Yes it's a mistake I made while I was writing the video. after doing more research, I discovered that the nameless namekian created the black stars dragon balls in those 30 years of training before becoming the next guardian of earth. I knew about him splitting before become the new guardian but I didn't know how to place the events, he actually had a period of 30 years between the first time he applied for that position and him splitting in order to achieve it.

Garlic was the nameless namekian's rival who also applied to be guardian, but was rejected because of his impure intentions. His gift was the aqua water, that was a control method to unite humanity, but once rejected he changed it into the black water mist which turns people into brainwashed vampires as we see in the dead zone movie. I think several other magic or impressive artifacts were previous Kami's contributions. Flying nimbus, Korin Tower, the power pole, sacred water, original senzu bean, etc. I also think it was uncommon for Kami to live as long as the nameless namakian, because most of them were probably humans with magical capabilities. Thus the large amount of "sacred" objects. I actually have a theory that master Mutaito was Kami's predecessor.
Uh, no. The opposite of green is purple/magenta. Red, blue, and green are the three primary colors of light. (And cyan/teal, magenta/purple, and yellow the primary pigments) Get with the late 19th century!
Its neat having another reason for undergoing the split, I like gt using old lore in new ways like fir ssj4, as opposed to adding completely new stuff not too integrated with the past.
I think GT had a lot of interesting ideas. Like, the baby arc was such a great concept. However, I absolutely do not like how GT executed almost everything. There were also some deal breaker concepts. Like, if Goku was a kid for a singular arc, it would have been fine, but making that permanent was a terrible decision

GT did a lot better in respecting the source material than Super does. It was no masterpiece by any means but it has its moments. At least it's better than Super. :D
Honestly I'm so into it. With his design and color palette, he just feels like Shenron on steroids. He feels dangerous and on another level. Red is my favorite color too. He truly deserves his name: ultimate Shenron. It could be one of my favorite elements in GT.

When piccolo fused with nail, he became another namekian. as a result of that, the fusion of (piccolo+nail) and kami doesn't produce the nameless namekian, but rather it produces a new namekian that his soul is not attached to the existence of the black star dragon balls, so their reactivation is impossible. However, I had to explain it in the video exactly like it was intended in the scenario and plot perspective.

(To describe the way of explaining complex concept using simplified terms). In this video I said that the nameless namekian became the guardian of earth, crafted the black stars dragon balls then seperated into kami and piccolo. But due to me searching more about this subject after I finished uploading the video, I found out that he actually applied to become the guardian of earth but he was refused by his predecessor because of his evil side, so he kept training for the next 30 years until he made the black stars dragon Balls , then he learnt to seperat himself in order to finally become the guardian of earth.

That's the black star eternal dragon. He's more powerful than shenron. Hence why they scatter across the universe and blow up the planet where the wish was made. The original namek had the evil in him and was essentially 50/50. The black star dragon shouldn't be seen as "evil". Just tainted. But Omega Shenron was from the Red star Dragon ball breaking not the Black star. I believe there is a scene is Dragon ball GT where on of each the Red str & black Star are sitting next to other & the red star begins to break. While the black star who've only had one two wishes on ever used in the anime show no signs of being affected.
This needs its own show. Consideration it says the nameless one has been on earth since childhood and had many adventures it could definitely be made into a new show!

This actually solved the biggest plot hole of Dragon ball...who and what was King Piccolo a Namekian doing on earth and why he wanted to regain his youth
I miss this music in the background when I heard it the first time in GT I was blown away. The piano was a heavily used instrument in GT’s soundtrack & in my opinion many tracks were overlooked. Glad to hear the music playing in the background it brought back so many memories 😂
It's a different type of dragonball (black star) that is scattered across neighboring galaxies, instead of just across earth. This shenron is a different more powerful/bigger shenron.
They came back but they were hidden inside a well in the kami's lookout, which theoretically stops the signals that these dragon balls emits from being tracked by radars.

