  • Welcome to The Lake of the Ozarks! On this episode of Missouri Life TV, we're revisiting this iconic lake for the second time in two seasons. There's just SO much to do and see, we couldn't stay away.
We'll grab some breakfast at Stewarts - with the biggest cinnamon rolls you'll EVER eat. Take a lap around Ozark International Raceway - the premier track for the sport of racing in the Midwest. Indulge our sweet tooth at Grandma's Candy Kitchen - home of Grandma's famous fudge. Take a Stand up paddle board lesson from "Super" Dave at Super Dave's Paddle Craft Adventures. Tour the golf scene and the many BEAUTIFUL courses the Lake offers. Tap into our inner primate and swing from the canopy ropes course at the Malted Money. And finally, end our day with a helicopter tour at Lake Ozark Helicopters, Inc.

I feel like an A hole, I live a stones throw away from LOTO and get to enjoy it all the time, that said there's A LOT to do down there if anyone planning on a vacation to Branson MO or something. Definitely worth it.

I would love a feature of the best Thai food at the lake on the strip. Wok and Roll. The owner Miss Noke is the nicest lady. The food is terrific.

Oh my! That explain it (about 23 minutes in). Bagnell Dam is privately owned by Ameren. My Grandpa and Great-Grandpa worked for Ameren before it was Union Electric and I have some photos, memorabilia, and videos that point to the fact that this dam was special to them. I have thought that Great-Grandpa must have been involved in the construction. Its owner now confirms that is probably true.

Bagnell Dam is pretty cool, glad to hear a little about those who possibly worked on it, of it wasn't for them, we wouldn't have the Lake we do now
