Pls note: Rimac is a car company fast car records enthusiast know of by now.
Porsche only has to make a road legal variant of their Porsche 919 Evo Hybrid and Koenigssegg and Rimac would have no chance unless they try to build a car that corners as well. Power without control (cornering) is destined to loose on race tracks. Downforce, grip, braking and cornering speed are way more important than pure power
As much as i respect Rimac cars, tuned ICE cars still annihilate the Nevera. An AMS GTR Alpha Omega does 0-60 in 1.49 seconds (Nevera in 1.85) and quarter mile in 7.49 seconds (Nevera in 8.52). And the AMS costs 8 times less than the Nevera.
Who's next? Porsche... Up until Mercedes AMG One their 911 GT2, Manthey racing had the production car record for some time. And it seems they've been alternating with other brands. Absolute record still belongs to Porsche (919 Hybrid Evo)

To be honest I think the Jesko won't be able to beat the GT3 RS MR time and that's why we will never see the Jesko on the ring. A possible defeat will lower it's value immensely. Horse power and lightness are not enough - Koenigsegg lacks expertise on the track, it is a brand that competes in the Bugatti area, meaning top speed and luxury.
1:35 Basseng also crashed this car (either right after Pflanzgarten or in Bellof Esses), trying to improve the lap time. It had started raining towards the end of the lap and instead of aborting it, he wanted to finish the lap. He lost control and the car bounced from one guardrail to the other and had damage all over. It was also a pretty special car, being the first ever Koenigsegg with tinted naked carbon body. It had standard wing and CCX Edition wheels. According to EVO magazine, it had 4.7 L engine with 900 PS, but they could have gotten this wrong and it was really a 4.8 L, not sure. The owner must have been cursing ever agreeing to lend his car for this test. They've had nothing but bad luck on the track since then.
The latest Gordan Murray car would be interesting to see on the track. Of course his goal was to make the car that is the most engaging and most fun to drive, which doesn't necessarily make it fastest on the track. It'd still be interesting to see how the most fun car compares to the most track focused car. And it's half the weight. Should do pretty well regardless.
@@captain_context9991 ironically, his Mcclaren F1 was not built to set records either yet when tested, at the request of a customer, it turned out to be the fastest car ever made at the time. @@donutwindy Yes. Its also worth noting that you cannot legally make that kind of cars today. Its got NONE of the modern standards for safety that are required today. @@captain_context9991 His new cars even with the safety features are even lighter. I don't know how, it's a miracle that other cars can learn from. I've driven a 2000lb car, and the light and tossable quality you get cannot be replicated in a heavier car. I'm just curious as to how well it would do. We'll probably never find out. And what if you did add a supercharger? So many questions. I'll never own any of them and I'm not turning down a Porsche or Koenigsegg if one appears in my driveway, I just have a soft spot for light cars. Because you can't even find a 2000lb car anymore. Speed limit on that track is stupid considering the fact that youd have to implement that based on the worst aerodynamic car with awful weight distribution and bad center of gravity just to be effective. Then at that point, it limits the purpose of the track, which is to act as a NASCAR (true roots of NASCAR and not the donut of a race we see now). It helps create cars with interesting designs that is not only quick on a lot of road conditions but efficient at it
Nurburgring will likely be dominated by an all wheel drive electric. Likely, by a Tesla or a Lucid. Shifting a transmission creates torque pulses, which can cause loss of traction, and, transition losses, which negates some of the horsepower produced by the engine. A shiftless electric power train applies its power much more smoothly, allowing a higher AVERAGE horsepower to be applied, resulting in faster times. A combustion car could do it, with a very advanced all wheel drive system and a continuously variable transmission. (good luck putting ~1,600 horsepower into a push belt!)
Why are we talking about mph one time then km/h the other? Koenisegg is europian Germany and the track (Nordschleife) is also. Speak metrik and talk km/h please.
You are about 2-3 months late with that comment… Rimac has the production EV lap record at Nurburgring atm.. but that EV time is pretty slow (07:05) and the fastest petrol/hybrid production car is AMG ONE with 06:35!
The speed limits at the Nordschliefe make setting records for production cars pointless now at that track. That Nissan's under tray was flat with no way for air to flow upwards through a fenders something WEC cars have implemented in their prototype race cars to prevent lift. The people at Nordschliefe could have implemented that rule letting cars with that mod go full speed but oh well. Nordschliefe records don't matter now. Gonna have to pick another track for the standard.
I love how you included clips from forza horizon 4 and forza motorsport 7 in your video, nice touch 👌 on the subject of the nurburgring, I don't believe it matters all that much, i mean yes it's a great marketing exercise but what does it prove exactly? Car manufacturers choose factory race drivers, choose the day with the perfect weather and even take into consideration wind speed and direction for optimal downforce and even tweak the suspension and aero sometimes.. they create the perfect conditions for the perfect lap time which is something impossible to do with the same car on a touristenfahrten session. Btw great video keep up the good work.
But when everybody waits for the perfect weather and tweaks the car for the ring, they all drive within the same conditions. This makes it comparable to other cars and shows wich is the quickest. Also for touristenfahrten i think there are speed limits you have to follow
Those eggs were on old tyres when attempting lap times and they are not even track focused, the lap times are impressive. Also i dont want to be that guy but porsche is pronounced wrong.
my only experience of the Nordschleife come from Gran Turismo 4. So, I will just express some simple facts. 1) Nordschleife is the real life daily road, we talk about roads around us except highways. 2) achieve a 7;20 lap running road legal tyres on this track is an athletic exercise 3) and last, when you accept that road legal tyres are the limit on this track, you've got to admit that 11oo hp /1200 kgs are the limits for this track. More power or less weight determines a car on road legal tyres who cannot approach its limits of this track. Koenigsegg or equals banned on the Ring ? ok, right. Please, make the difference @Laguna Seca or @Infineon Raceway or others tracks ready to accept Fast cars on fast n technical tracks. Driving fast and dangerously is too easy on The Nurb for cars close to 1100hp/1200kgs.

