      Thanks Rachel. That's so kind of you. I wish you every success with C25K. It's such a good programme - it's unbelievable how you suddenly find yourself able to run for lengths of time that you never thought possible! Best advice I can offer is to not go too fast, try to enjoy every run and the progress and also try to have a plan for what to do after you graduate C25K. Perhaps set a target of trying to do it in under 30 minutes, or go for 10K (I have videos about both on the channel)? It all sounds bonkers to think about when you're in the thick of C25K and running for 15 minutes seems like a stretch too far, but you really CAN do it and you will!! All the very best and thanks so much for leaving your feedback. Andy.

      Hi @Saints 1075 So pleased you're enjoying the videos and they're giving you some motivation! As you've probably already noticed there are videos that go right through the whole of the C25K programme and then I've got futher videos that go up to 10K and beyond. Yikes! Thanks for watching and Up The Saints! 😃 Andy.

    Just completed week 6, run 2. It was tough but manageable.
    I keep coming back here for motivation, very helpful to see how far you’ve come since these vlogs were posted. You should be really proud of what you have achieved. I can relate far better to someone more similar to me than these gods that glide down the road running sub 40min 10k without breaking a sweat!

      Thanks, Simon. So pleased you're finding the videos helpful. The runs in C25K get gradually more tricky, but stick with it because you CAN do it! You'll be graduating the programme before you know it! Continued good luck! with it! Andy

    Andy just a quick comment to thank you for these videos- I have my Week 6 run 3 tomorrow and I genuinely don’t think I’d have got that far without your encouraging insight into the programme, especially week 5 which I had been really dreading.

    • @TheRamblyChannel
      @TheRamblyChannel  4 года назад

      Hi Ailig Thanks so much for your kind words. Week 5 is a huge challenge and I'm sure week 6 is proving more of the same, however you're getting to the business end of the programme now so you can do it for sure! Once you graduate from C25K (and you will!!) I have more videos that go right up to 10K and beyond. Yikes! Those distances do exist...! Keep running and all the very best for the remainder of the programme. Andy.

    Hi Andy. I’ve been doing C25K, and have watched your vids for motivation, right from my first week.
    Have just completed Wk6, run 3, so did the 25m run.
    Genuinely mate, watching your progress, has been inspirational, in the true sense of the word. Will hopefully leave you another message when Wk9 is done. But thanks - these vlogs have helped.

    • @TheRamblyChannel
      @TheRamblyChannel  4 года назад +1

      Hi @andymward79 That's so kind of you to say. If the videos have helped even just a little bit then that makes me very happy! That 25m run is a toughie. I remember getting to 20 minutes and just couldn't believe I could make the last 5m. It seems such a long time. Very much a mental challenge at this stage as you get closer to the end. However those blocks of longer runs should give you the confidence to know that you can finish and get to the end of W9. Graduation is a dead cert for you now. Best advice I can offer is to have a new goal to set yourself once you get to the very end of the programme. I made the mistake of floundering a bit after I completed week 9. Good luck and thanks for watching! 😀🏃🏻‍♂️ Andy.

      Hi @Indigo R Thanks so much for your kind feedback. Congratulations on making the 20 minutes. I feel that's such a massive step forward (in every sense!) It's that run that I think makes you realise that you really CAN do it! I wish you every success with the rest of C25K. I finished week 6 today!! I actually finished the C25k program earlier in the year and was getting towards a sub 60 min 10k - until I got sciatica (which i’d never had before and was horrendous), meant I pretty much stopped everything for four months. I felt like I’d lost all fitness, so started the whole thing again. Watched a few of your videos - good stuff, entertaining and motivating 😁

    • @TheRamblyChannel
      @TheRamblyChannel  4 года назад

      Hi @Nick J I can empathise with you. I had sciatica a few years ago. Never known pain like it. It was dreadful. I was out of action for a similar time, although being self employed I had to carry on working as best as I could. Not much fun! You have my sympathy. Glad you're enjoying the videos. If you were on for a sub 60 minute 10K then you should be well placed to complete the programme again with ease. I've got loads of videos that cover all of C25K and go beyond to 10K and then even further than that. Thanks for watching and all the best with your running. Andy

      Hi Rizwan. It's great to hear that you're carrying on regardless of the restrictions and making use of your garden. That's dedication!! You're spot on about Week 6 - things start to get tricky from there to the end of the programme, however you've built up stamina in those first weeks of C25K so will be able to complete these later runs. first of all, your videos are very motivating and thank you so much :) I have a question; i did week 6 day1 and day2 well. But in day3 i could only run for 11 mins first then on the same day i tried again and i could run for 15 mins. What would you suggest? Do you think i should try week 6 again or start week 7? Thanks again :)

    • @TheRamblyChannel
      @TheRamblyChannel  4 года назад +2

      Hi Arya It sounds to me as if you've done pretty well. Some runs will be better than others so it could just be that it was "one of those things and you shouldn't let it worry you too much. It's important to have a complete day of rest between runs, so if you go out on a Monday, for example, then you shouldn't be going out again until Wednesday. It's also a good idea to start looking into warm up and cool down routines. They're not essential at this point, but do help as the distance and times start to increase. There's information about that sort of thing inside the C25K app. If you start week 7 and feel like it's too much then don't be afraid to re-do week 6, as you suggest, there's no shame in that at all! Every run is helping you to build stamina so it's all positive, even if it's a repeated run. Thank you so much for watching and for your kind words. You will graduate the programme, there's no doubt about it! There are more videos on my channel for the final few weeks and then more that go right up to 10K and beyond. Yikes! All the very best! • @TheRamblyChannel
      @TheRamblyChannel  5 лет назад +2

      Hi Rebecca. You're right, it is a big step up, however the programme is designed to ease you in gradually over the first few weeks, building your stamina so that when you get to the latter stages, you suddenly find that you're capable of things that you never thought possible! I'm not going to sugarcoat it, it will be tough, however you can definitely do it! Be confident - you've completed the weeks up to now so you can complete week 6 for sure! My best advice would be not to go too fast, try to pace yourself, and don't be afraid to slow down a bit if you think you need to. There will be times on the run that you want to give up but try to push through that and you'll be amazed at what you can do. All the very best!! Let me know how you get on! Regards, Andy
