I grew up seeing Maldini lifting 5 cups (the ones that matter). Aside from being one of the most iconic football player, he's one of the most respected person due to his human qualities. He's the one who brought hope to us supporters after the banter era. Words can not describe how disappointed I am now after a day before we also lost Ibra.

if Cardinale wants to run Milan like an American sports team he's probably going to do 3 things 1) try hard as hell to build a stadium 2) sell players and frequently turn over the squad. The issue here is the disrespect to Maldini, when you disrespect Maldini you are disrespecting the club and it's fans. In addition, Milan actually has a core of players that can be built upon to field a regular Scudetto contender, and frequenter of the Champions league knockout stages. That core was built largely in part to Maldini. 3) Fail because in the long run you can't sustain success without loyalty, passion, and genuine belief in what you're doing.

  • @IntoTheWeeds71

Cardinale is about to figure out Milan is a different kind of club. There are a handful of clubs around the world where history matters more than most things, and Milan is one of them. The history is what allures players, what keeps them there, what makes it feel like more than just a team, what connects them to the fans. Yes, every club has history, but Milan's is different, and treating such a pillar of that history with such disrespect is mind-blowingly stupid. Imagine being the guy who sacked Maldini from Milan.

    Owners come and go.
    Players come and go.
    Coaches come and go.
    Managers come and go.
But AC Milan stays for ever. And We, the "Milanisti", WE ARE AC MILAN!
And Maldini was a great legendary player, great captain and a leader for many generations, he was a great director with many achievements and NOW he continues to be a great Milanista for ever.. Like "US" coz after all "WE R AC MILAN" and spme just wanna be... Or try to be or hmmmm.. its just business.

Cardinale fired him because Maldini wanted more experienced players while Cardinale wants young players with potential so that they can sell and earn more Money for redbird. He does not care about Milan, Cardinale knows that Milan is famous worldwide, and he sees money for himself and his company. Cardinale knows how to speak to make it look good. But mark my words Cardinale is going to make money and leave Milan like trash in the end.

I'm a fan who was born because of passion & not like a plastic fan because some players was bought etc.. and I'm from Timor-Leste a small South East Asian country!
To see the way this club is going making me very sad & confused... You can't & don't disrespect a LEGEND of AC Milan even importantly as a Italian Football Legend!
So if this is the way the club & Italian Football going than Serie A just lost a fan!
Everyone from my generation left the Italian Football and move to England (Super League) & other league but I stick because I love AC Milan & the Italian Football culture...

For me, the Roma EL final match was influenced by the following points:
    - Many players were recovering from injuries, especially Dybala and El Shaarawy.
    - Referee had a massive influence on the match, not just the penalty, but the yellow cards he was giving to Roma in the 1st half and the yellows he didn’t give to Sevilla in the 2nd half. With a subpar team, if you have the referee influence those small moments so many times, it takes a massive toll on the entire team. And then the penalty not being called was the final nail in the coffin. It’s really hard to overcome that mentally, especially where you’re the underdogs.
    - Even then, Roma had the best chances in the game, had to play defensively due to Sevilla‘s team and still could have won the game if a few chances went their way or if the ref wasn’t so influential. It wasn’t a beautiful game by Roma, but it was certainly the most effective. Just the fact that Sevilla won without scoring a goal is crazy. This was Roma‘s match to win and Bono (who played a fantastic game), the ref and the crossbar at the end didn’t let Roma win. With the exception of the ref, as Matic said, “that’s football”.

At home then probably but it’s a one off, neutral zone, and anything can happen. I think it’ll be extremely close, or a draw and somehow end up in pens. I have faith but I’m not gonna be delusional about winning. Hope the pressure, Guardiola repeating 2021 errors, and we play our best is in our favor.

He then goes on to say no to kvara, enzo and alverez and then says no to dybala whose earning is 3.8 mil almost as much as origi. Maldini is great at luring players and being the bridge between management and players but generally as a technical director he was shit..if this was anyone but maldini we would all be happy with the sack.

We're at a moment where we need consistency more than anything, and instead Cardinale has sacked a club icon who players and fans looked up to who was massively influential in negotiations and club direction. They've thrown everything up in the air, risking the progress of the last few years. Even if he decided someone would be better than Maldini, do it right, give the team time to come to terms with it and have a transition, because now the players are furious at the sudden sacking and might not want to renew.
