I miss driving truck and trailer. I'm stuck driving semi and semi trailer, but what I actually want to do is driving excavation and asphalt with truck and trailer (front and back axle trailer with long, extendable drawbar).

It's funny, I watch your videos and I see your dump trucks and them tag trailers. I think about how we do things on the East coast with our dump trailers, tri-axles and tandems. I'm like why is it so different over on the West coast. Keep up the good work

Same thing up north of you, can’t clean your boxes out or even stand behind your box while raised, understand why but kind of sucks when the crap is really stuck. But this time of the year it’s normal procedure lol

Your mind going a 100 miles a minute the morning you had to drive the truck and trailer lol, the load you dumped out of the pup is what I carry on the single axle dump.
It was just like its been the last 13 years, it was an easy transition. Its that dang seat! having to adjust someone else's seat sucks lol.

lol I'm also 5' 4" truck seats are very adjustable. I like to sit far away from the steering wheel so its nice how much you can change.

I’ve always been curious why do straight dumps pull a small trailer like that vs a tractor w/ full size trailer. I would think it’s more beneficial to do that. I bump docks so excuse the ignorance on the dump truck side.

Super Dump is 82,000 and the T&T is 105,500.
How do you judge when to jackknife the trailer. Just curious. Great videos!!
I turn the trailer right in front of the pile and follow it with the truck. That usually gets your piles stacked. There are times where that won’t work because something is in the way but that’s the basic idea.
Huhh. Interesting. I've never seen one of those kind of trailers before. And I'm OLD! Maybe they're just not permitted around CT where I live.
Different weight laws require different set ups. That’s why dump trucks are so different all over the US.
Can you explain, what appeared to me, the light loads in both the dump and trailer? Seemed like you could have gotten what they loaded in both, in just the dump truck.
Loader at the job doesn’t have scales. On this truck the majority of the load goes in the truck. The trailer felt right to me but yes the truck was a few tons light. I didn’t even scale in at the pit so I don’t know exactly how light it was.
How do you like that automatic? A long time friend of mine started with a new company pulling roll off cans with a new truck like yours, Cummins automatic T680 I think, he is in love with that automatic, guess you can't knock it till you try it, love your content Dauminique!
Its fine, I'm getting used to it. I think I'm always gonna be an old super trucker that likes to shift. Times change, just gotta work with it.

The GVW of this truck is 105,500. The super is 82,000 GVW.
Im amazed that the operator at Gold Bar didnt yell at you for putting down a gopro! Feels like most dozer operators in the area are ready to rip your head off at any moment.
Haha I have girl privilege. J/k If you look closely you’ll see that the go pro shot on the ground was later in the day. They were asking me how long I was gonna be up there because it was 3:35 and they were already at the scale house ready to leave.

What is your favorite to drive?I did truck,truck and pup,belly dump,and end dump.I liked end dump the most.Always wanted to try side dump but never got the chance
I prefer truck and trailer. The only one I haven’t done is belly dump. I don’t think I would like that much because they mostly just do pit to pit here.

I wasn’t sure if all your trucks were automatics. How many gears you have in your truck and trailer. That trailer sits really far back but I’m guessing that’s for easy dumping. That’s got to be tough driving that in heavy traffic, you really have to be careful that’s for sure.
We only have 1 manual truck left. This one is gone. The reach is that long for bridge weight, Its not a problem in traffic. You get used to it.
Which do you prefer now that you have been in both a manual and automatic transmission.
I still prefer manual but you have to adjust to the times I guess.
Am trying to figure out why you are loaded so lightly or is that some heavy material? Keep on truck in’ !
It’s was a light load but not as light as you’d think. I was right about 100k lbs.
Can the pup be hitched to the super dump or does the hydraulic axle interfere with the pole.

I have a question I've drove dump trucks and tractor trailers all my life but never what you pull why is the tongue so long on the trailer does it make it easier to dump

It’s for bridge weight....I have another video where I talk about it. As for being too long, I don’t think that’s a thing and it’s not dangerous to drive this truck on the road. It’s perfectly safe, there are 1000’s off trucks built like this.
