They're all very lucky to have each other.😅

@@cpmffeilberg4970 Something that I do, that doesn't take much money, is pick up a package of thank you cards & blow pops from the local dollar store, then, as I go about life, I periodically fill them out for various customer service associates (at the grocery store, pharmacy, library & so forth). ...It's very inexpensive but a great way to make someone else's day! Another thing I do (that's completely free) is make a point of greeting & complimenting strangers for anything nice I might notice about them---you never know when someone else is in need of a kind or uplifting word, & you could be the one who gives it. You can trust God to give you the courage to speak up: cuz He loves to spread love!

I don't know why this was recommended to me but I think I needed it. I cried so much watching this. It was so touching to see so many members of the community work together to help this well deserved family. I pray they are doing good better now. God bless them ❤️

Can you imagine the stress this poor woman is under at that age? Every day she must ask God to keep her alive one more day so that those children don't have to go to foster care if she dies. What a sad situation, no mother OR grandmother to help. Not to mention any men!

I know that this was 3 years ago and I'm just now seeing this but it touched my heart I started tearing up! Ms.Ella is a true woman of God and faith and she rescued her great grandchildren and I know that they're going to look after her. They hooked that whole house up and I'm so happy that the United Nissan group took care of her rent for a year. I was hoping that they would so she can focus on the other bills and the needs of the children and God bless her dear friend Alice, bless both their hearts!😍😍😍

My grandparents adopted my brother and I when I was 7. They saved us, I have no doubt of that. They recused is from going into foster care. They put me and my brother first and made sure we knew we were loved. This is a story so close to my own. I’ll never get to tell my grandparents just how much they mean to me bc there are no words that can even describe my love and heartfelt thanks. This woman is so wonderful. She should be enjoying the company of her family without being a babysitter, but she gives her all for her babies. That right there is a woman with a heart of gold, she is worth more than any priceless jewel. I do agree with not shoving religion down one's throat, however, I do feel that religion like christianity for kids growing up helps to surround them with people who provide good morals. However, as kids get older, the message tends to darken, not in all churches, but some, to where it changes from do unto one another as you would have unto yourself into do unto one another as you would have unto yourself except for all the people we believe should go to hell.

The children looked so healthy - Miss Ella CAN cook!!! And she teaches them to value family over material things. I liked that she stopped to pray with the Fox team to express her thanks to God for them. She is a hero keeping those kids together and out of foster care.

I dread to think what kind of situation those children were in for their great grandmother to have to rescue them and take them in to raise them. I don’t know how many years she’s had them living with her but they sure looked happy, healthy, clean and well dressed. I'm a 32 year man this had me greeting! I was in foster care for the first 7 years of my life because of abuse and poverty. I've turned it around and dedicated myself to the care of the vulnerable as a learning disabilities nurse. I just wish more people out there were kinder and supportive of those in need. This woman should have been afforded the luxury of enjoying her golden years after already giving enough. I may be in Scotland but I felt this from the other side of the world. Bless.

I see you live in Scotland, did you move there? Or were you a Scottish fosterkid. I would anyway really reálly like to talk to you, exchange stories, i dont know any ex-foster or streetkids that didn't end up right back where they started. You studied, turned it all around, that's ashtonishing man!

Many of us are traveling this same path, raising grandchildren, caring for severely ill children, but as Almighty God assures us of His continuous presence, we will survive. It took three attempts to view this. I kept tearing up and couldn't see anything. To say this was heartwarming is an understatement. It restored my faith in humanity which is sorely lacking these days. Blessings to Miss Alice and all those involved in helping her!