It’s just when you get ‘modern’ reboots of something these problems hit harder when they forget the source material like dumbing down a char that already had multiple training arcs that actually showed off said improvements. Which super should of focused more on the next generation and have the old generation regulate more to a supporting cast that SOMETIMES joins the mainline. I would not be amazed if super runs out of ideas and rips MORE things from GT. Since having a lot more dragon balls that not only grant wishes on a more broken scale even when the same size or LOADS easier to find already destroys the wow factor of Z. Since it’s already implied Earth is a amazing place and likely treated as a perfect spot for dragon balls to be created outside of namekian’s home planet, having a single namekian on a much less populated planet able to create similar balls that not only need LESS then 7 balls, but can be used todo wishes MULTIPLE TIMES, in a single year is already an arse play. Especially when normally the balls go inactive for a year or so to disperse bad energies and regain power from the planet. Similar to what chaos emeralds ended up leaning into, especially as those sonic games got up to stuff like unleashed, then kinda half slapped that with sonic frontiers reinforcing they didn’t need to lock to a specific planet to function at all, likely also stating it in the comics beforehand. Anyway, at least the black star balls had some monkey’s paw to pull a hunter x hunter to be way more potent by cursing the planet for destruction in a year to allow supposedly more potent wishes. Course on that note because a certain trio are KIDDOS in super, does that not implied certain events in the original series occurred and part of GT so it turns into a half arse ret con with super in that regard? in DBZ, before the last fight against Cell, Dende replaces/becomes Kami and revives Shenron because the dragonball turned into stones after Kami & Piccolo became one again. The stars don't turn black at all.
Actually the Black Star Dragon Balls were made before he became Kami as you have to be pure of heart to take on the position & the Black Star Dragon Balls only exist due to the Nameless Namekian which is why they returned when Piccolo fused with Kami as he effectively became the Nameless Namekian reborn!

because GT is TOEI fanfiction used to milk the franchise when Toriyama decided to retire from writing more Dragonball. So TOEI had the brilliant idea to make a Super Shenron to reset Goku back to a kid and just retread every single arc... but slightly different. The Dragonball Evolution happened, and Toriyama came out of partial retirement to correct that great evil and relegate GT to the annals of non-canonhood at the same time.
Still kinda odd kami ended up making two sets of dragon Balls, but its kinda like yin and yang the black stars set deactivated when he and piccolo are split and reactivate when he and piccolo are one
Actually it was? Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z explain Kami and Piccolo's past. GT actually does explain the black star Dragon Balls, and Piccolo chooses to remain dead so that they can never be used again.
He got sent to heaven after choosing to stay behind when earth was evacuating. Later in super 17 saga he ended up in hell only so he could help goku escape
...Which kind of breaks the preceeding lore of DB, since the Nameless Namekian had to separate from his evil side to _become_ the guardian of Earth (i.e., Kami) in the first place. Another cool concept that GT introduced that fell flat on its execution. I will never not be mad at how GT was so close to being peak, yet just wasn't.
Actually i just assumed that myself. In reality we don't know when he created them exactly, it was never said in the anime or any official source that he made them upon becoming the guardian of earth. It's a mistake i did and I apologise for the misinformation. I did more research after and here is a possible explanation: we know that the nameless namekian kept training for 30 years in order to seperat from his evil side and finally become the guardian of earth. Age 731: the nameless one offered to be the guardian of earth but he was rejected by his predecessor due to his evil side. AGE 761: the nameless one succeeded to seperate himself into kami and piccolo after 30 years of hard training. and since splitting is a namekian ability that he never knew about but he ended up learning in those 30 years, it could be safe to conclude that he learned and discovered more of his namekian capabilities, including the ability to craft dragon balls (Dragon clan magic). He could have crafted these dragon balls almost like a prototype which explains their unpractical use. They show his desire to show power, his unacceptance to give abundantly without a cost and a merciless acountibility following its use.

