Led Zeppelin formed as a band in 1968 and disbanded in 1980 after the unexpected death of their drummer (the remaining three are still alive). This song was recorded and dropped in 1969. No auto tune back then so what you heard is just how they sounded. Yeah, this is real music. ;) Greatest rock band in history composed of: Jimmy Page - genius producer and master guitarist John Paul Jones - master on keys and bass, and any other musical instrument put into his hands Robert Plant - lead vocalist and lyricist John Bonham - monster drummer, percussion That was a double-neck electric guitar that you saw Page playing. 12-strings on top, 6 on bottom. Edit: They're British.
Headphones on both ears at all times are a *MUST* when listening to older music because of the stereo sound and occassionally the music switches speakers (ears).
@TheReactionChannel-TAP Back then it was all about experimentation so sometimes certain instruments will be in one ear while vocals in the other or the song switches ear to ear in the middle of the song for effect. Stereo sound was new in the 70's. Before that was only static one speaker AM radio. Once stereo came along, bands had fun experimenting with that sound. Queen did it in Boheimian Rhapsody in the middle of the song during the operatic section. When we first heard it back in 1975, we all where shocked you could do that and thought it sounded so cool.
By listening to only the right speaker he is missing the guitar which is primarily in the left. He is also missing the left to right swoosh of the guitar during the chorus...Also there are left right stereo swooshings during the psychedelic section as well as the stereo field of the various cymbals. When this first came out the stereo features were part of the attraction. When I was a kid I used to sit on the floor right in front of the family console stereo just to hear that guitar swoosh across the speakers
They were only together a few weeks in 1968 when they recorded their first album, it was released in January of 1969, their second album released In October of 1969. These 4 music geniuses, are the GOATS of their crafts, & the GODS of music of several genres. Every song they played is amazing, & nobody else compares to their greatness. Sadly they only played from 1968 to 1980, when their great drummer passed away, they knew he couldn’t be replaced. I could list so many great songs for you, my favorite live performance is, live (1973) Since I’ve Been Loving You. It’s a great Blues Rock song, & shows their passion for the Blues. They were all young when they got together, singer & drummer were 19 soon to be 20. All except one was self taught, & that would be bassist & keyboards genius John Paul Jones. Ever sound was created by them , no computers etc. talent at its purist. I hope you choose to go down this great rabbit hole ever.
song "Whole Lotta Love" is 'borrowed from Willie Dixon's blues composition "You Need Love" and Zeppelin was sued for 'borrowing' it. They've been sued for musical theft several times.
Whole Lotta of Love was the first single I bought with my own money at age 12 in 1969. Me being Danish and the band British. They ruled the rock stage from late 60' till around 1980 when drummer John Bonham unexpectedly died. And yes, they are certainly one of the greatest rock bands ever!
BTW, unless you're deaf in one ear you missed much of the song as it's in stereo and mixed with some instruments in one ear only or more than the other ear.
Jimmy has a double neck guitar he uses in some songs live...try a listen to Stairway To Heaven live 1973 at Madison Square Garden!! He uses the double neck guitar in that.
Saw then at my university, Southampton England, in January 1973 - I still have the bootleg of this gig and ticket (£1). Just 600 students crammed into the Old Refrectory (dining hall) - they played 2 hours of their own stuff and an hour of good old rock and roll - we all got up and danced.

The band is estimated to have sold over 300 million records worldwide, becoming one of the best-selling music artists in history.
Greatest band ever!! Watch their live performances!! They will blow you away!!
You're doing yourself a disservice by not having both headphones completely on when listening to Zeppelin
yes 😃
Damn straight
Plus he is listening through his hoodie? Cannot understand that.
the irony of him asking if it’s ‘real music’ and not having two headphones on is comical
