I love the moment of weakness Carla has right before she dies. She was so focused on getting her children to safety but the moment they left she asked not to be left behind. It was a great touch by the writer and really showed how “human” her character was in such a short time.

I'm so thankful that you're starting to see this anime as it was meant to be seen, with subtitles. The magic of the anime is definitely the quality of the soundtrack that is felt in its original audio and not to mention the power of the voice actors to create authentic emotions in the most dramatic moments, that is something that definitely no dubbing manages to do in a way successful. I've seen anime with dubbing and it is horrible, especially this anime that has voice actors that without mistake I can assure you that they will be world-class. In my case, as I already know anime, I can say that the voice actor of Eren Yuuki Kaji) is my favorite voice actor of all time, his voice is simply from another world and thanks to the fact that you are watching this anime with its original audio, you will be able to understand what I am talking about, the voice, the agony, the despair, the screams, the crying, all his performance is just perfect. one of my favorite hobbies is finding channels reacting to this show and following their journey. its not perfect but oh my god are you guys in for a ride. this show has some of the most insane twists and reveals ive ever seen. the story has so many layers its like you have absolutely no grasp of the true overall bigger picture until wayyy down the line. it also has gorgeous animation, awesome fights/action, and some of the best music ive heard. i genuinely put lots of moments from this show up there with like peak Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad. The only thing is the show doesnt hit that peak level until the second half, just enjoy the ride
I've watche AOT about a dozen times now and there are still moments in the first episode that make me choke up and start the water works 😂it don't get easier yo - I'm so glad to see it's affecting you, that feeling is going to stay with you and make the whole rest of this story even more amazing!

The show is set in kind of a german culture I think. The walls were based off this city in Germany. I'm so excited for you guys!!! Season 1 I personally found hard to get through at certain points, but then season 2 it got better, and then season 3 it got even better, and then season 4 it was just like whoa. So nice to have you guys join us on this wild ride! you won't regret getting into attack on titan. it's one of the (if not THE) best animes out there. it has so many foreshadowings, so many so that you'd still be finding details you missed on your 5th and 6th rewatch. its rewatch value is absurdly high. I've lost count how many AOT reaction vids I've seen yet I still choke up at this first episode. Be sure to pause the video if you need to say something because you WILL miss important details. If I were you, I'd even take notes because later on the worldbuilding expands and there are so many things to keep track off. It's like Game of Thrones where you have so many characters with their own agendas and motives and so many secret plans and plots are being concocted. So if you want, you should take notes or write down some details you deemed important after watching each episode. Also, some episodes are better watched one after another for a more coherent story, so for example, instead of watching one episode a day, you could watch episode 2 and 3 in one setting and put them in one video (just an example). AOT is an emotional series so don't hold back on your emotions. We want to see it. Excited for more.
