    I like the animation, but Croc looks too...inhuman for the Nolanverse. It's just a skin condition...a real one, I believe. It wouldn't shock me if there was. They can play up his durability as they like, but the blazing red eyes and huge teeth aren't needed. If he filed his teeth, they would be fairly small.
    Fight should have lasted longer too, with Croc hiding in tunnels, crouching down like the animal he thinks he is...Batman trying to determine the location, but his snarls echo in the darkness, making it hard to pin point. The fear toxin in his veins only making it worse...that would have been fantastic.

    • @lulu1night4ever
      @lulu1night4ever 9 лет назад +55

      Bluesit32 That's why this isn't for the Nolanverse, this film has numerous eps where it showcases each animation directors personal POV of what Batman is and how his world functions. Croc has no mental discipline therefore the toxin drove him crazy, making him more reckless. Throughout the series, Batman has fought scarecrow and in instances, he's been able to withstand 4x the normal dosage.

      Bluesit32 dude Croc did have a skin condition in the movie, but hints were given here and there that the whole sewer was full of Helucenation gas, so my money goes on the fact that batman saw Croc, but the gas amplified the dreadful appearence

      @AFanOfCinema 9 лет назад +26

      Epidermal hyperkeratosis actually is a real skin condition, but it usually makes a few spots of scaly appearances instead of what Killer Croc. Only in rare cases can it affect most of the body, like one of my english professors in college, who had it almost covering all four of her limbs and her lower neck. It may look stange, but it keep her from sweating, which really comes in handy as she's living in Alabama.

      FFaruqi1 i feel you, but im personally kinda tired of the whole "grounded" angle or at least the removal of the fantastical elements in superhero stuff. Its a great take and all but it can get kind of annoying, especially when the characters arent as cool as they could be due to "reality". Superpowers and powered beings can be included and still retain that noir feel. I personally think the Arkham games got it right the most out of any Batman adaptation ever. The villains and their powers and the gadgets and stuff were there, and even the other heroes like Supes are explicitly said to exist in that world, but it still kept everything dark and suspenseful. Perfect balance of fantasy and reality imo

    I like the idea of people like killer croc still exist in the nolan universe but they give it a real life explanation except people with that skin condition wouldn't be as strong as him realistically in most circumstances

    I really love how animation enables us to depict Batman as a supernatural entity: to the untrained eye, his quick movement and long cloak appear to be a shadowy mass moving at ghost like speed.

    Originally, croc was born with his mutation, causing the death of his mother. He became part of a traveling circus, where wrestled crocodiles, and was teased by kids when he was young, eventually making him snap.
