Just subscribed to your channel, I grew up in Marcy on a dairy farm and my wife grew up in Clay. We moved to Florida 11 years ago, but it’s nice to see videos of your work and CNY 🙂
I haul out of Jamesville quarry as well, I only go in as far as the dust pile and had no idea that the quarry was so vast. I drive a 2022 freightliner.
Heaven seen you on the road, But I Truck mostly millings in onondaga, Cayuga and oswego area predominantly for Riccelli Enterprises. We are based out of Baldwinsville. The big blue Mack, Stillwater Farms..
I haven’t come out of winter hibernation yet…..soon, I hope! I’ll keep an eye out but I’m terrible about not paying close attention to others 🫣 so holler at me on channel 8 if you see me! 😊
Hello, you & Dauminique, the dump truck driver should talk sometime & you 2 would make a great team working together bcause there's hardly any female dump truck & rig drivers, would love to see you & Dauminique meet each other & go on a job together but in different trucks that would be so cool to see sometime 😎
Hooking up with that big of a supplier is the right way to go---OTR truckers just can't make a living doing long haul. The beauty part is that you are being paid by the hour or ton----can't beat that and they always have work----good move on your part!!!!
This is my first year full time in the truck working construction. I've owned it and run it part time prior to this just for some farming and homeowner deliveries.
Hey awesome Been wanting to switch careers and get into dump trucks. How was your experance starting uu. Work in electroic repair now Also from buffalo area. So eould be close. I basicly need a sponser to get my cdl b
Hi! I took an unconventional path to where I'm at. I worked in IT and drove school bus on occasion so I had my cdl for years. Then I ran a dairy farm and gained experience that translated into the construction world. Now I run my dump truck full time in construction and am working on purchasing more trucks ovwr the next 3 years. I did, however, go get my class A on my own last winter. I attended Canandaigua driving school for a few weeks and would highly recommend that experience. It's not easy or straightforward to get your license on your own in NY anymore with all the online and record keeping requirements. Best of luck to you!
@@TristaBeth thank you. I'll most likely contact uu more about it in the future. Thanks for the advice and I'll check out that school. Honestly sick of a desk job
Hi there, I left IT to manage my family dairy farm. While farming I had some exposure to equipment operation and a guy that has worked in construction his whole life and owned his own company for years took me under his wing, built up my skillset and helped me make the transition. I try to still always ask questions from the amazing people I cross paths with so I stay a lifeling learner!
@@TristaBeth thats great! Thanks for your response. I have been looking for something as a career change and have been researching trucking otr and local trucking.
@jfoley1968jf I was diving into owning my own but before being independent full time, I worked for other companies for a year to get comfortable in the construction world. Most companies are thrilled to train new drivers, there is such a shortage! Good luck!
This comment isn't meant to be disparaging, just informative. I watch a lot of videos but this isn't for me! I didn't see any truck driving, you could have been on a bicycle for all I know...and I don't like music in these kind of videos. Need trucking/industry sounds with 'like kind actions' not talking and music! (I can watch a lot nicer music videos)

That would be fun! I have chatted with her once, we are quite far apart on opposite sides of the country 😊
I tried 🤷🏼♀️ She said she doesn't have any plans to visit NY 🤣
You should do a blooper video & I bet they would be funny

Yeah, you'll get along well with Dauminique bcause she really doesn't like hauling asphalt either, Lol
🤟
How come you didn't scale before you entered to quarry so you know your empty weight
We scale in empty in this quarry on a monthly basis. Some quarries scale empty once a year, others for every visit, depends on the quarry I've found.
@@TristaBeth oh ok. Thanks
Are you looking for a other truck iam selling out
