I'm over the moon about this car! I'm really glad you are putting some love into it. If I ever make it back to the MO/ARK region I will try to get to your shop and run the Pig Trail.
Man I remember this car. These old Porsche have so much character and are beautiful. I really love the look of this car and the color. I can’t wait to see the progress and hopefully the finished product. I’m glad there are guys like you out there that have your passion to save these cars. Thanks for sharing your content.
Hi Leonard. Just stumbled across your channel. Great Video! I remember seeing this car at Palooza. Very cool to learn some of it's history, and looking forward to seeing where you take it, and checking out some of your other videos.
I’ve got my own orange ‘82 911, which I haven’t named, I hope you keep the color as it is the type of thing that just makes people happy when they see your car.
You sir are exactly right. The factory color is E7 - Orange. Somewhere along the way it was repainted in the wrong shade of orange. Maybe Signal Orange which is a great color but this car should go back to the original 74 E7. Which orange is yours?
@@The911Den I believe mine is Signal Orange, it was repainted by one of the previous owners. I didn’t realize how much I would enjoy having this car in that color as it does draw a lot of attention, but all positive. I am a 911 newbie, looking forward to the work you perform on yours. Like the duck tail, mine currently has a tea tray, also like the bumper covers on yours vs the impact bumpers on mine.
I need one of those RUF caps! Great project. Honestly I'd put it back to the NA motor. 74 Carrera is too cool to not consider finding a similar motor. I'd MFI it to make it like a 74 Euro Carrera.
That's a good point and I thought the same thing and was planning to until I spent a few hours driving it around. Hard to give up that turbo power now!
I’ve got mine tore down just like that. Cool 911. Thanks for sharing

Thank you sir and good luck with your resto!
It looks 1000% better with the Fuchs.
I agree. I've removed the Rota 17 inch Fuchs and have a proper set of 16x9 and 16x7s ready. Thanks!
I love the Orange Crush. Been following it with Hoovie for years now. Glad you got it.
Subscribed so I can see what you do. Great car!
Its a great car! Thank you kindly!
YESSSS! Welcome back! I've missed the 911 Den content!
I appreciate that.
You're Welcome! Always love to see some fantastic 911 stuff along with the amazing Dr Funk!@@The911Den

Appreciate it and come on by.
Nice to see some of Hoovie’s former cars getting some love. 😍
Glad to see you, and Crush, back on your channel!
Anxiously awaiting updates!!
Well thank you kindly!
Fantastic purchase .. can’t wait to see the rebuild of the engine and chassis - please share your content
Thank you and thanks for the encouragement!
Always wondered what happened to orange crush. Great to see you have it!
Appreciate it!
What a beast! Hope you give it the new life it deserves.
It will be back better than ever. Very excited to add the upgrades I have accumulated for this car.

Hi Jamie, thank you! I appreciate that. 👋👋
The car found the perfect home. Good luck with the restoration process. Looking forward to seeing it back on the road!
Many thanks!! I’m excited for you to see all the changes
Love this build!
Thank you sir!!
Nice work, Leonard!! That color is so awesome. I am loving this car!!

Look at the drivers door jamb near the door stay for the paint code. Square metal tag.
@@The911Den I should have been more specific, the original color was a maroon or burgundy, it was repainted in what I believe to be signal orange.
Well done video Leonard …
I appreciate that very much.
Mark Donohue’s last IROC.
Spot on!

I hope it doesn't take forever to get it back up to speed!
Porsche #1 love the color
E7 - Orange
excellent!!, I would have done the same thing, all worth it!!!
Thank you! I appreciate that very much.
Badassery I say ! Great video !
Many thanks!!
Thank you for the update! Are you potentially thinking about media blasting before repaint?
Thank you! Unfortunately yes. After deeper inspection I'm going to have to paint the whole car. Looking at different options! 😥
Will you be using the 3.0 turbo motor or going back to the 2.7 NA?
It’s too much fun with turbo and I’d never find the original engine anyway so this will do just fine. 😃
@@The911DenI’m so glad you’re keeping that turbo.
Get her running and just drive it
About half way there! Thanks
Fuel pump check valve
Always a good place to start.
What wheel brand are those?
They are Rota wheels. I sold them.
What color are you going to paint her?
What it was originally E7 - Orange
Grazie
@@The911Den grazie a te per il video
Buon lavoro 🖐
@@motorfab7014 Grazie gentilmente. lo apprezzo👋
Nice to see it in the hands of someone who respects it, and not a person who only bought it for 'likes' and 'clicks'.
Oh I think both prior owners loved the car.
I love this car
Yessss Sir!!!
Oh hell yes!
Right On!!
