- In this episode we fish the first ever Shallow Sport Owners Florida Tournament! It was a fun weekend with great people and a one day tournament with 20 eligible species. We wound up taking 3rd place with 8 different species but the most exciting part of our day was when we were fighting a little blacktip shark and a big hammerhead shark came out of nowhere and ate it!

We do have beautiful water here most of the time. I haven’t ever fished in VA but I hear you can have some great fishing up there
@@StanzFam yes sir. We do have so good fishing here. I just started inshore fishing 2 years ago. I mostly did fresh water my whole life. Looking forward to some off shore trips one day

Hey Nick just curious...I live in NY near the Hudson River and we use Bloodworms (also Herring and Eels) for bait during the stripped bass spawn when they come up river. Do you ever use any kind of worm bait when ocean fishing?

Have a 2015 X3. Really enjoyed it. Just wish factory support was better. Called 3 times over the years with tech question and no one ever calls me back.
Glad to hear you enjoy the boat. The support in Florida has been great for us with our occasional question, sorry to hear you didn’t have the same experience. Seems like they have a great team at the factory the last few years since we ordered ours, hopefully everything has improved and they can help you out if you have any other issues or questions

Nick, Bean would have won that tournament easily if he was in it. He's the shallow water king... as long as he doesn't have to harpoon anything. 🤣
He would have been good to team up with for sure! The inshore/gulf stuff like snook, Tripletail, redfish, catfish, cobia would have been good ones to add to the catch. We can leave the harpoon at home). Thanks for watching 👍🏻

Yikes, Nick! Big shark! People swim and snorkel in those waters! Not me! Your boat seems to be bouncing pretty much. How do you all keep from getting seasick?
As far as I’m aware, no one’s ever been attacked by a Hammerhead Shark since records began over 100 years ago
It was a windy and rough day, I think we were the only shallow sport to fish offshore. Sara gets seasick so she takes original formula Dramamine the night before and again the morning.

Atlantic shark populations need to get looked at. Fishing out of South Carolina we hooked over 30 blackfin and landed 3 the rest all got sharked. Thats not even including the 25-50 bottom fish that got sharked. The populations need to be assessed
