These questions are the same ones that I would read in my study guide, then come here and listen and answer the questions from the video as if you were the DME. I also used the other General and Powerplant videos you’ve made and passed those orals and practicals back on 09/30/21. I am now an A&P mechanic.

Just an update, took my A&G on FEB 29th and passed both the orals and the airframe practical. Failed the general practical for dumb shit really which was all me. Doing my retest for my general practical on april 10th. For the Orals some questions I definitely knew because of these videos but if I had to make a recommendation I would say get into this and also study the chapters in 8083s on the sections you got wrong from the writtens and actually understand the systems. Hope this helps
@jairoramirez4699 So what I can tell you for ME personally during my test, Some of the oral questions were word for word from these videos, If I had to put a number on it, prob 5 to 10 questions for my A&G orals. I didn't have many oral questions but I'd be lying if I said these videos didn't help a bit. But definitely DO NOT just rely on these videos.
I’m going to take my written exam and the O&P with a DME next year in 2025 and I’m really worried because I don’t know how to prepare for the practical skills that I have to perform, do you have any tips?
@Moxzy8382 Check in with your school and see if they offer "PRECEPTOR" classes. So I'm not sure how it works at other schools or places etc. But at my old school in Queens, NY. they have something called Preceptor classes where you can go in and pretty much have a guy go over practicals with you. Take it from a guy that graduated in 2016, the classed helped "ALOT" and was very confident for my practicals. So for example The classes that I went to had a bunch of other students, etc so it prob won't just be you. The teacher that does my classes asked former students that have taken the tests already what practicals they did and alot of the practicals that they had in common the teacher showed us how to do it since we'll probably get it too or just some common practicals in general and also threw in some new ones also long story short if you went to an AMT School sew if they have "Preceptor" classes if they do then they should be free since you first paid for them since you started the school.
Pass my Airframe orals and practical today 06/15/22 and will be working at Skywest airlines in a few weeks. The DME asked about 97% of these questions. Thank you so much for doing this to all aspiring mechanics.

I tested Tuesday, every question i was asked on the oral is included in these 3 videos. If you study these and remember all the answers there should be no reason you don’t pass. Thank you for making these.
Just want to say THANK YOU and for anyone who is skeptical leave the worries at the door. I passed my general and airframe O&P with flying colors because of this video. 97%
@@richardkwaning933 They went well! Not hard just have to pay attention to the details. I had to complete the following: weight and balance calculations, logbook entry, temperature conversion, inspect two welds and explain any defects, inspect a spar and explain the type of corrosion, inspect a fuel system and annotate any defects, AD compliance for a prop and engine and lastly the sheet metal project. On difficulty factor I’ll honestly give it a 6/10
I would like to give a shout out to Northeast Aviation Pro for making this video! I tested yesterday and passed my O&P! Every question I was asked is on this video! @@camllo14 whats up man, the questions I got were based on the questions I got wrong on written test. So, study that whole area and know the theory etc. but this video is ENOUGH study material for the orals. Just answer simple and short and DONT add anything else unless DME told you so. For ex. DME asked - What could cause a hydraulic filter to go into open bypass, allowing unfiltered fluid into the system? Ans. Clogged Filter. Thats it, dont explain how and why it got clogged. Hope it helps! You got this!
@jullianbasilio5830 thanks man this helped out alot. I feel nervous but well see. I feel nervous for both practical and oral outs haha. Thanks again man!
Passed my orals yesterday but im gon be honest it all depends on your DME! All the questions doesnt come directly from the jeppeson and even if it does its not verbatim. Some questions are worded differently and some questions are just not in the jeppeson. Use other resources but as i said its a pool of questions that they choose from so.if youre lucky youll get all jeppeson ,if not like myself youre gonna get a mixture. My next bet is use jeppeson and the bakers
@Eli 7177 so I used Quizlet for reading material. Gave my wife my phone and she asked me the questions hell*, to be honest she could have taken the test as well and passed. That's how often she quizzed me. Long story short Jeppesen books/Quizlet and listen to all of the ORAL videos and you will pass with flying colors!

Passed my O&P for General and Airframe yesterday. (10/26/23). While the O questions were close, they weren’t exact anymore….But this vid was certainly very helpful and very close. If you feel comfortable with the topics on here you shouldn’t have a problem. The DME told me that with the new ACS, the questions are given to him based on your written results (I got a 97% on the general and that gave me only six questions for the oral). So the better you do on your writtens, the shorter the O&P portion will be. I got a 93% on airframe and that resulted in 9 O&P on the airframe part. It was all pretty straightforward with no tricks and every book and manual was made available… I’d say for the Os and Ps the BIGGEST skill is knowing where and how to find info in the manuals, regulations, and AC43.13. If you can navigate those you’ll be good to go. Example was “tell me where is says some aircraft can have 2in registration numbers?”. Well we know Registration stuff ispart 45, so it was as simple as looking up Part 45 in front of the DME and pointing to the appropriate reg. I’ll be buying merch to support the help this channel gave me.
@@jacobdunnohew23 it depends… the questions are generated mainly from the missed areas of your writtens… I didn’t get any on fabric (which almost sucks because I’ve done a ton of fabric work) I’d look at the areas you missed… look up the topic codes and study that stuff a little more. The questions, while not exact, were pretty close.
@northeastaviation thanks to you and my professor at WLAC, again, I passed my O&P for airframe and general yesterday with high marks. I offically have my "A" rating. I kept listening to your video over and over and..... Thank you again for this video/audio. The P is next