That shenron is a plot hole. Kami's dragonballs became inert when he fused with Picollo. Kami ceased to exist, thus any dragonballs he created, whole or unwhole, ceased to exist. That's why Dende had to become the new Kami. GT is fanfiction.
Black Star Dragonballs are different from the classic Red Star Dragonballs, thus the Dragons within them are also different. How is this a difficult concept to grasp?
So here's a plot hole I want someone to explain. How is it that the Shadow Dragons exist? They are x-rated from Earth's Drsgon balls, NOT the Blackstar balls but even then, Kami created them then once he merged with Piccolo they become Inert until Dende who makes so much upgrades that wouldn't Shenron be a different Dragon technically. And depending on the source Eis Shenron's wish was the wish to undo the damage caused by King Piccolo or the wish for Majin Buu, if it's the Latter that wish took place with Dende's Dragon Balls. Again if Dende made enough changes for Shenron not to be the same person then 2/7 of the Dragon's shouldn't even exist due to their wishes being on Dende's Drsgon Balls. The 7th Dragon was made from the wish to undo the damage caused by Majin Vegeta, again on Dende's balls
So this can be treated as a plot hole only if you have preassumptions about the dragon balls mechanism of discharging negative energy, which of course we have no official information about it except what were given in the show. The actual mechanism: The wishes create a resistance to the natural flow of time and space, as a result it creates negative energy that stays dormant inside their respective dragon balls. however, time is still enough to purify that accumulated negative energy, but since earthlings made the dragon radar technology, dragon balls were sought and used more frequently which disturbed the purification process. This latter led to a set of dragon balls that are oversaturated by negative energy which manifested the black smoke Shenron. You are saying that: since dende made a different set version of the earth dragon balls, then the negative energy that is resulted from the previous wishes should be already discharged (vanished) and so the drawbacks can be avoided. Of course this is incorrect. He just made some changes, he didn't recreate them. Remaking another version of the dragon ball set doesn't eliminate the negative energy that it was accumulated in it, or else the old-man kaioshin would have suggested remaking dragon balls to avoid their drawbacks. Instead he advised them to avoid using the dragon balls altogether. Where do you think that negative energy will go to? It cannot be eliminated like a computer file, it has a natural process in the dragon ball universe.
Out of all the things GT did that everybody is immediately willing to throw in the Non-cannon pile…this kinda just makes sense. Like original namekian can create the balls to begin with so of course a Positive and Negative whole creature is gonna create a dragon infinitely larger than Shenron was ever gonna be, and of course the less used, way more evil negative balls would be much smaller than Shenron but pack the bigger punch. Though I will say by proxy that makes original dude so much more powerful than anything Z ever touched on, namekian wise. Like his first attempt with both halves creating this dragon suddenly makes a dragon bigger than Purunga!?! Purunga mind you was capable of 3 wishes and was made by a supremely powerful Guru…Jesus Christ that was strong.

I don’t think that’s the story behind the black star dragon balls. If I remember correctly they were black because they were used so much and since the 7 balls were meant to take a live time to find and assemble the evil that they gathered would have time to dissipate but since bulma created the radar and finding the balls was something that could be done in a afternoon the evil built up until they were completely corrupted and the last wish released the evil dragons within the balls one of which was omega ya da ya da ya da. At least that’s what I remember but I’ll be honest it’s been almost 17 years since if actually watched DBZ/ GT or anything dragonball and I never really watched GT so I’m a bad source lol
I mean there are multiple types of Eternal Dragons or Shenrons, so color difference wasn't a big deal, just a question of is this Earth's Sheron? or a different Shenron? This definitely clears that up, that they are different Shenron. Like look at Super Shenron, that's gold in color (a bit... downgraded in name, since ultimate feels superior to super lol, but yeah still many times bigger and grander in power). I also was a bit spoiled despite trying to avoid manga spoilers, but noticed a white Shenron. Then you got Smoke Shenron that is dark blue, who says it's been ages since he was released. Which begs a question, despite using the regular Earth balls, is that Shenron different? Is that an English translation error (haven't watched GT since I was a kid, just looked up a youtube video, and haven't seen Japanese version to compare), or accurate? Sounds like it implies he existed at one point too and is separate from Green Earth Shenron too.

These dragon balls are dangerous, and they were hidden deep inside the lookout to avoid being used, why would they use it to create bigger problems which is the destruction of the planet itself after one year? Know that these dragon balls destroy the planet they are summoned in after one year. Plus we know that when piccolo fused with kami he didn't get all his memories right away. An example of that is when piccolo first met the kaioshins, he thought they are familiar but he couldn't remember them. Similarly, it could be that piccolo forgot about the black stars dragon balls, until they were used again, so he could recall their existence.
It just makes me so angry that Dragon Ball became so saiyan centric, that they forgot how powerful Kami was. If the Eternal Dragon he created is a reflection of his strength( able to destroy a planet) theres no telling how powerful he is!😊
There's a Kami in Dr. Slump, which precedes the Dragon Ball material. In that Kami looks exactly like Roshi. I know it's not the same thing, but Akira Toriyama does often like to use old redesigns of characters. Somewhat unrelated - Toei's original design for Lord Beerus (which was a muscular looking repilian) was speculated to possibly be Toei's interpretation of what the Kami of Planet Vegeta looked like.

