That camera work on the race footage by Allie O was near perfection
Awesome race bro my prediction was almost right I said you’d run a low 1:51, but ran a 1:52. Great work man!
You were focused out there! I was shocked when I saw you on the screen.
YOOOOO I MADE IT IN THE VIDEO😂 the second lap when you’re coming to the finish line, if you look at those people in the red jackets, I’m behind the railing in the white shirt/blue jacket filming the race! Konnor Hathaway from Portland who you raced against was a high school classmate of mine (he was a senior, I was a freshman) I am now a freshman in college, but I’ve been watching you since then!
Good to see you back to putting yourself into the game. You can't win if you don't roll the dice. Don't let haters get into your head. Just do what your body is capable of.
erm what the derp im gonna deport u now
He’s not in the game😂😂😂 1:52 is a high school time
@@nathans2157To be fair different muscles are required for different races. He hasn’t ran 800m in a while.
@@rest1585 a slow time is a slow time no matter what muscles you are using
@@nathans2157 But good Contextually nonetheless
Solid Rust Buster indeed, nice effort. Looking forward to seeing your progress and getting back in there!
Congrats on stepping back out there and racing the most difficult event in track. There’s more there! Nice.
Man, your kid must be so proud
He has a kid?
@@nc8186 thanks. Pray the child is well. Hope Spence has taken some kind of responsibility in all this.
@@nc8186 where did u figure that out
maybe the mom takes care of the kid??
Could tell the guy in green was going to win by observing his running form on the first lap. He looked the smoothest of the field
nice race man! super cool to meet you, hopefully you come down to some more hayward meets in the future🤙
Nice work bro I’m 5 and run a 1:39 for the 800 is that decent
no
Might as well quit now, 0 talent and it will just be frustrating for you to run slow forever
Benjamin Button?
lol
Rolled
Impressive how your 600m split was almost identical to your recent TT time over that distance. Keep grinding Spence 🫡
Nervousness before a race is the body’s way of preparing for peak performance
heck of a race spencer! Just need to get a few more races in you and you'll be in business. you're in a much bigger gear than the rest of the guys in your race the whole way! Great job man!
Great to see you back out there doing what you live!
Nice job Spencer! Good things ahead my friend!
Really good race, only thing I would’ve said was make the move around that Portland guy with 300 to go. You got this result training in a very different way, its going to definitely pay off! Keep it up!
Well done Spencer - glad you are happy with your race and good luck for the express of the season!
Good Run! Looking forward to seeing your progress through the rest of the season! LETS GO!
LOVE that track work 2 days out, quality stuff
I checked the results on Saturday and thought the time was a great start to the outdoor season.
Moreover, watching you run, you raced! You looked strong and in control….had something in the end. Even your demeanor was night and day compared to last year….you were having fun out there! Imagine that! Lol
Agreed, times are of no concern right now, it’s how you feel and responding to competition!
Checked both boxes….on to the next!
Congrats! Fun watching you race! Looking forward to seeing the rest of your races this season!
Also you didn’t even look tired!
Congrats! Glad to see you back on the track.
i’m so proud of you spence
Good work! Fun watching you race again
Awesome job Spencer.
Great run Spencer. Also your first 800 M of the season. You are going to get so much faster.
Way to go Spence!
I love your videos, the motivate me to keep up the great work

I was so nervous watching that whole thing! Way to go spencer!! So excited to watch you race again.
Awesome attitude bro and sick effort 🔥 👊 keep it up and lock it in
Matti!!!!!!!! Way to represent BC track and field! Congratulations!
That was a fine opener... An 800 to start off is a baptism of fire !
Onwards and upwards Mr Brown :)

W mindset good job out there Spencer
Nice job..!!!
nice work
Right on
Awesome work Mario!!! 😂 great work man keep it up!!!!
LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOO
Nice run against the giants!
Damn, thats impressive
I think a positive from this race was that when you started to lose contact on the back straight on lap 2, you didn't panic and just used the turn to get back up there. Even nipped another guy at the end, which is nice.
Tbh u ran a pretty good race and u had a good strategy out there to and ur kick was great
Boise State guy looked so good
Stops the watch a second early nice!
0:26 I thought "oh that track looks like the one I run on a few days a week" before remembering almost all tracks look the same
Might be time to get in the coaching game.
i don't touch subway with a 10 foot pole these days. risky stuff right before a race
good vid
I respect anyone who does 10 hours of driving to move their legs for less than 2 minutes.
Bro I just ran with Craig Engels with Xenderance! Cool company!
You guys going for the fastest couple on earth
If you had a more open lane that last 100 you would have run 1:51. You’re fit man. You’re actually doing it.
Wow
I love Natasha's video's! I think Mario could take Spencer, but I think Natasha could probably take him, too :)
6:32 captions: *let’s go SpongeBob*
Looks like spence worked at a fast food chain and knows the secret training ingredient
Napolian Dynamite!
800 Peter
Oh what I’d do to run 1:52 again. I’m only 28 but have been training for marathons I doubt I could even break 2:04
✅
800 is a hard distance for a 1500/miler to run first race up. If you ran another 800 next week you would be at least a second faster, another 800 the week after that would see you under 1:50. In the '70s & '80s, the heyday of Walker, Ovett, Scott etc., it was common for guys to start their season 90-95% fit and rely on the first few races to bring them up to peak form for the really big races later on. For a runner with a good endurance base frequent racing at 800 & 1500 is perfectly possible. I would look for as many quality races as you can find.
Everyone is following goggins these days!
Dawg
please fix your arm swing bc you need to drive them up a lil higher, your form looks fine otherwise. congrats on you xendurance partnership!!!!!!!!
4:28 ;)
Omg bro, race again soon you need to get consistent with it.
😀
Feel like the 8 isn't Spencer's distance he's too short. More of a 3k or 5-10k guy even imo physique wise that would suit him best
What can't Ari do??
He can't stay healthy for a full season of racing 😢
David Goggins.
TCRC! Lfg
wtf was that moaning in the beginning 😂
first
Fast 800? For high schoolers maybe.
If you are not nervous before a race, then why are you racing? That's exactly what I tell my athletes.
First >:)
My nipples used to get chafed too but I started wearing a bra and it stoped
💀
lol he is so little
okay no lie shave literally weekly no beard for you
Great job Spencer!
Let's go Spence!