Frist…even being a petrolhead myself - also owning a sportscar (not a hypercar), I am convinced of the fact that this hoursepower madness between manufactorers is now way too much. You can’t even use it. It is too much for normal roads. It is not fun to have a 1000 HP car, and not even being able to do 2nd or even just 1st gear flat out, before you loose your licens. Doing 350 at the Autobahn is not fun - that is crazy. The hypercars are the reason why German politicians are considering limiting the whole Autobahn to 130. Why not stick to the 250 km/h limit? Do one need 350 km/h risking to provoke the 130-limitation…??!! You can find plenty of speed and fun in the range of 0-250 also in the bends. The hoursepower competition is going out of hand - seems like to be a competition between men with small d…s. They are missing the point - it is all about the doing, not the size.
My brother!, their least track focused car (Regera) obliterated a Senna and a BAC Mono, wich are dedicated track cars, by a full second in a small circuit (Ring Knutstorp). The One:1 with 70% of its full power held the record at Spa for years. Average Koenigsegg can stand in 2.0 gs of lateral grip, to compare this, a brand new 911 GT3RS, arguably one of the best track cars ever, stands at 1.4 max grip. So no! Every Koenigsegg is good at cornering. And those are older cars, let alone a Jesko Attack and god forbiden if they ever make a LM car. They could even pull off a family hypercar that beats most 2 seater cars in the apex. So you're very wrong about that.
What are you talking about? Koenigsegg one:1 broke records all around the world spa fastest production car for 3 years, still has the Suzuka circuit record for fastest production car!
I want to see the T.50 take on the Nurburgring. Let's see if this "power to weight ratio" king could break the track record. It will be Gordon Murray's ultimate test.
I don't think the German car-makers will relinquish the record without a fight, and we can't forget about Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Pagani, not to mention Bugati, if they are ever allowed to run unrestricted with a F1 driver.
Well a lot of mishaps throughout the years is either the drivers the egg has need to be a little better or the car is way too expensive and not to par. Those years when they had speed limits could have easily beaten the ones that did do good at that time with their respective cars. Lots of excuses imo. I'll believe it when I see it. Peace.
Mmmm..... Not about the horsepower or the speed..... but can you put that power down on the tarmac, traction, handling, cornering, mechanical grip, downforce, durability!!! It as about that perfect balance!!! Porsche GT3 RS has that perfect balance!!!
Koenigsegg really focused on every detail with the Jesko, to make it great on downforce, grip, cornering and so on. And for the time attack they would balance it out even more. So it is definitely worth trying to attack the time of the Amg one. Manthey Racing GT3 RS is even better for the ring :)

Too fast to be allowed a shot at the record because of imposed speed limits? There's a simple solution that puts everyone on the same page. Make the present record holders rerun the Ring with the same speed limits imposed on them, and if they fail or refuse, take away their record.
Well it proves that Speed doesn't win all races. The car is fast but it becomes uncontrollable in certain parts of the course. multiple crashes has already proven that

@@taidee Think about this. With the 150mph limiter on the McMurtry at Goodwood, they beat the Porsche 919 Hybrid EVO's record, and the 919 has the Nurburing record of 5:19. What do you think?
Powerful and light don't necessarily mean fast on a track. Koenigsegg has 0 track experience. BTW One:1 is slower than the Pagani Huayra BC in sector 1 of Spa where it should excel because of the long straights, so I doubt Koenigsegg will be even close to AMG One/AMG GT BS/991 GT2RS's times.

