- This is a response video from/to @CedricAda regarding 5 knives that make me happy. Now I have many other knives that make me happy, for example: My Kailash kukris, a few of my dumb Cold Steels, some Spydercos, and some Benchmades. But the knives seen in this video are all kind of hard to get, or cost me quite a bit of money and resources to obtain. The Knives seen in this video all have reviews on the channel.

This style makes the sarcasm drier and the moments of awkwardness were the cherry on top. The honesty about Microtech had me rolling.
My fanboyism was thrown a loop seeing you actually speak, I'd just assumed your real life was narrated too. Different video for sure, but the dry wit holds up the brand, and oh yeah, nice smiley knives
It’s a huge relief knowing he narrated his previous videos and it wasn’t just one of the voices in my head that was obsessed with knives.

Your normal pre-narrated style is unique amongst knife reviewers, but you absolutely can do extemporaneous dialogue. You know your knives, you know your audience, just maintain your authenticity and you'll kill it.

Microtech's are like a Cold Steel "Tri-ad" folder. Hard use, can hammer into a 2x4 or sheet metal without breaking the knife but they are still very crude & stiff. I don't know why anyone wold by a Marifone Custom OTF for $1,200+ when Hawk Industries hasbthe Deadlock OTF available. A Marifone Custom has the same crude - stiff action as the Ultratech/Troodons.. just mirror polished blade & premium material inlays. I do love my Ultratechs though.

Cool that this showed up in the feed. Of the objects that make me happy, nothing comes closer than my Murray Carter neck knives. One of them is always with me. Almost impossible to sharpen (for me anyway), but absolutely nothing cuts better.
OK you got me. Pete is my favorite knife YTer. But really love your irreverent attitude & knife reviews with batoning (especially with knives no one else would use for that). That fixed blade would make me happy too. The Deadlock would be great but I don't ever see myself owning one/ unless a wealthy stranger gave it to me. Thanks for doing this, you may get more views than you think.

Good video with cool knives man. Good choices but I thought for sure you would whip out a Pink Boker Kalashnikov with the doughnut sprinkle scales. I know you can't get them anymore but it would make me happy to have one. If they ever make one with fruit loops on the handle, it's mine!

I'm faithful to your channel since Rat 2 video (which still my personal favorite). Thanks to you, my pocket a noticeably lighter but in exchange I never run out of sharp steel in my place. And I never considered to own a slipjoint aside from swiss but damn this Bear and Sausage tool screams of masculinity and I need it in my life more than any knife.

Naw shawn , I've been sharpening knives for other folks for 40 years & I still watch sharpening videos. Jared of Neeves Knives has some good ones on freehand. Never can tell, you might pick up a new trick. Too many think it's a mysterious process, truth is there are several ways to sharpen freehand, as long as you get a sharp edge without removing too much material, your good.

A traditional folder should always be scratched up and used, I still have my scout knife and love it for the wear and natural black oxide that has developed over the years.
You and Dutch Bushcraft Knives are pretty much the only knife channels I watch and you both fill different niches. As for favorites overall you need to be easier on yourself, dude. You're top 30 at least.
