@@SaltyBoysFishing What was the sale price ??
@@rski1036 we got a good deal but not interested in posting sales price. We paid a fair market value
That thing is nice dude. Congrats.
Thanks! Looking to get offshore next season this season have to do a ton of renovation with the boat to feel good going offshore with her!
@@SaltyBoysFishing
Enjoy the process and the journey. 🤙🏻
@topgunsportfishing5182 thanks!
Love sportys!
Who doesn’t!
How does one at such a young age acquire a sport fishing yacht? So far it’s been a dream for me I’m happy for you best of lukk
Just have to sacrifice, do tons of research and then find a fair deal that you are willing to put work into and sit and learn how each part works so that you can do repairs yourself mostly! It’s definitely achievable!
@@SaltyBoysFishing thank you for the answer . Beautiful ship
Thank you for watching!
I don't know why watched this video. But I am super happy for you man. Bon Voyage!
Thanks!
Nice 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks!
Looking for an older sportfish to bring up to Canada for a conversion. Looking to take the tower off though.
Awesome! Well ocean makes a great boat!
Congratulations And good luck fishing.Where are you located
Thank you! I’m located in Virginia Beach right now!
Where are y’all at? I’m in Mississippi. Would love to see a Marlin tail dancing behind her. Also wouldn’t mind a bit if I could manage to be the one to be reeling it in!😎
Right now the sporty is in Virginia Beach! Who knows maybe we do a subscriber fishing trip in the feature?
Looks legit!
Thanks!
You will learn the MOST important part of the boat is the engine room. Odds are she has Detroit's in an extremely tight ER and you will learn Detroit mechanics are aging out AND it's become difficult to find parts. Ever learn what happened to Ocean's 40 ft. hull number one ?
No never learned about hull one! Would love to hear more! Also yes it’s got 671ti inside the er, yes parts are harder to find but not impossible, definitely been learning how to do all the work on them though! I have a video on the beast that power her!
Tell us what happened to hull #1
Still wanting to know 😂
@@SaltyBoysFishing I’ve scoured the internet. THT, Ocean yacht forums, sport fishing forums. All of it. I can’t find word one about hull #1
@jamesranker6275 you and me both!
Oceans are awesome!!
So far I’ve loved it! Many upgrades coming!
@@SaltyBoysFishing that’s great buddy!! I had a 1991 42 ocean for a decade off Jersey I loved that boat and could not recommend it more!!
Eventually want to work up to a mid 90’s 52-55 size range but for now I have a ton of projects coming up in January that I look forward to sharing!
@@SaltyBoysFishing enjoy pal!
Thanks! Anything else you’d like to see in the feature?
Love boating
My first Boat would not be that big! $$
Hey this is my 5th boat! You can work yourself up with boat size and experience! Anything else you’d like to see on it?
👀
Hull #1 sank in the great blow of 81 😅
Happens to the best of em!
These big old boats seem like a bargain, but boats generally require an average of about 10 to 20% of their purchase price (original purchase price) in running/maintenance costs annually. When I say average, you can imagine much lower maintenance during the first five years so as you get further along…
Yes the original purchase price is just the tip of the iceberg! Owning them requires a huge time and money commitment to keep them up and running smoothly let alone the fuel they consume!
Was that a family boat that got sold to you?
It was sold to me by an older couple but not related to me.
Bad ass!
More content on the way!!
I call the twin bunk for myself
Working on converting those to a queen
How much does something like this cost?
There is such a wide variety of factors for cost such as age condition and market at the time. If you are interested go to boat trader and look up some boats in the 40’ range is my best advice
How much for a private charter on this bad boy?!
For everyone or for you ;)
How much
It’s a lot of upkeep monthly and have put a lot into it but don’t feel like discussing on comments. If you want more real numbers you can reach out on our Instagram
Hey man whats the process getting a boat that size especially at that age is there any restrictions.. did u purchase the boat cash? Looking to get into something like that in the future as a live abroad?
So yes I purchased it cash. It is my 5th boat so I’d say first step is get some time behind the wheel of some smaller boats and work up. Then you just have to find the size boat and price that works for you. Buying this boat was no different then other boats for me. One factor to think about is dockage. Will the marina allow liveaboards? Also an older boat like this requires a lot of work so if you are handy I say give it a shot! Just many factors to consider other than the initial price such as it’s monthly and yearly expenses and maintenance. Hope that answered some of your question! Feel free to ask more and Id be happy to answer.
Also there is options to finance this type of boat as you would a house. The main thing is banks won’t finance a boat of this age it would have to be much newer typically less than 20 years old.
You probably paid $45,000 im guessing
Left us hanging how much was the investment? Give your viewers what they want they want a sports fish like yours before 25yrs of age but need to know how to and how much beother $$$$$$$$ youll loose viewers by holding back on the most important info the logistics and steps of acquirement
Thank you for the input! We will be coming out with numbers soon. Starting in January we have many projects coming up and that is when we will start to break down the price!
