Nice video bro, good on you representing the nitrous community. Hate that it gets a bad rep from people who don’t know what they’re doing. Got a 150 on my mustang and plan to do a 100 on my Gen 2 coyote truck 💨
@@sawedoff1722it can. If you have the proper setup, tune, and safeties in place, it’s unlikely. But just like a dead injector or bad fuel pump can make your stock engine run lean, a faulty safety can cause the same thing to happen when running nitrous. I asked a LOT of people (on Reddit 🙄) for their experience running nitrous. 99% of the responses were from people who have no experience whatsoever using it. Talk to people who do.
They actually had plate kits that were used under the carburetor back in the day and they did mix nitrous and fuel together similar to yours. The only dry set up I personally remember for carbs were a sneaky Pete system. You had to jet your carb a little rich but the sneaky Pete was such a small shot you barely felt any difference.
Great video man! You did a very good job of explaining everything about how to safely run nitrous. Nitrous often gets a bad reputation because people don't know how to properly set everything up and then they blow their engine or burn up an exhaust valve.
Very very detailed video. It’s cool because @FourPointSixChris gave me the information that I needed to make sure I had all the right equipment…plus he was the only RUclipsr that I was subbed to who uses nitrous. He’s a good dude. Your video demonstrates how to actually drive with nitrous. Chris did mention how many different ways to activate the nitrous. It’s cool to see that you explain several ways to activate the shots. I assumed that I would have to push a button to spray it, but I just want the system to spray on its own. In addition to buying the nitrous kit, I purchased the purge kit, bottle warmer, and pressure gauge. Again…great video. Holla.
Awesome video. Thinking of putting a 75-100 shot on my gt500. Can’t help but think your nitrous bottle is leaking judging off the hair 😂. Joking very nice install and video thank you for sharing.
Dry kits were used aplenty on fuel injected Fox Bodies and Camaros back in the day. We relied on upgraded fuel pumps, an inline pump, larger injectors, and a fuel pressure regulator. It was fine up to a 125 to 150 shot. Over that a wet kit was smarter. Another thing we did was always try to run the tank in the trunk. Reason was if there was a leak from the tank it would be safer for the driver. I would never run a tank in the cabin of a car. Even the hatchback Foxes, as far back as we could.
dude appreciate the vid, looks good. Thinking of getting a 2017 down in Rivera Beach. Want to try either pro charger or dual turbo setup. Thanks for increasing the itch to go fast!!!
Cool thanks! Sounds like I should probably start looking to do a drivetrain swap in mine too once I start spraying. Does your JLT cold air intake kit clear all three nitrous solenoids on the Nitrous Outlet bracket? That’s what’s keeping me from completing my install. I currently have a PMAS CAI on back order. Looking for other possible CAI options in the meantime.
Hello, I have bought a nitro kit NX NX20951-10. Could you help me with the electrical installation. Bring a pedal that is supposed to be tPS. The mustang is from the year 2016. I will appreciate you can do it
How’s the car holding up on that 150:shot? Still on the stock clutch? Do you remember offhand which TPS wire (color) you tapped for your WinMax? Thanks
Excellent content. I have a '19 Bullitt and looking to install N2O. Given the 12:1 compression, should I stay with 125 shot or with proper tuning, fuel, and spark plugs would a 150 shot be safe for my engine?
@@sawedoff1722 I planned to do that then the plandemic happened. Drove it like I stole it for 2 years, though. My advice would be to change your oiler gear before any kind of NOS I’d added
I have a 2015 5.0 gt manual and I’m interested in also doing a 150 shot but the safe conservative way. What upgrades do you recommend I also upgrade to run it safely ?
Logan @Lethal Performance can get you hooked up with everything you need. I’d recommend a full nitrous outlet kit, with a fuel safety switch, a controller, and a secondary fuel system if you’re looking for the safest way possible!
Where did you get your performance pack spoiler from? I have a none performance pack car but I wanted to make it look like one. I already have brembos on it.
I Have that nitrous setup on my vette but I see you’re not running any timing box like the lingenfelter. I’m guessing you Run your NA tune with timing pulled?
Ls_Eater Yeah my tuner says he can do it. I do not want to dump my cats. So 125/150 is probably max shot on E85. If we can get it to spray through the shifts it would be fast.
Only had a single issue and it was my own fault. Sprayed with too little fuel in the tank and melted a plug. Replaced the plugs and she’s back to 100%. I personally love nitrous, when done properly it’s cheaper than any other power added and can always be upgraded 👍🏻

You can use stock injectors on 2018 and up 5.0's because of the direct injection but all 2011-2017 5.0's you would need bigger injectors. Just throwing that out there in case someone with a 2011-2017 coyote owner sees this vid and thinks "oh i can keep my stock injectors? Sweet"
so your telling me, i can do all of this, drill a hole into my trunk, leave a nitrous kit in there, wire everything through, put a big ass nitro kit under my engine, and i still dont get a "nitro" button?
How’s your GT handling the 150 shot? I just ordered Nitrous Outlet’s GT350 plate kit and ProMax dual channel progressive controller for my 2019 Bullitt. Hoping to get some insight from you before I start spraying my car. Thank you, Adrian

How long does a bottle last with a 100 shot and what’s the going rate on filling a bottle. Thinking about throwing a system on my 17 GT.
40$~ to fill a bottle at current rates.
A 10lb bottle on a 100shot will probably last you 7-8 decent pulls. (60-130 pulls, or 6-7 full passes).
I’m not hating but I honestly expected faster but then again it’s heavy either way all in all great car great video

Yes, stock injectors were used. Just a BAP for the fuel system was needed.
Are you using stock injectors or did I miss that in the vid?
Stock injectors on the 150
You can use stock injectors on 2018 and up 5.0's because of the direct injection but all 2011-2017 5.0's you would need bigger injectors. Just throwing that out there in case someone with a 2011-2017 coyote owner sees this vid and thinks "oh i can keep my stock injectors? Sweet"