And if by any chance another car company makes any claim to a fast car record, for people that know by now.
It’s because Koenigsegg or Rimac haven’t competed.
AMG. and Koenigsegg
Both!!!!❤❤
i dont think they were ever banned, just unfortunate and a bit overconfidence from drivers, its the green hell for a reason
Who's next? Porsche... Up until Mercedes AMG One their 911 GT2, Manthey racing had the production car record for some time. And it seems they've been alternating with other brands. Absolute record still belongs to Porsche (919 Hybrid Evo)
919 in unreal
After seeing the post of the Jesko beating a record on another track and only pushing the car to 75% I have no doubt in my mind that the Jesko can beat the nürbürgring record. I think the Valkyrie amr pro and the Bolide might have a good chance too.
It was only on pump gas, too, not even e85, so there's a lot more in the car. I can't wait to see it 🎉
... and the T.50.
which track was it?
@@junedmomin2106 the Gotland ring, it’s posted on Koenigsegg’s YT channel. Here’s the link though. ruclips.net/video/Pf6mSlzcq3A/видео.htmlsi=Rq3u6oW9xcn1VvP_
Oh you mean the track where all other laps where customers on track days? Very impressive
Koenigsegg IS the best... They don't need to price anything. If you know, you know.
They are good cars for the airfield, the overall usage apart from this is pretty limited. Why they never broke any records in SPA, Hockenheim, Laguna Seca?
They have a lap record on the Gotland ring🙌🏼
@@CarClique2000 But who else was attempting a record on the Gotland ring? Don‘t get me wrong but it’s something different having a record on the mentioned tracks (or at least coming close) - especially Nordschleife..
"Or should we say, the meeth of it."
No, you shouldn't say that.
yeah wtf lmao
Speed is one thing. Turning a corner is another! 😂
Yep, you'd have to lay down rubber cement around the corners.
Jesko Attack has 1000 kg of downforce, I think It'll handle the corners.
As much as I love aerospace engineering it has got me close to cars then planes .
And koenigsegg is the perfect example.
All the other car makers too it's just beauty.
Speed limits do not matter if you hire the track to set a record.
You can't do a record attempt when it's open to the public.
That is indeed impossible cause you have a lot of unexperienced drivers on the tourist drives + there would be to much traffic on the circuit!
Its a pure myth that Koenigsegg is banned from the Nürburgring. Even the mentiones speed limits of course only apply for "Touristenfahrten", so for public driving. But if a company rent the ring, like Porsche did with their 919 Tribute, than of course they can go as fastest they want.
NR is not limited at all anymore since many years
Speedlimits at the Nordschleife makes any lap time null and void.
It’s not 1.1 ratio as you state -narrator. ITS A 1:1 ratio. Huge difference. So if you wish to narrate in future get the speaking side of the script correct and proof read before the vid
trying to storm the loop in a car whose body produces only 100 kg of downforce, and has more than 1000 hp, just by giving it a body kit and installing a spoiler, was stupid
This just tells me how amazing the 992 GT3(RS or not) even beating the 918, they did it with 'just' 500 horse power.
Really crazy right, imagine when MR is in the name🫣
I love how the txt to speech says Koonigsegg
Makes it more entertaining :)
The Gordon Murray cars have around 600 hp. They are built to be great cars, not to set world records.
@@captain_context9991 ironically, his Mcclaren F1 was not built to set records either yet when tested, at the request of a customer, it turned out to be the fastest car ever made at the time. And even now remains the fastest naturally aspirated car. I'm sure his later cars, also not built to set records might still surprise people. Definitely more fun in any case, and isn't that really the point?
@@donutwindy
Yes. Its also worth noting that you cannot legally make that kind of cars today. Its got NONE of the modern standards for safety that are required today. And also as for the chance of T50 accidentally being the fastest car on a track. Thats not what they made it for. And there are other cars that have 2-3 times the power. But it will be great, ofcourse. But I would think it has to compete with Porsche GT3 and GT2 RS. Which is obviously extremely good.
@@captain_context9991 His new cars even with the safety features are even lighter. I don't know how, it's a miracle that other cars can learn from. But I agree, a modern track focused car with twice the power even with a lot more weight, but more downforce, should beat it. I'd still rather own a Gordan Murray. Maybe an Atom, and that's fun, but that's barely a car.
@@donutwindy
Well. back in the day when I was a game designer in England, I had teh chance to be on the other side of that. We had 4-5 supercars in the garage most of the time and it was fun and exciting. But they all eventually turned into houses as we got older. I also did my university degree in marketing with the intention of working for the car industry. So i have been to most supercar factories in the world during that time. Even tho I am... Hardly in the market anymore, and things have escalated wildly since... If you are looking for a 3-4 million bucks hypercar with unlimited power, you are well catered for today. Point was... I still think its cool and a hell of an achievement that they even exist at all. I think Im gonna go for the new Lotus.
Sorry pal, but I just set the record in a Fiat on the ring. 5:55:55
Cones n Eggs has never entered any of their cars into any group test for any major publication. And Chris prohibits owners from doing so. All of their records and feats have occured in a vacuum with no other manufacturers and no independent judges.
It helps create cars with interesting designs that is not only quick on a lot of road conditions but efficient at it
Jesko Attack, nuff said, It will take alot time for any other manf to come up with a street legal car that can lap like this one
EV 🤣🤣
Königsegg ist aber mit dem Regera und 1600PS schneller als das schnellste E-Car der Rimac mit 2000PS . Was nun ?
Why are we talking about mph one time then km/h the other? Koenisegg is europian Germany and the track (Nordschleife) is also. Speak metrik and talk km/h please.
Koenigsegg is fucking Swedish tf are u talking about it being German?
Are there still speed limits on all out runs? Like for the 919/AMG ONE?
No
There are no speed limits if a manufacturer rents the track for a lap record.
@@Nowayfrrrrrrrthere are NO speed limits now at all. Not only when rented
The speed limits were lifted completely in 2016
Porsche will claim it back.
Porsche already is
Next record will be Bugatti or Rimac
You are about 2-3 months late with that comment… Rimac has the production EV lap record at Nurburgring atm.. but that EV time is pretty slow (07:05) and the fastest petrol/hybrid production car is AMG ONE with 06:35!
@@MrGrazzhoppa Ok, but I think they will make the ultimate production lap record again with their next car.
NIssan GTR did a 7min 8sec lap and its a V6. Truly astonishing.
Wait is this voice over ai? I noticed some weird stops at some points
Thanks a lot & yes that is true it is more of a statement to make the buyers/lovers excited 😎
Germany has much better roads than that overmarketed circuit anyway.
Those eggs were on old tyres when attempting lap times and they are not even track focused, the lap times are impressive. Also i dont want to be that guy but porsche is pronounced wrong.
This voice has to be AI when I heard him pronounce it miles per whoure
Suddenly went French for that part.
my only experience of the Nordschleife come from Gran Turismo 4.
Bro record the voiceover yourself. You don’t have 10 extra minutes?
My dad is a developer at koenigsegg (literly no cap!! I swear to god my dad works at as a dev. there) So i asked my dad if and when they are going to make another attempt and he said they'll give the jesko attack a try between 2024 and 2027. ( My dad also drives a lamborghini urus and a audi rs7. He also ordert a Revuelto..... Im getting a huracan performante spyder on my 18th birthday yay
Now they have to go 1:02 faster in order to beat the Valkyrie’s 5:29
If anyone can figure that out it's koenigsegg
I haven't found a single official video about that Valkyrie's 5:29 except a video game video...
The Jesko is Amazing,Koenigsegg is a Genius,he doesn't use a Unreliable Low Hp Mercedes engine like Pagaini, his cars are the real deal all in house.
For the same price I'd take a Koenigsegg everytime.
Unreliable AMG engine that won many races in different configurations in different cars throughout AMG history
I love to drive Jesko on N in Assetto Corsa. It feels much more drivable than all other "luxury supercar" trash
You should also not leave out the bugatti Boglide or the Hennessy venom.
The bolide ain't a road car and the concept version is just BS claims
For only having 3k ish subs you are great at story telling. I didn’t skip through not one time, though you are talking about my favorite hyper car brand.
Thanks a lot Jesse, really appreciate it! Check out our last video of the most hated AMG. You will like that one too, cause it's with pure v8 sounds ;)
Id love to see the egg do a hot lap of the ring. It would be awesome. The Jesko would be a great contender.
Imagine hennessey venom f5 driving in nurbügring with extreme speed and a lot of skills is this even possible?
Would be crazy 🚀
That pile would surely have performed fantastically… 😂
Needs downforce
Koenigseggs are not that nimble in turns. They're straight line monsters. But in winding and twisting roads they're not that good
the new jesko attack was built for cornering.
and an egg still handless better than any Bugatti.
Koenigsegg one:1 broke records all around the world spa fastest production car for 3 years, still has the Suzuka circuit record for fastest production car!
maybe what you mean is about bugatti. for cars that have mainly carbon fiber material without hybrid system the weight is very heavy.🤔
@@gativirycat6686 He clearly doesn't know the latest stuff coming out of Koenigsegg AB.
All these videos just remind me how Impressive the Viper actually was!!
Konenigsegg for sure, I live near Pahrump NV where they set several records on legal hwys. So I'm all in to seee them succeed!
Who will have the record next?
Aston Martin Valkyrie or GMA T50.
Koenigsegg be like: need more speed and power
Koenigsegg be like: "I don't just want to break the speed limit, I want to shatter it into a million pieces!"
They have a torkayy limit?