When piccolo fused with nail, he became another namekian. as a result of that, the fusion of (piccolo+nail) and kami doesn't produce the nameless namekian, but rather it produces a new namekian that his soul is not attached to the existence of the black star dragon balls, so their reactivation is impossible.
However, I had to explain it in the video exactly like it was intended in the scenario and plot perspective.

In this video I said that the nameless namekian became the guardian of earth, crafted the black stars dragon balls then seperated into kami and piccolo. But due to me searching more about this subject after I finished uploading the video, I found out that he actually applied to become the guardian of earth but he was refused by his predecessor because of his evil side, so he kept training for the next 30 years until he made the black stars dragon Balls , then he learnt to seperat himself in order to finally become the guardian of earth.
Yeah, nevermind the 7 whole years gap where nobody noticed an extra/different set of dragon balls laying around, even when they did a world wide search for them during the buu saga

It’s just when you get ‘modern’ reboots of something these problems hit harder when they forget the source material like dumbing down a char that already had multiple training arcs that actually showed off said improvements.

Since it’s already implied Earth is a amazing place and likely treated as a perfect spot for dragon balls to be created outside of namekian’s home planet, having a single namekian on a much less populated planet able to create similar balls that not only need LESS then 7 balls, but can be used todo wishes MULTIPLE TIMES, in a single year is already an arse play.
Especially when normally the balls go inactive for a year or so to disperse bad energies and regain power from the planet.
Similar to what chaos emeralds ended up leaning into, especially as those sonic games got up to stuff like unleashed, then kinda half slapped that with sonic frontiers reinforcing they didn’t need to lock to a specific planet to function at all, likely also stating it in the comics beforehand.
Anyway, at least the black star balls had some monkey’s paw to pull a hunter x hunter to be way more potent by cursing the planet for destruction in a year to allow supposedly more potent wishes.
Course on that note because a certain trio are KIDDOS in super, does that not implied certain events in the original series occurred and part of GT so it turns into a half arse ret con with super in that regard?

because GT is TOEI fanfiction used to milk the franchise when Toriyama decided to retire from writing more Dragonball. So TOEI had the brilliant idea to make a Super Shenron to reset Goku back to a kid and just retread every single arc... but slightly different.
The Dragonball Evolution happened, and Toriyama came out of partial retirement to correct that great evil and relegate GT to the annals of non-canonhood at the same time.
Still kinda odd kami ended up making two sets of dragon Balls, but its kinda like yin and yang the black stars set deactivated when he and piccolo are split and reactivate when he and piccolo are one

Another cool concept that GT introduced that fell flat on its execution. I will never not be mad at how GT was so close to being peak, yet just wasn't.
Actually i just assumed that myself. In reality we don't know when he created them exactly, it was never said in the anime or any official source that he made them upon becoming the guardian of earth. It's a mistake i did and I apologise for the misinformation. I did more research after and here is a possible explanation:
we know that the nameless namekian kept training for 30 years in order to seperat from his evil side and finally become the guardian of earth.
Age 731: the nameless one offered to be the guardian of earth but he was rejected by his predecessor due to his evil side.
AGE 761: the nameless one succeeded to seperate himself into kami and piccolo after 30 years of hard training.
and since splitting is a namekian ability that he never knew about but he ended up learning in those 30 years, it could be safe to conclude that he learned and discovered more of his namekian capabilities, including the ability to craft dragon balls (Dragon clan magic).
He could have crafted these dragon balls almost like a prototype which explains their unpractical use.
They show his desire to show power, his unacceptance to give abundantly without a cost and a merciless acountibility following its use.
I never realized how many people never watched GT until I started reading the comments here. That's the thing about GT: everyone says it's shit, but only a few have actually watched it.
That shenron is a plot hole. Kami's dragonballs became inert when he fused with Picollo. Kami ceased to exist, thus any dragonballs he created, whole or unwhole, ceased to exist. That's why Dende had to become the new Kami. GT is fanfiction.

