I wouldnt say they think it's too powerful but moreso that the Narga CB is in a Good place (which, if you look at the average top times for each weapon, Yeah. It is... CB is upper Mid Tier. And is surprisingly well balanced with most of the weapons in the game.)
If you could do a quick set of videos about what attack per monster you recommend would be a clean GP->SAED that would be amazing. I love SAED but I noticed I get punished, for instance, after the Zinogre "bite->double stomp/tail swipe". He recovers faster and attack me at the end of the SAED attack by then. A mini guide on that would allow anybody intermediate to MH to have a lot of fun with the SAED CB! :D
Got something to say about diablos cb. Firstly, bludgeoner isn’t completely useless on it because you can get pass the blue sharpness surprisingly quickly. Second, if you make it from upgrades you can get attack II (+6) rampage skill, topping rajang’s phial damage. Affinity is still hurts raw hits tho SAED spam With my setup I have attack lv7 guard lv5 bludgeoner lv3 Offensive guard lv3 Artillery lv3 Load shells lv2 Guard up lv1 Defense lv1 Flinch free lv1 Diversion lv1 The lv3 slot makes it a lot more comfy to fit in offensive guard thus more room for other skills. Depending on your charm you can fit in lv3-5 guard. Max phial damage without attack buffs on toadversary is 131 There’s also a spinning slash set with diablos cb that does more dps than narga meta but I won’t recommend it because it’s a bit hard to use
The diablos chargeblade can have 246 raw if you smuggle attack 2 ramp up from earlier in the tree and doesnt have that much blue sharpness so it very quickly ends up in green, where it then takes advantage of bludgeoner. Affinity doesnt affect phial explosions, and can easily be negated by wex. Rampage chargeblade can have 250 raw if you use all the attack boosting ramp ups, but it has more blue than diablos, no slot, and no +20 defense. As long as the target isnt weak to thunder, they should do around the same damage. Training room dummy is weak to thunder because it uses tetranadons stats.
Sadly, Jang CB has a lot more going for it besides high raw. The huge green sharpness it has basically means it basically always stays at "best condition" whereas rampage or diablos always have to deal with a timeframe when they have blue sharpness and are weaker to Jang, and because of their minuscule green sharpness, there is an even bigger timeframe were they have deal with yellow sharpness, which is simply awful. But that isn't the biggest issue, both diablos and rampage have to deal with negative 30% affinity. This doesn't seem bad on a weapon where half the damage comes from phial damage, but the other damage is still physical, so having to deal with that -30% affinity is a huge detriment to the EFR. All and all, Diablos and rampage are good CBs, but Rajang is king.
The new savage axe build seems legit... But it doesn't have that 2 level of rapid morph from Almudron helmet anymore, I wonder if that'll make a big difference in the control feelings... Probably need to test it out myself
I would say in some cases the Kushala CB out matches Narga. Thanks to the soul rampage skill you can easily have 100% crit rate. Although it is only really a better choice against monsters weak to ice since it should be built with Ice Attack 5.
Nice video, subbed. I've been looking around for some CB setups and have been using the Rampage CB (gotta get dat fashion hunter in) with negative affinity for SAED spam. I even made a paralysis Rampage CB for the fun of it too. They're not great but they're fun CBs. I still hate it though that the Narga CB is yet again king for Savage Axe setups. Can Capcom please for the love of god with Grank allow the Rampage CB to have deco slots and a fourth rampage skill slot??? Kinda bored of seeing Narga weapons get preferential treatment over most others. P.S. While most probably don't like Rajang's "ugly" CB... I love it😁. Ever since I first met him in MHWborne and went to MHGU he is without a doubt my favorite monster. Now if we could ever get Voljang, Furious Rajang and or Enma Rajang in Sunbreak I will be the happiest man on the planet.
Nah, i tested it. You can only get to 250 raw if you forego green sharpness. This means you cannot use bludgeoner 3 which makes you lose 10% raw. 250 raw Vs 240 + 24 + dulling strike Rajang is still ahead of ramapge CB s
@@Painted_J Yes but if you stick with blue sharpness and use those 3 skills not on bludgeoner but on other damage skills it performs marginally ahead of rajang. Test it you will be surprised.

