    Girl, THANKS!!!!! This just gave me some IDEAS!!!!!! What else am I gonna to do!!! I am disabled, so I am ALWAYS LOOKING FOR THINGS TO DO THAT I CAN. I finally have learned to perfect my bread making techniques, Now I am working on Sourdough bread. My best buddy & I were supposed to make the bread Sun. after Church but I got sick so My sweet Husband took my place. Boy you should have heard them in the kitchen!! Thanks sooo much!!! One think I love about your rug is that it is safe and NON-SKID God Bless you!!!

      The hidden blessing of your disability: it seems to me that its slowed you down enough so that you enjoy simple things, unlike so many of us others. WOW. I've never once baked a loaf of bread in my life! To hear of your passion, well, it inspires me. I LOVE sourdough bread and I'm kinda a diva about it. I never thought to make it. I'll add it of my list of things to learn and hopefully perfect. THANK YOU for the idea. I hope that you find yourself in better health nowadays 😊

    Great idea! I made a blue rug for my bedroom and everybody loves it! I bought my rug mat (backing) from dollar store, so it only cost me a dollar. It was selling as a bath mat, but it worked fine. Thank you for the inspiration!

    Made one of these after watching your video. 2 feet by 4.5 feet to go in front of my couch. 10 skeins of Bernat Baby Blanket Little Sandcastles yarn and about two weeks of doing a skein a day (with a couple break days, obviously.) Kids, husband, and animals love it!

    Great idea with the backing already on. Genius and actually quicker with little bundles than hooking one piece of yarn at a time. Appreciate the short cut. Thanks.

    Wow nice way to make these! I have made a few rugs using a latch hook and even searched and searched until I found a yarn cutter that would cut my yarn the exact length I needed without having to measure etc..and I've not seen it done this way! What a simple way to make a rug. Thanks for the video!

  • @mariab.1997
    @mariab.1997 7 лет назад

    Great idea. If you have a crochet hook it might be easier than the hair pin, only because with a hook you are dealing with one piece and not two which might get caught and slow you down, but what a wonderful idea to use the hair pin too! Oh a small aligator clip might work too! You got me thinking! That rug was a lot of work. Very beautiful.

    I was going to do this rug bc it’s very very cute but apparently if u use the lower cost cheap rubber backing on a hardwood floor u can ruin it. It binds to the poly finish on the floor and would cause extensive damage. If u plan to do this u either have to put it on tile or laminate, not wood. Or u can purchase natural rubber backing but it’s way more expensive. It’s super cute though and I love it

    • @shayzzam
      @shayzzam 4 года назад

      Albert Ramos you can also put the back of the finished piece on contact paper. It defeats the purpose of nonslip but it would save your floor.
