Welcome to Coaster Madness, the Park Pros version of NCAA March Madness. In this edition of Coaster Madness, we'll be taking a look at the coaster collections of Six Flags parks, but with a twist. The best three coasters at each park will be put up against each other in a single elimination "Big 3" coaster tournament to decide which park will reign supreme. Who will come out on top? It's not a Gerstlauer wooden coaster but it has Gerstlauer trains. It's actually a CCI.

Park pros, this such a cool concept!! You should bring this back and this time add a touch of American idol or America's Got Talent and let the viewers vote. Then do a results video to show which parks advanced to the next round. Do everything else the same. Also include all the Parks, stand alones and major parks that have roller coasters(ex. Dollywood, Kennywood, Disney parks, Bush Gardens, SeaWorld, and Universal(not including parks under construction lol)). It would be a fun coaster fan competition!

I feel a little sorry for Great Escape. Comet is a classic coaster that's been around for 50+ years, they have a rare corkscrew coaster, and the bobsled one at least looks unique (if really dirty and rusted). Great Escape seems to be more of a classic family amusement park rather than a major thrill park.

I have never been to another Six Flags park which is crazy and I've only been to Seasame Place, WDW and Cedar Point all when I was younger.
Get to one! Completely different experience than all the parks you just mentioned.
I would have put Darien Lake over Over Georgia. In part because I am not a huge fan of Schwarz coasters and also, an 11 seed always beats a 6 in the real tourney.

Diamondback at Frontier City is also a former coaster of Great Adventure, it used to be one of the interlocking Arrow Shuttle Loop coasters called Lightning Loops

Great America's lineup absolutely crushes over Georgia's. Twisted Cyclone is really mediocre looking and Goliath at Great America has great elements. Raging Bull and Goliath at Over Georgia are very close but Raging Bull is not a weaker B&M hyper and crushes Nitro and Diamondback. Maxx Force is insane and although Schwarzkopf loopers look good it can't compete with the insanity that Maxx Force is
Actually, I’d say SFoG handily wins the first two of those matchups and therefore beats SFGAm.
StamfordBridge twisted cyclone looks insanely weak and it may have strong pops of air but is really weak and not even top 100 in the world in my opinion . Goliath at Great America has the much bigger height and speed and steeper drop plus the much better inversions.
Patrick Cadiz also been to both and disagree with you completely! But don’t take that the wrong way haha. Goliath(Sfog) to me is wayyy better than bull in every way ( besides bulls drop) I found out that I enjoyed twicyc more than Goliath(sfgam) and yes I would say that Maxx is better than mind bender but that’s 2-1 so I’d say over Georgia has a better top 3 but GAm has a better supporting line up and more park charm.
Not speaking for myself but just gauging all enthusiasts’ opinion on average, SFoG’s Goliath is definitely held in higher esteem than Raging Bull, and Twisted Cyclone is on average rated higher than SFGAm’s Goliath. You guys are of course welcome to voice your own opinions, as we all are, but you should at least be aware when you’re voicing minority opinions.

It's what their overall seed in the tournament is (ranked by attendance).

i love it but i was a lottle dissapointed that poltergeist fiesta texas wasnt up there
Is it just me or are the attendance numbers for Fiesta Texas really bad? I thought they'd be in the upper half since they're open yearround.
I think it’s mostly just because San Antonio is a smaller market than the likes of NYC, Chicago, LA, etc. which all have Six Flags parks close.
Boss is CCI not Gerstlauer, it only has trains manufactured by them.

Ik I’m very late to the party, but I think le monster is a Cobb, not a ptc, but great video!
I think a better match up would've been Six Flags Mexico against La Ronde, or Frontier City against Great Escape, or Six Flags Fiesta Texas against Six Flags Over Texas, or Six Flags Discovery Kingdom against Six Flags America, or Six Flags St. Louis against Six Flags Darien Lake. A lot of these rankings seemed very unfair.
Next time we do a tournament like this I'll take a look at other ways to seed it besides attendance... it does create a bunch of lopsided match ups in the first round.
The best parks get matched up against the worst ones in the first round. That’s how tournaments work.
Really what I think, it’s a great series, but I feel that 12 of the parks don’t even stand a chance. I haven’t watched the entire series yet, but I know it’s going to be either GAdv, MM or GA.
I am doing something similar in the near future, but with the overall lineup of each park. (Spoiler! There is a HUGE upset early on!)

Steamin demon is more of a garbage can than a coaster. And yes, GE is my home park.
After I visited Six Flags America on 4/17, I believe that the top 3 at SFA is:
3rd: Wild One
2nd: Batwing
1st: Superman: Ride of Steel
I believe that Medusa and Superman cancel each other out, and all 3 from SFA are better than a Freespin. Also, Batwing and Wild One combined easily beat out Superman el Ultimo Escape, although neither on their own would beat Superman. Hence why I would have chosen America over Mexico for the first-round matchup.

Six Flags America #3 would probably be firebird -the original B&M- floor lessconvert. Hell... wild one wooden coaster ahead over Batwing... I mean... I would take the Spinning Mouse over Batwing!

SFMM is hard to pick a top 3. Twisted Colossus, X2, Tatsu,
Goliath, West Coast Racers, Full Throttle you can argue Riddler's Revenge, Batman, Superman and Viper good coasters. I think they have one of the best line ups out there but not a top 3. Should be fun to see what you think.
I’d go with X2, Twisted Colossus, and Tatsu - which would probably be an unbeaten trio for this competition, IMO.
Comet is the only good coaster in great escape. Always sits at #14 in the golden tickets. All the other coasters are trash. Honestly, their boomerang is better than bobsled and steamin demon.