Mmm correct me if I'm wrong but the tigrex CB with white sharpness (x1.32) ends up giving you more damage than the new rajang cb with bludgeoner 3. Obv the drawback is that you need to use protective polish and compensate for the -15% affinity
Sadly, this was only the case in the previous patch only, where if you were to deal more than 53% of the damage via physical hits, Tigrex would edge out against Rajang. Tigrex was still kinda inconsistent because of how random the saed hitbox is. Now that rajang has more raw, Tigrex is becoming even weaker in comparison

The reddit post kinda concludes that the tigrex on white has better raw and the rajang cb has better phial damage. For what I can read the difference is not that big, someone made a point about how much phial damage can you actually land in a fight. I guess it depends on how you play. Let's see what ppl come up with in hardcore testing 🤔
I'm curious what your talisman is for the ikaji immortal set @1:29 it's not that ab 3 with a level 2 slot is it? I have a bludgeoner lvl3 with a level 2 slot and have nearly the same set minus one ab.
I'm using the Diablos. Back it out to put dull strike. And you can use the lvl3 slot for offensive guard. Better damage overall. The blue sharpness goes away quickly a few attacks and blocks.
I actually made something a little similar to that last set. Only difference is that i have an +2 att +1recoil charm with a lvl 3 slot and put in fortify. But working it in gives me at most 450 att and 620 def iirc.
Wouldn't brutal strike negate the negative 30 affinity on the the diablos cb? I feel like if you run protective polish on it to maintain the blue it can be a comparable option. I need to test it myself though.
Brutal strike is a bit of a... weird skill. If we were able to get more negative affinity; closer to about -80 to -100% then it would be better for big hits. But as it works now, youll have 30% chance to strike for negative affinity, and on top of that, youll have a chance to proc brutal strike on top of that. Brutal strike is great for maxing out the best possible damage numbers, but being that it work through RNG on top of RNG its not really that feasable. If we were able to stack negative affinity then we'd be able to cut away with one of the RNG aspects, and it would be more feasable.
Honestly, once you put rapid morph on your CB set, you probably will not want to go back. Especially in the case of a savage axe build. The video seems to prefer offensive guard over Rapid Morph though. If you're an Axe Hopper player, you might not want to bother with taking Rapid Morph though. Although I say this, it still benefits "element up roundslash." So if you're loading your sword energy into phials, that will still make a difference no matter what.
It won't fit on the set. One way to make morphing into Savage axe mode faster without the skill Rapid Morph is to just charge up to yellow, transfer phial, then morph.
Anyone can help for the last set? I don't have a god like charm like AB 3 (2-0-0).. Therefore, I would like to ask which would be better? AB or Crit Boost?
I was using a bludgeoner 3 2-0-0 charm but the same set can be done with ab 3 2-0-0. Just input the skills you want wkth the charm in the site in the description
well i mean you could easy use rathalos arms and anja waist for ez 4 attack on top of that. and if you feel cheeky you could make a rampage blast / poison weapon you should be able to get it to 230 raw with the poison. (you would have to work through the blue tho)
hmm cant you take out master touch and add decorations all the way to lvl 7 attack would that do more damage? and instead of flinch free and speed sharpening
Its only the cookie cutter sets, where I prioritize essential skills over non essential ones like rapid morph and load shells. Rapid morph does not give you mora attack, sadly. It only speeds up saeds by a little bit. Maybe its a bug? Cpp should cover all your phial needs so load shells isnt as essential. Thats why i only use it if i have space for it
Sorry for my english. It seems that bludgeonner doesn't proc at every hits, so it's not too worth. (Like the Rampage skill, or maybe it's only for the Rampage skill). Do u make some test ? With a blue sharpness that down in green for exemple.

I think kushala CB has great potential for rajang and diablos matchups. I will look into it in my elemental CBs video

ive tested with the rampage s n on elemental impact phial charge blade and the saed is much stronger with that one...why rajang?

Savage axe is the strongesr playstyle, followed by SAED, Axe hopper, and overcharged sword spam as the weakest playstyle

Nah, maintaining white sharpness is more important than a little bit more raw. Sharpenning mid fight more than once

Nope, thats just a myth. A few monsters, like teostra, require guard 5 to block every attack

I would put more bazel armor in you might lose in attack but you gain load shells and rapid morph which gives you more attack
Mostly you can do bazel for arms,waist and legs and fit in rest, depending on play style, in decos/amulet

Bludgeoner is always active whenever you have green sharpness. Its not conditional