I just passed my O&P for General, airframe, and powerplant today. These videos are helpful, but I would recommend looking up the quizlet for the ASA questions to. This video gets most of it, but for the Airframe portion I highly recommend doing at least some ASA and studying this at the same time.
@@aleaguilera2993 Hello, there are both ASA and jeppessen questions online on quizlet. The way I studied for it was I used the ASA Dale Crane Book, and I supplemented the rest with this these videos. Study. That’s the best advice I can give. I went to an A&P school that helped with the FAA written test and the hands on portion for the Practicals test but I don’t think you need that. If you study the material (Prepware for the written and Jeppesen for the Orals and Practicals) you should be fine. You have to know the material well enough to articulate it to the DME. A lot of it is memorization. It is a lot of material to get through which is the worse part of it all. Master the material and test should be a breeze.

CONGRATS! How did your practical's go?
@@richardkwaning933 They went well! Not hard just have to pay attention to the details. I had to complete the following: weight and balance calculations, logbook entry, temperature conversion, inspect two welds and explain any defects, inspect a spar and explain the type of corrosion, inspect a fuel system and annotate any defects, AD compliance for a prop and engine and lastly the sheet metal project. On difficulty factor I’ll honestly give it a 6/10

@@camllo14 whats up man, the questions I got were based on the questions I got wrong on written test. So, study that whole area and know the theory etc.
but this video is ENOUGH study material for the orals. Just answer simple and short and DONT add anything else unless DME told you so.

Ans. Clogged Filter.
Thats it, dont explain how and why it got clogged. Hope it helps! You got this!

This is a fantastic resource. An audio medium works far better than book reading for questions that need verbal answers.
I’ll be buying merch to support the help this channel gave me.
were there topics in this video, like doping, that you were not asked in your test? because I know it has changed and some topics no longer exist
@@jacobdunnohew23 it depends… the questions are generated mainly from the missed areas of your writtens… I didn’t get any on fabric (which almost sucks because I’ve done a ton of fabric work)
I’d look at the areas you missed… look up the topic codes and study that stuff a little more. The questions, while not exact, were pretty close.
Where the written test questions a lot different then the asa prep question’s or is it basically the same as before.

I have my Airframe O&P's coming up on the 24th. Im nervous bevause i want to be sure im studying thw right material for my test. Now with the new ffa update, it would be nice if they made study guides specifed for the different secctions in regards to the questions one gets wrong on the writtens.
Ive been studying with this video, reading the ASA Prepware Book, and watching informative videos on youtube.
Im just hoping this video is still valid for a study guide since the new update. But thanks eitherway for making this video.
Nice
I got mine the 26th bro..lowkey scared..I feel like I shouldn’t have listened to everyone telling me to just focus on the sections I got wrong, so now I’m going all over the place trying to learn everything in the Span of a couple days. I going to try and learn these jeppesen questions but more importantly schim through the 8083 and see if there’s any info that I think may be important . Goodluck and lmk how it goes!
@@jeremur-4771 I think its okay to go over the all the sections but importantly go over the sections you got wrong. I already have my powerplant certificate and when I tested for it, most of the questions were directly based off the sections I got wrong in the writtens. Either way, theres going to be a few questions that have nothing to do with anything you studied. I wish you luck too bro, and forsure will let you know.
@@KillaNova4801 alright thanks bro! Kill it out there 💪🏽
@@jeremur-4771 just got my airframe done. I'm an A&P now. Thank God.
It went well, I knew most of the questions I studied for but I was wrong about only being asked questions in regards to what I got wrong in the writtens. I got asked like 4 questions in regards to other sections.
But all went well, just make sure you understand most systems for the oral questions. The practices are super easy because you can always use reference material to look things up
God bless everyone who wants to achieve their goals, just have faith that it'll all work out. 🙏
super nervous but tomorrow is my day for general and airframe o&p exams
Best of luck man. You got this.
How did it go? And we’re the questions asked same as the ones here?
Just wanted to say thanks for these videos. They were huge help on the oral portion of the test!
Thank You for making this video. This Helped alot
You should do time stamps of each chapter. I know I could do it, but that sounds like a lot of work.

@@DonJuann17 Nice dude. Taking my Airframe and General O&Ps Monday. Any tips for the practical portion?
@@xavparry Thanks man, if you went to the school it's literally the projects you did while being there. And don't think too hard, it may seem like trick questions they will ask. Just keep it simple. I hope this helps & also you got this 👍🏿
Can anybody share what's the best reviewer for powerplant written test please? Thank you so much in advance.
Just passed, listened to this right before the test to study
Passed my general and Powerplant O&P this weekend....failed the ComNav on my airframe so I gotta go back 🤦🏻♂️😑