I was a Swedish speed demon in the 90's but now I'm a speedish swede demon.. For dental reasons.
Long story short: a poorly modified Nissan flipped so no one else can go fast.
I love how, forty years later, BMW have gone quattro!
(Xdrive)
Well a lot of mishaps throughout the years is either the drivers the egg has need to be a little better or the car is way too expensive and not to par. Those years when they had speed limits could have easily beaten the ones that did do good at that time with their respective cars. Lots of excuses imo. I'll believe it when I see it. Peace.
Basically most cars will easily do over 200kph so forget ANY hyper cars trying, NOT just koenigsegg
To me is to be the fastest with the minimun horsepower will be the best car. Porsche all the way. Looking forward to the mission x.
There are videos of koenigsegg talking about the mechanical failure leading to the crash
KNOW ! the fact being the track can't handle a persecution machine like the fou wheel vision of speed and buetiy :D and that how that is :D
Rent the track and you don't have limits, the GT3 RS is faster than all the limits mentioned here.
That corner doesn't need a speed limit ... it needs a $10 million dollar glue trap or maybe giant plastic bags filled with beach-balls.
The jesko is lighter, uses a better suspension and got way more downforce
Watch out Mustang GTD is coming!
You can see the one:1 and jesko being tested, the raw power along with the outstanding grip is well orchestrated in my opinion.
Production car world records, when the "production cars" cost > 3MEUR and production numers are onhundred or less?! Why would anyone consider that even remotely interesting?
I want one of the new Jesco's even though I have to pay for it or any of their models but if it's new it would be better and if there is enough to pay for it
100kg downforce is peanuts - hence they started building big wings on their track cars

