We are a military family and this is great advice to get started on the right foot for the new year!

These were great suggestions especially getting one month ahead. I think those that may have difficulty starting to pay a month ahead could use their income tax refund to get started so having the yearly budge would help them estimate when they could it. It takes so much pressure off and the.months you an third or fifth check it truly is extra and not dedicated to bills

I'm 100% on my own for the first time after a move halfway across the country. I'm finally caught up with bills and will be able to set a real budget for the first time. I'm looking forward to having a real hold on my finances in the new year!

really appreciate you both, this is definitely a new concept for me. i've had it in mind for so long to pay off my student loan, but where i live they're interest free so i don't have a reason to try and pay them off sooner. looking forward to creating my year budget this afternoon.

Love these videos as reminder inspo :) I just made our one year spending plan the other day but with the addition of our first little one any day now, it may need some revision. Its still so important to think for the year as a whole! Especially for things like insurance payments etc that are NO surprise but we conveniently like to forget about!

I have to buckle down on my budget for 2020 because I have $135,000 in graduate student loans that are going to take affect 😩😩 and I have to juggle that with my other savings goals 🤞🤞

Hi Stephanie, remember that mindset is everything! If you look at your debt as a negative, that's how it will feel. Work to create a debt payoff plan that you can stick to and that still allows you to enjoy your life.

Hey guys I've been watching for about 3 years now and I wondering how did you get your husband to make a budget and stick to it. I make all the financial decisions but my husband makes the money. We clash heads all the time and never know where the money went or how we got it. We run several businesses

QUESTION: Tasha I hope you see this but any other input is welcomed. My father in law is going to retire soon and he seems to fall ill more often. He is in his 60s with nothing to his name. My husband just got a promotion with a pay raise. If my father in law continues to get worse we may have to move from California to Texas to be with him and take a giant pay decrease. How do I prepare financially for all the what if’s? Do I focus more on our emergency funds/savings for the what if’s? Or do I create a budget and plan trips to Texas and pay down debt and slowly work on our emergency/savings? I need clarity and a voice of reason y’all.

Why not bring our father in law to you?
That way husband doesn't have to take a huge pay cut. I know a lot of people will come back with he won't come to us in which case he should be fine in California.
When he's not, he will sell what needs to be sold and move to Texas.

@@teresa4565 That is exactly what my ex-brother- in- law and his wife did. They moved to NC and took his dad with them because he was his dads primary caregiver.
