My 10 year old chihuahua has lost all of her bottom front teeth. She is never caged and is the princess of our home.
Dee Dee is such a sweety. She deserves you Brooke, for no matter how miserable her life was, today she is a very happy little dog. If you ever think otherwise just look into her sweet wee face and I'll bet she'll smile back at you.
As pet groomer I can say yes she is pomeranian. I see ones like DD and others like the fluffy pom.

I get very upset with people that don't take care of their animals, in fact I get very angry. How can people just throw away these dogs and cats that you see on the streets or out in the country. So glad you found these dogs.

The fact that she was matted and covered in fleas, they don't care for them...
The food aggression is part of it also they feed them as little as possible

I think she was too old to breed, and they just wanted her gone, and dropped her off somewhere

Hi Brooke! I trained my rescue by putting her in a closed room (bathroom, pantry, bedroom for a short time when she ate. By having the door closed, she knew she was alone and could eat in peace. It took a couple of months, but she finally got over it 🤠

@mrscoghillfarm Yes. We have 3 small dogs and we put each of them inside their separate very cushy crates to eat. That way they can relax. I don't think she should be crated given her history, but I bet she would appreciate a private room.

I know I’ve said we had a Pom for over 15 years. He was the sweetest guy. He had an absolute ton of hair. He got groomed every 5 weeks, more than most people. We have a fenced in back yard, if he saw that gate open, he’d be gone in a flash. Miss him. I’d get another Pom in a heart beat. Guess we were lucky, he wasn’t really a barker, but he sat wherever I was,by the door. He was gonna protect us.

Mine lived to 18
I have a blonde/red Pom(Annabelle). She is 16yr 3 mon. My last one lived 13 years(Mira). Mira's mothers name was Skidget. She was a true dark red. The older they get, they need higher protein. I had to add wild meat to her diet so her skin and coat could recover. 6 months ago she had a very thin coat. It has grown back. She has more energy as well. Blessings to you and your animal friends
Theres poms...mini poms..and tea cup poms. Doesn't matter shes yours. She may have had a bad life, but she's living her best life now. Ya'll are awesome. Appreciate Ya'll. ❤

There’s no such thing as a teacup Pom. Poms according to breed standards weigh between 3-7 lbs with 4-5 being preferred for showing in dog shows. There can be some larger or smaller than breed standards but the smaller ones are not categorized by their size and they have a lot of health issues generally they don’t live as long as those that are of a bigger weight

Totally agree! 100%Pomeranian, I also agree with her age. I have had 6 Poms. My first also being a rescue. De De looks just like our Saffron, who passed away from heart failure at age 12. I bred her and she had 4 black pups. I kept them all accept the one the studs mom picked. So I have had a lot of experience with black Pomeranians. All of the puppies were 100% pom, per DNA test the studs owner did before breeding her pup. Our sixth pom came from that litter. She is blonde with a grey under coat.

If she was in a puppy mill as a Breeder, it’s entirely possible she is a pure breed. She may have been stolen from an actual accredited breeder. This might explain a lot of her physical ailments when she first arrived at Cog Hill and her reactions to various situations, like a closing garage door, as well. BUT she found you, so now she lives her best life. Stay safe Brooke.
A lot of dogs are stolen or snatched in broad daylight in the UK. Especially during Covid. If it’s for breeding or selling on, that’s one thing…. Many are stolen for dog baiting which is even more horrendous.
My first thought was a elderly person had passed away and no one wanted her so they dumped her.

What your talking about DeeDee, my yorkie is the same, except she had dog bites on the sides of her hips where the Alaskan huskies she was with were biting her away from the food and she was swallowing the food whole, not chewing, to get enough to stay alive. She got IBS from all that. The vet couldn’t give me anything that helped so I got on the internet and found a holistic medicine for her. We got her at 10 months. She is now 6 years old and the best blessing ever! Love my 7 lb. Yorkie. Love your channel and live your content. Glad I found you and Cog Hill Farms. I watch Jason too. Blessings from OKC.