IMO This is why it makes sense that Piccolo got his new form from Shenron. it's his power in the first place.
So here's a plot hole I want someone to explain. How is it that the Shadow Dragons exist? They are x-rated from Earth's Drsgon balls, NOT the Blackstar balls but even then, Kami created them then once he merged with Piccolo they become Inert until Dende who makes so much upgrades that wouldn't Shenron be a different Dragon technically. And depending on the source Eis Shenron's wish was the wish to undo the damage caused by King Piccolo or the wish for Majin Buu, if it's the Latter that wish took place with Dende's Dragon Balls. Again if Dende made enough changes for Shenron not to be the same person then 2/7 of the Dragon's shouldn't even exist due to their wishes being on Dende's Drsgon Balls. The 7th Dragon was made from the wish to undo the damage caused by Majin Vegeta, again on Dende's balls
So this can be treated as a plot hole only if you have preassumptions about the dragon balls mechanism of discharging negative energy, which of course we have no official information about it except what were given in the show.
The actual mechanism: The wishes create a resistance to the natural flow of time and space, as a result it creates negative energy that stays dormant inside their respective dragon balls. however, time is still enough to purify that accumulated negative energy, but since earthlings made the dragon radar technology, dragon balls were sought and used more frequently which disturbed the purification process. This latter led to a set of dragon balls that are oversaturated by negative energy which manifested the black smoke Shenron.
You are saying that: since dende made a different set version of the earth dragon balls, then the negative energy that is resulted from the previous wishes should be already discharged (vanished) and so the drawbacks can be avoided. Of course this is incorrect. He just made some changes, he didn't recreate them.
Remaking another version of the dragon ball set doesn't eliminate the negative energy that it was accumulated in it, or else the old-man kaioshin would have suggested remaking dragon balls to avoid their drawbacks. Instead he advised them to avoid using the dragon balls altogether. Where do you think that negative energy will go to? It cannot be eliminated like a computer file, it has a natural process in the dragon ball universe.

Like original namekian can create the balls to begin with so of course a Positive and Negative whole creature is gonna create a dragon infinitely larger than Shenron was ever gonna be, and of course the less used, way more evil negative balls would be much smaller than Shenron but pack the bigger punch.

Like his first attempt with both halves creating this dragon suddenly makes a dragon bigger than Purunga!?! I don’t think that’s the story behind the black star dragon balls. If I remember correctly they were black because they were used so much and since the 7 balls were meant to take a live time to find and assemble the evil that they gathered would have time to dissipate but since bulma created the radar and finding the balls was something that could be done in a afternoon the evil built up until they were completely corrupted and the last wish released the evil dragons within the balls one of which was omega ya da ya da ya da. At least that’s what I remember but I’ll be honest it’s been almost 17 years since if actually watched DBZ/ GT or anything dragonball and I never really watched GT so I’m a bad source lol
I mean there are multiple types of Eternal Dragons or Shenrons, so color difference wasn't a big deal, just a question of is this Earth's Sheron? or a different Shenron? This definitely clears that up, that they are different Shenron. Like look at Super Shenron, that's gold in color (a bit... downgraded in name, since ultimate feels superior to super lol, but yeah still many times bigger and grander in power).
I also was a bit spoiled despite trying to avoid manga spoilers, but noticed a white Shenron. Then you got Smoke Shenron that is dark blue, who says it's been ages since he was released.
Which begs a question, despite using the regular Earth balls, is that Shenron different? Is that an English translation error (haven't watched GT since I was a kid, just looked up a youtube video, and haven't seen Japanese version to compare), or accurate? Sounds like it implies he existed at one point too and is separate from Green Earth Shenron too.
All the shenrons seemingly exist in their own realm. The dragon balls are a means to summon them.

These dragon balls are dangerous, and they were hidden deep inside the lookout to avoid being used, why would they use it to create bigger problems which is the destruction of the planet itself after one year?
Know that these dragon balls destroy the planet they are summoned in after one year. Plus we know that when piccolo fused with kami he didn't get all his memories right away.
An example of that is when piccolo first met the kaioshins, he thought they are familiar but he couldn't remember them. Similarly, it could be that piccolo forgot about the black stars dragon balls, until they were used again, so he could recall their existence.
It just makes me so angry that Dragon Ball became so saiyan centric, that they forgot how powerful Kami was. If the Eternal Dragon he created is a reflection of his strength( able to destroy a planet) theres no telling how powerful he is!😊

There's a Kami in Dr. Slump, which precedes the Dragon Ball material. In that Kami looks exactly like Roshi. I know it's not the same thing, but Akira Toriyama does often like to use old redesigns of characters. Somewhat unrelated - Toei's original design for Lord Beerus (which was a muscular looking repilian) was speculated to possibly be Toei's interpretation of what the Kami of Planet Vegeta looked like.