Koenigsegg couldn't even beat the time of an M3 at the Nurburgring, so it's not very fast for the track!
Remember that the Koenigsegg CCX is released in 2006 and the BMW M3/M4 (G80/82) in 2021-2022
It's called we don't want you stepping on Porsches toes.
The Jesko is destined to achieve it! O eventually any weapon from Koenigsegg's house
It is not German - banned.

We need that back for homework
Too fast to be allowed a shot at the record because of imposed speed limits?
There's a simple solution that puts everyone on the same page. Make the present record holders rerun the Ring with the same speed limits imposed on them, and if they fail or refuse, take away their record.
Well it proves that Speed doesn't win all races. The car is fast but it becomes uncontrollable in certain parts of the course. multiple crashes has already proven that
I cant tell if this made me more or less of a fan genius cars but no excuse for not having a record

I think the McMurtry Pure will set a new Ring record largely due to the fans sucking the car down with 2 tons of downforce at any speed.
Ja, that thing will set its own new records. I don’t think any full sized hypercar will be able to fight that car on a twisty track, they could try to make time on the straights, of course the McMurtry is quick on that too
@@taidee Think about this.
With the 150mph limiter on the McMurtry at Goodwood, they beat the Porsche 919 Hybrid EVO's record, and the 919 has the Nurburing record of 5:19. Without the limiter or speed limits, how fast do you think the McMurtry could do the entire Ring? Do you think they could break 5 min? I think it would be close, but maybe possible on a dry track.
I wish there was also a mention of if VW actually banned them or not from the test track they own because of them not wanting to prove they had a better top speed than Bugatti. I had heard many rumors about it but nothing concrete.
It’s not the business of VW to get other manufacturers to set a speed record. If Koenigsegg wants to do it, they have to figure it out themselves.
