R.I.P. Mr. Beck 😢. January 12, 2023. You will be missed by any and all fans of your extraordinary talent and ethereal level of guitar work. I followed you for decades and will continue to through my life. 😢🇨🇦
This sound is amazingly fresh. His playing, well it’s a unique voice on the guitar, sho holds yr interest. Really heavy at the end. They used to call the blues “the devil’s”. John Lee Hooker was not aloud to play a guitar. Beck’s keeping something vital alive
It doesn’t matter WHO Jeff is playing..... ALL EYES FOCUS ON THE DEITY ON GUITAR Jeff is SO GOOD he can play with ANYBODY!!!! (must be nice huh??) (Michael is SUCH A MUSICAL DRUMMER though!!!)
When I was high school boy, I bought the album "Wired" for "Led boots". And I found it to be a very fusion-like album, which led me to get into jazz and fusion as well. In that sense, this song is a masterpiece that greatly influenced my musical tastes.
I went through a phase of playing Jazz Standards. It was some tough material to learn. I haven't been doing it for a while. I like it, but rock and fusion are my favorite two. There's really a trick to learning how to play Jazz. Fusion takes more feel. Jeff had under appreciated feel. He put so much emotion into it, and that's what made him become so famous. We can just HEAR his style which is virtually impossible to mimic and get exactly right!
@@alessandromatteini1410 Beck and Page have been close friends since the 60's. Beck gave Page a guitar which was influential in the formation of Led Zepplin. ultimateclassicrock.com/jimmy-page-jeff-beck-meeting/

Led Boots is a personal favorite of mine. Narada Michael Walden is just a beast here! On the kit! Got to meet him in Santa Rosa CA. It was him and Steve Smith playing together. Dual drummers! w/Tommy Castro, & Brad Gillis & Mike Carabello. My band opened for this gig! It was alot of fun watching Steve & Narada just kicking butt! Never forget that night!
Finally there one person who have ears !!! Despite we don’t see the chorus of the keyboardist we can appreciate his work !! Clavinet,Rhodes or similar and synthesizer !!! 👍👍👍
I get crap from wearing pants with them rolled up, I know I'm a little late to the party but, no it's because they are too long. Jeff is the man, 1980 There & Back was my first album & that is exactly what I did go back and buy albums of when I was 10 or 5 years old. That is a good judge, if it makes you dig backward, thats some good music.
They should've called it "There and Beck" ;) If there was more of a Tolkien theme maybe I'd have understood the original title haha (The Hobbit: There and Back Again)....
this is fucking awesome! I can not decide if I like Rhonda or Tal better… Rhonda is funkier and more balls to the wall. The Keyboard player is just SICK!! wow!!
As much as I love Jeff Beck, it bugs me that it took over three minutes before the cameramen decided to zoom in on the keyboard player who had already been trading licks back and forth with Jeff.
I'd say whenever players get a opportunity to be around greatness they'd jump, JB has always been the best but it actually seems as though he is enjoying himself nowadays. As a lifelong fan he didn't seem he was enjoying himself, most likely the record companies were difficult for JB since he did what he liked, hard to categorize his music into mainstream channels. I heard him say his last RC was thrilled to be a party to anything he put his name on and whatever he needed was his, so now he does whatever he likes, which somehow seems to always sound different even though it's just a tune without vocals. Someone singing over his brilliance would be criminal. Can't believe he hasn't been knighted yet, come on Britain WTF
I'd go out on a small limb and wager that they were small box fifties/JTM 45/1987 on the top and 100 watt 1959's underneath. All plexiglass face reissues, with probably greenback checkerboard bottoms.
what do i think I think you like this also that's what i think but maybe i really like this jam is really nice I just was blown away by this guys sound when i first heard him in 2010 i think? Anyway i like : )
I don't know what it is I just went through a we could listening to Jeff stuff with a band from Ronnie Scott's. It makes this set up a little bit harder to listen to
+Tara Thysell That's Narada Michael Walden. He is a terrific drummer but I personally think he's slowed down a bit as he's gotten older. He used to be a drummer for Mahavishnu Orchestra for a while, Holdsworth, Beck's "Wired" album, etc.
bolinoid no...not slowed up, slowed down :) you SPEED up and SLOW down :) but he has his moments, I'm just very partial to Vinnie Colaiuta's drumming for Jeff Beck. He seems to have a lot more energy and a lot more going which I like. What Narada brings to the table is some soul, some very well thought out hits on the kit, and more of a background supporting drummer rather than Colaiuta being up front as much as Beck. My opinion, of course :)
sorry I have to say it because I love Jeff Beck but this song does nothing for me. Nada Zilch. Squat. Wow Jeff you are human after all. for once you failed to wow a simple human being like me

Jan 10 actually😢
Well said - praise God for this gift and kind of genuine artistry. I believe Jeff knew Jesus, yet where’s the word of testimony?
I feel like a kid when I listen to Jeff Beck. Everything is always new and original.
Right? How’s he manage that?

All the tones of the studio track. Destroyer of worlds
Jeff is amazing.... NARADA.......one of the greatest drummers of all time.
Agreed. This sounds so much better with Narada as compared to when Vinnie was playing with JB at Ronnie Scotts.
@@pbaker7160 I wouldn’t say better.... JUST DIFFERENT APPROACH
Michael is more MELODY driven than Vinnie THE MACHINE……, (WHO’S INCREDIBLE AS WELL)
Well, I love Narada’s recording of this one, but I don’t think he’s doing it justice here. Sounds lame and unfocused 😳😅
@@pbaker7160 😂😂😂
Michael Waldren on drums & Jeff Beck on guitar...,a combination that can't

Jeff Beck makes anything with her guitar! Amazing
JB is on my Mount Rushmore of guitar players who hail from across the pond.

Hammerhead is an absolute favourite of mine. I turn it on my car every time I go for a pleasure ride.
Jeff Beck and John McLaughlin, the only two 60's guitarists that still hold up and excel today.
AMEN! Both on my top ten fav of all time too!
I'm so sorry you've never heard of Jimmy Page. Give him a listen. He played with Led Zeppelin among others.
@@alessandromatteini1410 Not a big fan. Of course Led Zep were a great band.

well said. Beck does have a "unique voice" Many can play faster or more technical but Beck has a unique touch that makes him special.
Narada is a monster. Sounds amazing.
what a band ... my hero lives on for ever
The Maestro.....nuff said. Peace
R.I.P master Jeff Beck
Jeff is the standard...the rest follow
A great JB vieo I haven't seen before. Thank You so much.
Who needs a vocalist when the guitar does all the singing

He looked so freakin hot in black. Gorgeous guitar beast.❤ So sorely missed 😢

This is when Jeff decided that a hungry dog had a better sound.

Yeah it's whoever edited this. You can see in some shots there are multiple cameras and probably lots of footage of him
Lucky to see he was even there in the first place.
Probably just too blown away to concentrate on his job!

..Narada Michael Walden on drums..✌️✌️...
This is JEFF BECK. I want to see him play guitar,, not back shots of the drummer, etc. The idiots who make this stuff need to realize that
Then buy a ticket & go see him 😂

Whomever the drummer is, he cannot begin to match Narada Micheal Walden on LED BOOTS.
Funny Laugh.
Look at the credits
Drummer seems tired.. dragging.. something??
don't like rhonda. tal is much better..
I want to say yes.
Tal is a good player but I don't care much for her soft style of playing. I prefer Rhonda's style.
I don’t dislike Rhonda, but I agree that Tal is just a phenomenal musician. Far and away my favourite Bass guitarist...
Tal is not as heavy or funky, but she has that solo lyricism....trade offs
