Welcome back to a brand new video, this time no Touristenfahrten, but some of the new prototypes testing during Industry Pool on the Nurburgring Nordschleife. One car a lot of people are looking forward to is the brand new 2025 Corvette ZR1 biturbo which was out testing this week. This car is going to be an absolute monster by the looks of it, shooting flames and sounding insane even with extra exhaust mufflers. This means in stock form, the car is louder than the 130db Nurburgring noise limit which is insane! Let me know which car you are looking forward to the most in the comment section below!

The new ZR1 and the GT3RS looked like they were on rails so smooth and that rimac looked like a handful

True. And we must remember every car has its limit, and many people push the limit sometimes beyond what the tires will handle, so it is trial and error. Even that 911 slid around, but 911 is known for sticking very well. Depends on driver, how hot or cold tires are and also how hard they push it in corners compared to its limit.

4:50 the flame out the exhaust makes me think its got a crazy traction control system on it
perhaps an anti-lag system. Squirt a little fuel in to keep the turbine running full speed? EDIT: Actually you may be right, later on around 15 mins you can hear it mid corner cutting the ignition or the timing. It kinda sounds a bit like the old RedBull F1 cars with the blown diffuser.
I love how Mercedes puts that camo wrap on the GWagon to hide its deatils or whatever like we don't know that it looks exaclty the same as the last one ☠
Get a feeling that TT C8 is going to upset a lot of more expensive brands....

@@thepetrolman4879 i dunno man, the current Z06 challenges the GT3RS on the track. This TT C8 is a monster.

@@SkylineGTR_VRC Well tbf, the GT3RS is a fairly low hp trackcar and they always have been towards that way, the C8 ZO6 still has pretty good downforce but about 150 more hp than the GT3RS. the GT2RS will probably have 750+ is my guess given the last one had 690 and they probably want to knock it out of the park with the GT2RS
Flames coming out of the ZR1 on acceleration makes me wonder if they're using spark cut traction control... that would be insane

@calvinkarara7224 a fuel dump to possibly cool cylinder Temps down. Could've been a real quick blip under throttle and it ignited when coming back on throttle.
They already do a combination of spark/fuel tcs in combination with brake intervention in their current performance cars. Just listen to a C6 ZR1 try to floor it out of a corner it makes that brrrtttt sound.

You can reallly tell that that Rimac is a heavy boy, just understeered out of Karrousel
Thats one of the main drawbacks with modern EV "sports cars" they can dump 1000 hp in them and make em fast as shit in a straight line, but with modern battery technology they are weighed down by massively heavy batteries that make them handle like dogs. I think it was the idea guy behind lotus that used the philosophy when designing all their legendary classics. Something along the lines of high hp only allows you to accelerate faster, whereas lightweight not only increases acceleration but deceleration and handling as well.

Are Lamborghini (and maybe Porsche) the only manufacturers testing cars that actually make any sound these days ?? Everything else sounds of boring tyre squealing under steer 😢

And every car that is homoligated for 2024 has to deal with the issue that valve controlled exhaust systems are forbidden

8:27 Love this part. Setting the camera to 30fps for this section made it feel more fast-paced/action-y. 30fps with a 1/50th shutter or 50fps (not 60) with a 1/60th shutter are ideal. They'll also film universally in any country without street lights/interior flickering (only those specific combos, and a couple others like 25p 1/40th or 1/60th, though). If you must do 60fps, do it at 1/60th so you have more accurate/realistic motion blur instead of the 180-degree "rule" which will tank your motion blur and make things look uncanny.
60fps 1/60th isn't the best for night shots in a PAL country, though, because the power lines (and therefore lights) will flicker at a 50h frequency. Which is why I suggest 30fps since you can do 1/50th shutter speed and counter that, or 50fps with 1/60th shutter speed which also counters it. Basically, EITHER your frame rate or shutter SPEED (not angle, angle is trash) has to be an even divisible of 2x the country's power line frequency to be anti-flicker.
So my shorthand for filming is always 30fps 1/50th for a balanced cinematic but smooth look, 25fps 1/40th or 1/60th for the traditional "choppy" but aesthetic movie look, or 50fps 1/60th for a lifelike realistic (but potentially boring) look. This is all assuming the footage will be in a matching editing timeline and played back at normal speed. There are other rules/tips, but if I make this comment any longer, well...

It’s a modern tech thing to signify heavy breaking, and as anyone who might be doing that..probably a niche.

I think the ZR1 is just going to be a zo6 with the front electric drive. would save GM money and we all know how they like to piss off the customer base to save a buck. Either that, or that was the C8.R being tested before daytona next year
ZR1 will be a new TT V8 setup and then they'll be releasing a top trim "ZORA" model with the hybrid system + tt V8 in it
some are saying it'll have close to 1000hp we shall see how wild these cars get

Of all the cars that were featured in this video, the Porsche gt3rs looks very impressive and the turns looked very sharp and naturally. The off road Lamborghini huracan looked a wee bit silly, would like to see how it handles off road. Corvettes don’t look American anymore, coming from a guy who sees them everyday. Wish they could have stayed traditional but man they are adapting pretty well 🫠 all in all, I’m glade I watched this video, cool to see where these cars stand on the green hell.
