    Using the stucco patch as a paint sample is something a copied from a pro a long time ago! Makes it possible to blend patches and not stick out to the eye.

      That’s what we do. Sadly our best work is when people can not see it 😂

      You do a great job with before and after, the difference is clear. I started painting first then learned stucco repair. I’m using a white stucco patch from Custom Building Products and I prime/paint over it. I find it interesting that you don’t come back after a week or two and paint the project. Painting is relaxing. Stucco is too

      @@zookini these homes are not painted. They are color coated with the original stucco. The way to tell the difference is if you wet the wall and it looks wet then it’s the original stucco. If water runs down then it’s painted. I would spray a little water on the wall to test it before you paint. If you paint the patch and the wall isn’t painted, then you’ll see the paint marks once it rains. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching and I appreciate the complement. 👍🏽

      @@blackhemi8 makes sense, I’m cleaning my gutters today and I noticed that the base color stucco doesn’t absorb water but the accent color stucco does, is it possible that they painted part of the stucco on the house and not the other? Never been painted since 2006 build date

    When would you use a bonding agent? I use it around sprinklers and hose bibs. Is it not necessary? Takes extra time

      I can’t say I have used it. We’ve probably seen couple of the same videos here and they use it when they are going to color coat a repair or re stucco a PAINTER wall. If the wall hasn’t been painted, then there is no point on using it. I much rather use this acrylic cement than putting glue on a wall and apply stucco over it.

    How does the product foam tech looks like at the stores

      It’s a purple and white bag sold by Omega. Not sure, but I believe it’s around 50 lbs. It’s enough for a full bucket. However, it is only sold at building material stores. Good luck 👍🏽

    Mesh the patches man ???

      Maybe for the one under the window I will agree with you, but all the rest don’t need them. Even the one under the window won’t crack, but yes mesh would come in clutch. Thanks for watching.

    What does fogging mean?

    • @blackhemi8
      @blackhemi8  Год назад

      Fog coat is use to blend in a new patch with the existing house color. It is pretty much the stucco without the sand in it. It is the same product mixed with color (color packs) pigmentation to match the existing house color. This is not paint, but a cementitious product.
