    Thank you Mr. Steve. Gonna do a 3 hole on my Low Rider S . They want like $350 bucks for a service at the dealer. I have the factory softail manual and I can do the rest. Easy peasy.

    great video! straight to the point! . however I just have one question. My softail is at 5000 miles. Do I need to change the primary and transmission fluid? The owners manual says at 10k miles to do the primary lubricant. And 20k to do the transmission lubricant. Would it hurt to change the primary and transmission and engine oil all at once with only 5000 miles?

    • @KnobleMoto
      @KnobleMoto  6 месяцев назад +1

      It’s would not hurt anything to change the oil more often. Plus it’s only 1 quart each, so why not?

    • @KnobleMoto
      @KnobleMoto  6 месяцев назад +1

      Also there is way too much clutch material in the primary oil to wait that long for a change IMO.

    • @dinhzil
      @dinhzil 6 месяцев назад +1

      @@KnobleMoto I agree. I was just afraid that I would be changing it too soon due to some sort of “break in” period lol.

    Im about to change my primary and my transmission on my 21 low rider s. My book says 32oz wet for primary and 28oz for the transmission. This is my first harley i bought and my first time doing it. Do i put a full qaurt in my transmission or do i follow the book and do 28oz

    • @KnobleMoto

    • @tjslattery8386
      @tjslattery8386 Год назад +2

      @@KnobleMoto that's what I ended up doing. I was always taught it's a good habit to replace O rings and gaskets every time they're removed. 28 Oz for the transmission was a little low so I just through the rest of the bottle in and it measured out fine

    Just to confirm,all three locations take the same oil? I’m about to change my oil for the first time on my first motorcycle (22 Lowrider S). Any chance you can list the tools used, or tools necessary to complete the project?

    • @KnobleMoto

      I use bell ray non synthetic in the primary and amsoil UTV trans oil in the trans. 28oz in trans around 32oz in primary. Full synthetic seems to slip the clutch on built m8s. It does not share the same qt oil...
