Reason why to change transmision fluid is because these gearboxes are very sensitive and faulty.

Nice man. Peugeot says that this oil does not need to be changed, but we both know that like everything, nothing lasts forever, filings from scratch, micro filings that prematurely wear out the gears. They prefer when it is a problem to replace the box. .I change every 100,000km at most or 5 years.

Peugeot 208 1.6 HDi gearbox is very sensitive.
So that's why I recommend oil change.
Especially if it's so easy and two litres of oil doesn't cost much.
I have a Peugeot 208 1.6 bluehdi 75KM 2016 will it be the same oil, i.e. 75w80? because nowhere can I find information about to be flooded.

peugeot 208 is it mandatory to replace the gearbox filter box, or is it just new oil, inside the gearbox has a dirty filter core I think it will be good for the engine to change.

Can't remember sizes, but I think old ones should be good enough, if they aren't leaking.
No need for warm up
Just fill it up to the level and you are ready to go. 🚗

Hi, maybe you can help me to know if it's possible to replace a 5 speed manual gearbox by a 6 speed manual gearbox on a Peugeot 208 (1.0l puretech 68hp) ? the idea would be to lower the rpm and the gazoline consumption when driving on the highway thanks to the 6th speed.
Peugeot and Citroen recommends gearbox oil type GL-4+, not GL-5
