OK, 1 as a visual person the arms thing actually really helped! 2 so many of these hit home for me; it's not until I started watching your channel over a year ago that I realized I can (and should!) save *while* paying off my debt and improving my money habits. If anyone wants anecdotal evidence that this makes sense: I saw my net worth increase by 25K this year (I was negative this time last year), my savings and retirement are growing each month - yay, automated deposits!, and I just paid my last student loan payment. And I honestly feel like I barely did anything! It's wild how much these false money beliefs hold you back.

Lindsay, thank you so much for sharing! Congratulations on that massive net worth increase this year!

I just hated not having a buffer in saving while trying to get out of debt. I now save 800 a month and work my budget after I save!!

This is very inspiring. Since discovering your channel and starting WBA I’ve decided to start RUclips and just go all in. Now I spend my leisure time doing free master classes, reading articles, and watching videos like yours to both improve my skill set and learn how to better handle our family’s income. We’ve established proper health insurance, done a ROTH with 100% employer matching, and even opened up two other savings accounts for different life goals. Our income hasn’t changed drastically, but we’ve learned to shift priorities and are actively seeking ways to bump up a dollar here and there.
Thank you two for all that you do and have taught me purely out of the drive to help others live happy.

Great video!!! Personal finance is personal so you have to do what works for your family!!! My husband still contributed to his 401k while we were getting out of debt and now that we’re debt free we have a big chunk in our investments🙌🏼👍🏼 I can’t wait for your 2020 budget. Planning on posting ours this week👍🏼

Thx for the idea of the one-year budget I saw in one of your videos earlier in the year. Finally started adulting and have been working my 2019 and 2020 budgets on a spreadsheet since then! Super necessary and easy to do!

I like the advice. Getting rich is not simply about making a lot of money. But, doing what actually makes you happy and moves you into the direction of living your life as you want it to be.

The arm thing made total sense to me, lol! Great video, especially at this time of year when we are bombarded with messages encouraging us to spend.
