    One of my favorite shoulder workouts hands down. Personally I find the 3x15 standing press the most challenging yet I gain the most from that section. Anyone feel or get the same??

    Brilliant work out, just what I was looking for. My shoulders burn out really quickly especially when surfing so this is going to help with the endurance as well, I've also found my shoulders ( front delts) have loosened off after this, I also found the Tabata at the end made me want to cry and I was only on 4kg ha ha ha

    This guy was talking a lot about form but he was swinging in a lot of these workouts and using momentum.

    The hang clean is a big waste of time for shoulders IMO. That movement is all momentum, you don't get enough paced Concentric and eccentric movement. You get a very quick movement and then it is all momentum.

    • @joebelmont7337

      Very true,I agree,for bodybuilding,but he did say this workout was built around power,strength,and endurance.

    • @nickbadry4122

      The hang clean is an athletic movement works fast twitch fibers. Athletes use that movement.

      @@nickbadry4122 It still a VERY random exercise to include in a video about shoulder workout.

      Gives you the ability to scrap it. It's an explosive movement though.

    pressing overhead without dumbbell I wouldn't try it it is going to put so much stress on my lower back if I press my max and if I try it without lower weight it will not feel right i prefer barebell overhead press more stable and less stress

  • @CarbonsHDTuts
    @CarbonsHDTuts 7 лет назад

    I remember reading a study that time under tension has no significant effect on hypertrophy. I thought an IFBB pro would know something like this ?

    • @paulschutte8986
      @paulschutte8986 7 лет назад +2

      Curls Before Girls thats Not true. Its all about tension. For Most lifters its easier to progress with normal form. You have to drop the weight significantly. If you perform 8 reps on bench press with 225lbs its of course much easier than performing a time under tension set same weight and reps. This also means more stress for the muscle with TUT.

    Hi, can you give me some advice on what one would call the ultimate workout to gain muscle mass, i am roughly 157lb?

    • @allenmeresi4822
      @allenmeresi4822 7 лет назад

      A good tip - get into a split routine setup with reverse pyramid training with a focus on getting your strength up and not focusing on a high rep count. Not sure of your exact statistics, but steady strength gains will allow for optimal muscle growth.

    • @donluchitti

      Hmm. Is that because w a total body routine, 3 or 4x a week for a novice it IS enough to stimulate growth but for an intermediate, you're not generally getting as much volume on each muscle grp required for growth w/ a full bdy routine?
