I woke up at 1:47am this morning and could not go back to sleep. I was consumed with thoughts of how unhappy and unfulfilled my life is. I kept thinking "I have to figure out what to do because this cannot be it for my life". I had some down time at work and searched "starting over at 48" and I came across a few of Stephanie's videos. I just want to say, after listening to a few and browsing the comments, I don't feel alone anymore. I am hopeful.

I am in that place now. I will be 48 next month. I am so ready for change.
My 40's have been my super sad period. At 47, now I am taking the steps to ensure the rest of my life brings me healing, peace, joy, abundance, happiness and success!

This was fab! (BTW I went to school with Eddie Murphy. He’s a good guy and we were all so happy & proud when he got his big break with Saturday Night Live. He’s shown up to high school reunions & definitely remembers where he’s come from.

Hi, my name is Iris and I am 66 years old in April. I’ll be living in Thailand and you’re right in the 50s. I did the work retired from 23 years in the military then went and got a masters. A bachelors got license and I did the work now it is time to enjoy joy, joy, and play.

Have you read "The #1 Ladies Detective Agency" series? You'd love it. It was made into a t.v. miniseries starring Jill Scott, which was very enjoyable, but I'm a reader, so...BTW love the hair❤.
Yes, that was a great book and TV series. Jill Scott and Anika Noni Scott did great in their roles.
The random part is that the books were written by a Scottish doctor who grew up in Zimbabwe.

I so enjoyed this conversation. So many points were so relatable. I began some self analysis and reflection while listening. I laughed and sobbed and felt a cleansing occurring. I remember walking around and being so saddled with grieving. On the outside I was killing things (promotions, being a mover and a shaker and helping others). But, I was a wreck. Therapy was a must. I am so glad I said yes to betterment. I laughed about the car because I have a family member that did the same thing. Thank you for your transparency.

So much truth in your words. I have suspected that about myself this belief that when I have more, I will give more. I believe my belief in poverty lack mentality will still kick in when I have millions.
I am the same way with money. I love seeing the money in my account grow and remain in it too. Every time the balance goes down, I fret. I am trying to be better about that. I earned it and need to spend it on myself. It is for me to use and I need to do better. I need to die with zero.
