Youre going on about him not hitting "the" apex. But he does hit an apex, just not yours.
Of course no one should be pushed off track, but you werent even pushed out halfway, and he made his move before you turned in.

I think the straight after the turn is too short to get a full overtake on the next corner. Plus the right hand turn is uphill so the inside entry will get a lot of grip right around the apex.

I've been called cliche for saying this, but I'll keep saying it until people understand.
In order to finish first, you first have to finish.
There's no point banging your car up and having to retire because of it just because "the other car shouldn't have been there". Unfortunately it was there, race your car, if someone is doing dirty dives and missing the apexs, let them, chances are they'll end up wrecking themselves or meet another player who doesn't care about finishing.

If you did make contact i wouldn't say it is entirely on him. He made an early apex and kept a consistent and predictable turn rate not opening the steering much during the turn

i genuinely wonder though, if this was a casual sunday i understand. but lets just say its the final lap to the biggest championship of your life. would you have still given that extra room? i just wonder about how a driver would feel/think in that situation.

Well, those cars are RWD, so if you accelerate the car will oversteer while cornering, but if in the 1st corner you braked a bit you could get the inside (beacuse you went from the outside) and clear the corner faster then him.
(Btw i don't know any of this rules)

A dive but it was invited. It was a fair move imo. I would have positioned myself in the middle of the track heading in to the hairpin personally.

As the green driver i would have done exact the same, push you a bit wide, dont lose that much speed and stay ahead to being dominant at the exit to switch line already for the next corner.

In this series you're allowed to use the red/white kerbing. There's a chance he might've got a track-cut warning at the end but he could have still had a little toe on the kerb and been fine
