Then 4 years later when Beautiful Collision came out, that got me through the hard times at uni. I remember I went to your gig in Brixton, must’ve been about 2003/04. I went on my own which was a big deal for me back then. It meant so much to hear these songs live. Thanks Bic, you got this London boy through a lot, and still do x

This takes me back to a Friday night 1996, being 17, and mad about a girl that I sat in the backseat of a car with on a drive home after a school social when I first heard this song. I had to pay my mate gas money to drive her home so I could spend more time with her after meeting her that night, and although it only lasted a single summer into my last year of high school, the song will always reminds me of that time. Ironically, we ran into each other and our 30s at one of Bic’s gigs after not seeing each other for nearly two decades. we obviously moved on and had entire lives, but it was nice to reconnect and chat even just for that one night.
