Very good talk I got very lucky when my pup was young we got into a good number of wild birds. A little different since I hunt mainly hunt pheasants but getting into birds is huge!

Nice video, thanks. A comment on sharptails and sage grouse. Like doves, ducks, geese, and ptarmigan they are "dark meat" birds and are stronger fliers than the non-native covey birds. Sharpies will often roost somewhere they feel safe and fly out for breakfast and then go somewhere to hang out during the day, and then maybe go out again for dinner. Looking at their crops is instructive. Later in the season they can be challenging to pattern but I find them really interesting.
I seem to appreciate them more and more every time I get to chase them. Thanks for watching.
